Moon comes back from Florida glowing like a man who just discovered winter doesn't have to hurt, and suddenly we're debating snowbird life, Boca Raton condos, and whether Missouri should legally relocate to Destin for spring break. This is your favorite daily comedy show, and today we are aggressively pro-sunlight.We break down Missouri's top spring break destinations (Redneck Riviera confirmed), argue Atlantic vs Gulf Coast beaches like it's a custody hearing, and discuss why Lake Havasu sounds like a Girls Gone Wild fever dream from 2003.Then Valentine's Day stories roll in.Lern takes Tim to the Endangered Wolf Center for an adults-only “VAL” event that included chocolate-covered strawberries and a deeply educational look at wolf mating habits. Yes, there was footage. Yes, Rizz immediately questioned whether the wolves were even real. It's romance, nature-style.Rafe attempts ice skating for the first time in his adult life and learns that there is, in fact, an expiration date for acquiring certain athletic skills. Buckets were stacked. Pride was tested. Heads were lightly bonked. Nobody tore an ACL — which honestly makes this episode a success.Scott celebrates Valentine's with sushi and F1 (bold move showing Brad Pitt on the most romantic night of the year), while Rizz wages war against a florist who tried to invoke “fine print” on a hotel flower delivery. An elite Yelp energy moment if we've ever seen one.We also dive into:– Mardi Gras arrest numbers in Soulard (surprisingly low)– The ethics of alleyway vs. porta potty decision-making– Watching Django Unchained with your teenage son and answering “Was this problematic?”– Why certain movies hit different when you're not 28 anymore– And whether we have officially aged out of learning new sportsIt's reflective. It's ridiculous. It's Midwest sarcasm colliding with Florida optimism. And it's another chaotic installment of your favorite daily comedy show.If you're here for a funny podcast that blends pop culture commentary, real-life fails, St. Louis energy, and Rizz and the gang arguing about beach sand clarity — welcome back to the daily comedy show that refuses to grow up (even if our knees say otherwise).Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
A Missouri skating coach is gunned down in a morning drive-thru robbery, leaving a tight-knit ice rink community in shock as police arrest a suspected serial robber. American skating couple Madison Chock and Evan Bates won the silver medal in ice dancing at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The French team narrowly won gold despite visible mistakes. The couple told CBS News they delivered their "absolute best performance" and thought they would have won gold as controversy swirls around one judge's scoring. Leena Panwala and Tim Drury share their stories with "CBS Mornings" about how they're raising awareness and money for INAD, a rare genetic disorder. Panwala created the INAD Cure foundation after her daughter was diagnosed. The disorder affects about one in 1 million children. In 1969, a 17-year-old was found dead with 14 stab wounds in a field in Wahoo, Nebraska. Authorities couldn't work out why she'd been targeted and the case went cold for more than 50 years. Natalie Morales reports on how authorities eventually made an arrest. Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show has led to a huge spike in interest in his music and Puerto Rican culture. Dorian González Vega, the beverage director at Union Square Cafe in New York City, joins "CBS Mornings" to make some signature drink recipes. "Sinners" cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw says she doesn't want the audience to notice her work because "you wanna make it so good it feels like a dream." The Oscar nominee is the first woman of color nominated in the cinematography category and only the fourth woman ever. It's the only Oscars category never won by a woman. She talks about her career journey to this historic moment. In this episode of The Sports As A Weapon Podcast, host Miguel Garcia is joined by a new friend of the podcast, Eri Lee, a PhD grad student and researcher at the University of Minnesota. Eri shares their insights on how the US national team serves as a tool of US imperialism and neoliberalism on the global stage, the role of Asian diasporic athletes and the model minority myth, and the impact of media representation in sports. Eri also delves into their personal experience as a former Team USA synchronized Ice skater and current skating coach, highlighting the challenges and biases in the sport. Miguel and Eri also cover topics such as gender testing in sports, the meaning of liberating skating, and the urgent issues surrounding ICE activities in Minneapolis. Additionally, Eri also touches on their work with the Sports Scholars for Justice in Palestine, @ss4jPal. This episode is a prime example of how sports can be both a site of resistance and a perpetuator of systemic inequities.Links* Eri Lee Website * Bridging the Gap Between Sport Studies & Asian American Studies by Eri Lee* On Assimilation Politics: Reflections of an Asian American Athlete by Eri Lee* Milan's Winter Olympics met with protests against ICE and Israel by Ana Vračar/Peoples Dispatch* Why the Olympics—Not the Super Bowl—Became a Political Football By Michael McCarthy/Front Office Sports * Chloe Kim & More Fire Back at Donald Trump Calling Team USA Teammate a ‘Loser' by Paige Strout/Yahoo Sports * A Minneapolis Teacher Wants the Whole Country in the Streets by Dave Zirin/The Nation Miguel Garcia and Comrade E produced this episode. Today on the show, we're excited to welcome Katie Wieners, the owner of Monstera's Books in Downtown Overland Park! Katie lives in Overland Park with her husband, Justin, and their two daughters. Before opening the bookstore, Katie spent nearly 15 years in software sales, building a successful career that many would consider the “safe path.” But after becoming a mom for the second time, she realized something important: the work that once energized her no longer felt aligned with the life she wanted to build. So she made a bold shift. In March 2024, Katie opened Monstera's Books, a beautiful blend of books and plants that quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Then in summer of 2025, a fire forced them closed. After extensive rebuilding the store and inventory, they reopened in time for the holidays. We're talking about what it looks like to pivot careers as a mom, follow a dream that feels a little scary, build something from the ground up, and create a space where other people can feel at home. Katie's story is such an inspiring reminder that motherhood doesn't close doors — it can actually open the right ones. Follow Monstera's on Facebook and Instagram.
