Who is the hardest person to believe and trust? My guest today is Tim Stearns. I am guessing his name isn't jumping out to you? Oh wait, wasn't he in that movie "My Blue Heaven" that great 1990 film? Fun fact he was. Sort of...Tim is here to read his letter to Bob his Step-Father that became so much more. Having an earthly father provides invaluable guidance, support, and love, serving as a foundational pillar in one's life. A father shapes a child's understanding of strength, compassion, and responsibility, helping to navigate the complexities of the world. Equally vital, however, is the relationship with our Heavenly Father. Knowing God and putting faith and trust in Jesus Christ is paramount, as He offers the ultimate salvation from sin. Jesus' sacrifice and teachings provide a path to eternal life, peace, and a profound sense of purpose. Embracing this divine relationship enriches our lives, offering hope and an unshakeable foundation that transcends earthly challenges. Join me as I walk in Tim's shoes.

“Sextortion is huge, it's a massive problem”. “In my 30 years of policing, I've never seen a crime type that is tipping previously mentally well young people into a crisis as quickly as sextortion does”, Sarah Mclean (Australia's first cyber cop) said. Today's episode is in response to the below post by Scott Page, the barefoot investor.  https://www.change.org/p/36-months-raising-the-age-for-social-media-citizenship?source_location=discover_feed  Sign this petition to raise the minimum age Australian teenagers can sign up for social media accounts from 13 to 16. From Scott Pape, the Barefoot Investor  _________ Wayne is a 50-something Barefoot Dad. His son Mackenzie (Mac) is 16 years old, and obsessed with footy, cricket and getting his L-plates.  The trouble began when Mac befriended a girl on Snapchat who was friends with some of his friends. “Hi Sweety, what do you do?” she wrote. Mac told her that he was the captain of his footy team and that he liked to work out.  She told him he looked like he had great abs, and then sent him a photo of her breasts. Mac responded by sending a nude photo … but without his head in the shot.  She returned the favour, sending him a nude photo … also without her head in the shot. And after a few more minutes of flirting, they both sent nude photos of themselves with their heads in shot.  Then Mac's phone rang. On the other end of the line was a middle-aged man: “I've got your photo, and I've hacked your Snapchat. Mac, you are going to put $500 into this bank account in five minutes, or I will send it to all your contacts. “I'm counting”, he barked, then hung up. Mac immediately transferred $500 to the man's bank account. And then Mac's phone rang again. “Mac, I've got your $500. But now I want another $500. And if you don't pay me another $500, you're going to be embarrassed.  Your parents will hate you, and you'll want to kill yourself”, he snarled before hanging up. And then Mac did what you would want every single kid to do in this situation: He walked out of his room, found his old man, and tearfully said, “Dad I've made a big mistake”. And Wayne did what every single parent should do in this situation: He lovingly put his arms around his son and said “Mate, you've done nothing wrong. You are the victim here. Everything is going to be all right.” And then Mac's phone rang … again.  Wayne grabbed the phone and, quick as a flash, made something up:  “This is Senior Sergeant Holdsworth from the Mornington Police. STAY AWAY FROM MY BOY!” The scammer listened, breathing down the line, and then coolly replied: “I don't care about you or your son. You can both die.”   And to prove it, he sent the photos to all of Mac's friends on Snapchat. Now he was forced to live with the consequences of his actions … which began at footy training the next night. (Thankfully, his coach turned it into an educational session for the boys on the dangers of sending explicit photos.) The next few months were understandably rough for Mac.  Yet, at dinner one night, Mac was back to his old self, joking with his sister and laughing at Wayne's dad-jokes. Things had turned the corner, Wayne thought. As Mac went off to bed that night he told his old man that he was excited to put on his L-plates in the morning. And then Mac went to his room and killed himself. The next morning, Wayne opened Mac's door and found him dead. He sat there with his son, now cold and lifeless – and his entire world fell apart.  One afternoon Wayne found himself in Mac's bedroom, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was a note. Dear Dad, Things haven't been the same for me since that photo. I'm really embarrassed. I've let you down.  I am so sorry. Love, Mac  __________ HOSTS ASHY BINES Web: https://www.ashybines.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ashybines/ LEVI WALZ Web: https://mindbodyhq.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/themindbodyguy

The charm of podcasts lies in their ability to intertwine the spontaneous with the profound, and the latest episode of our show is no exception. The episode begins with the delightful chaos of a Sunday brunch at the Thunderson Estate. Imagine a morning where espresso martinis flow freely, and the echoes of the previous night's escapades linger in the air. This candid snapshot of our hosts' routine sets the stage for a series of events that anyone with a penchant for humor and a bit of empathy for tech-related misadventures will appreciate..Technical glitches, email mishaps, and the question of whether Gmail itself might have a sense of humor become the source of many laughs. The hosts' chemistry is evident as they banter, reminisce, and even tease a colleague about his brunch readiness—or lack thereof. These are the unscripted moments that give podcasts their unique flavor, offering listeners a chance to be that proverbial fly on the wall.As the episode progresses, it delves into the unruly banter of a night that seems straight out of a sitcom. The topics are as varied as they are hilarious—from bar misadventures, including a misunderstanding about a glory hole, to the intricacies of bathroom stall etiquette. It's a reminder of how life's most ordinary moments can be the source of extraordinary humor. But what truly sets this episode apart is its shift from the lighthearted to the soul-stirring. Christopher James, a guest with a story as melodic as his music, shares his journey.  From touring with the Wu-Tang Clan to the deeply personal ballad "Dear Dad," his experiences are a testament to the transformative power of music. His narrative of facing his father's past and finding solace in his art is a compelling interlude that balances the episode's comedic tones.  Supporting local music talent is also a significant theme, and the hosts take a moment to reflect on the what-ifs of local legends. They ponder the pathways to success and the nuances of talent going unnoticed. The episode then transitions to sharing a snippet of the song "Love Your Life," further solidifying the message that music, with all its emotional beats, is a vital part of our existence. To wrap up, the episode revisits the morning shenanigans, but this time with an anticipation of the future—looking forward to a trip to Montana and discussing the show's rankings. It's a clever way to close the loop on an episode that meanders through various topics but never loses sight of its essence: to entertain, to inspire, and to connect. For podcast aficionados and those new to the medium, this episode is a must-listen. It captures the spirit of spontaneous conversation while offering a glimpse into the hearts of its hosts and guests. Tune in, laugh, and maybe, just like the hosts, find inspiration in the melodies and stories that define our lives.Krystyle's "Dear Dad" Video Youtube https://youtu.be/K_1z7Y2rdkE?si=D9FsgkKjjWmJdpPYSUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNELSInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/tid_show/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thetidshowYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNFGDMKtSD71JwFrMnModUg https://www.thetakeitdeepshow.com

Hi there,I hope you're well. Now this episode is a bit of a special one. It's the 100th episode so I thought I'd do something a bit different. It's my dad's 80th birthday and I started writing him a letter the other day to try to express how grateful I was for some of the things I remember. Yet, I found the process really quite thought provoking, so I wanted to share it with you.Dear Dad,It's your birthday today and although we're not together, you always feel really close to me.I often recall our time spent together as I was growing up. I guess I thought it would last forever and it didn't occur to me at the time on that day as I left for uni that I was actually leaving home for good.I think words struggle to express the gratitude a child owes to his or her parent. However, I wanted to let you know that I have so many happy memories of growing up and am grateful for all that you have done for me and my sister.I remember you holding onto my bike as I was learning to ride in the park and then letting go at just the right moment when I could balance enough for those first few exhilarating metres of freedom. I also remember, probably a few months later, you racing down the steepest hill in town behind me when my brakes were failing and taking hold  of my handlebars to help me avert disasterThank you for fixing my punctured tyres, as well as all the other kids' punctures in the street. The way you toiled for hours one fathers day when other dads were relaxing, you helped build a massive cubby house on the old tree stump. Building a zip line that became centre stage for all us kids in the street to dance with danger, even if Mark I danced a little too closely to danger. You showed me how it's much more exciting to fire fireworks across the ground rather than up in the air.How not to burn out a wasps' nest with petrol.I was so impressed when you spent weeks converting an old Ford Transit ambulance into a campervan but it was when you and I went to pick up the old ambulance together that I enjoyed most.Love, I've heard it said is spelt by children ‘T-I-M-E' and it was the time that you and I spent together that I cherish the most. The time when you let me ‘help' you do jobs around the house and garden. I know now that you could have gotten those jobs done a lot quicker on your own but it meant so much to me to be by your side. The time that we'd spend on camping holidays, just walking to the camp shop for a bottle of milk and a newspaper.  Or just walking up from the beach to buy some frothy coffees to take back. Those quiet times may not have seemed like much to you, but they meant the world to me. I was spending time with my dad.Taking me to athletic meets or racing radio control cars every Tuesday night at the school hall. How you spent hours and probably a fortune in 10ps to win me a digital watch in the shuffling shelf coin drop slot machine.Even though you bought me my first car, it was our road-trip to Wales to look at buying a beat up combi that I remember the most. Especially when the rusty door slid off as I opened it. It needed more than a bit of welding. And now I am a father as well, I know it can't have been easy for you. The tension between balancing the need to work to put bread on the table with the desire to spend time with your family.I now try to imagine the trade-offs you had to make. It must have burned to see us head away on summer holidays while you had to stay home to work. You gave me the mindset that things can and should be fixed. You taught me to drive, and then how to shake things up in snow and mud.The Swiss Army knife you gave me is still one of my favourite possessions. The way is can fix almost anything reminds me of you.I've learnt so much from you, but most of all, how important it is to be a dad. Thanks for holding on, and for letting go.I see you dad, I'm proud of you and I love you. Dads on the Air

With special guest: Samuel Johnson OAM… in conversation with Bill Kable Samuel Johnson gave his contributors only one restriction when he contacted them about writing a letter to their Dad for a book he was editing. Their letters had to start with the words “Dear Dad …”. Faced with this task what would you say? Samuel himself is such a noteworthy character and he is candid about the relationship he had with his own father. Samuel wrote his own contribution as well as editing those from 85 other luminaries. Samuel likes taking on a challenge in a good cause. When his sister Connie was diagnosed with breast cancer she suggested that he should unicycle around Australia. With that completed he said what next? The great thing for us is that it lead to this beautiful book called Dear Dad. Podcast (mp3)

Today, March 24th 2023, would have been comedian Louie Anderson's 70th birthday. I first met Louie in 1989, when he published a book of letters to his alcoholic father, a book called Dear Dad. We talked again about that book a couple of years later, and then in 1993 I interviewed him again, for his book called Goodbye Jumbo, Hello Cruel World. Louie struggled with his weight, and his self-image, for decades. Of course, he turned his weight problem into a source of comedy that made him immensely popular. But it was in writing both those books that Louie Anderson really started to figure out who he was, and what he really wanted. So I've decided today to offer you highlights of both interviews , starting with our conversation about Dear Dad. S

Fight Night by Miriam Toews is a love letter to mothers and daughters, and grandmothers and granddaughters. Where It Runs Out - Breaking Toxic Family Cycles

In this episode, I will share a personal glimpse into an email exchange between my father and I from several years ago. It is meant to help anyone who's ever felt that if they just explained themselves better, or found the right words to help their parents understand, then maybe they would be heard. We will examine more deeply how the toxic narrative overshadows the truth of how hard we tried, and how releasing the need to be understood and seen can truly set us free. *Please note that all names and situations have been generalized or omitted to protect the anonymity of all parties referenced. Two Way Communication With GodEphesians 3:17-19 “ and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.At my prayer group, we put together a book mark each month from the words of prophecies that are recorded throughout the month.  We have a discernment team of four people who go through all the words given and decide what they think Jesus was calling us to that month, what was His proclamation, what was His promise, and what was His directive.  We then put these together on a bookmark for all of our members.  It is our way to remember what it was that God had to say to us that month.  I thought today I would share out latest one with you.  Here is what it says:“Do not fear to come to me. I am your God; I am your joy, your hope, your greatest love. Draw nearer to me every moment and watch the heavens light up with love. You are my child. I love you and I will destroy anything that keeps you from loving me more. I am renewing and healing your heart once more and forever, for my love for you will never ever stop. Bathe yourselves in the river flowing from the throne of God. Let yourselves be carried away in the current and do not be afraid, for I am your God and I love you. Don't just lean or rest your head on me, throw yourself and all your cares on me.”Isn't that amazing?  There are so many things I love about that message from our Lord.  First He starts off telling us not to fear coming closer to Him because He is our God.  You might wonder why He needs to say that.  Why would someone be afraid to come closer to God?  I think this happens more often than we think.  People are afraid to come close to God because they are afraid to get hurt.  Maybe they have a past that is full of pain and mistrust and they are afraid to trust God because they worry He will let them down like so many have in the past.  There are others that are afraid to come close to God because they feel unworthy.  They are afraid God won't love them because they don't love them self.  God knows all of this and starts our right away telling us to be afraid.  Next He says He is our joy, our hope, and our greatest love.  This is so important.  If we come closer to God we can find the things that we are looking for.  We are all looking for joy hope and love.  These can all be found in our heavenly Father.  He is longing to give us all of these things.  He is just waiting for us to come closer and to rely on Him, to lean into Him.  Then it says, to draw nearer to Him every moment and watch the heavens light up with love.  That is a beautiful visual.  Can you imagine what it would look like when heaven lights up with love?  I just imagine bright white lights everyone.  Almost like fireflies filling all the skies, everywhere you look.  Also, fireworks, and they are all white just bursting in the sky and filling it with light.  It makes me smile to think God would be so happy just because we draw nearer to Him with each new moment.  This month's word from our Lord goes on to say that we are His children.  He loves us and will destroy anything that keeps us from loving Him more.  Isn't that an awesome promise from our heavenly Father?  He will destroy whatever is getting in the way of us loving Him.  What is getting in the way of is loving Him more?  What things are we allowing to come between us and God?  Turn them over to the Lord.  Ask Him to destroy those things so you can focus on Him so you can love God more and more.Next the word says, I am renewing and healing your heart once more and forever, for my love for you will never ever stop.  How amazing is that?  God is renewing and healing our hearts once more and forever.  How many of us need our hearts renewed and healed?  How many of us are tired of the heartache of this world?  How many of us need our hearts healed from all the pain this world has caused?  How many of us really need to hear today that God's love will never ever stop? The verse ends with, bathe yourselves in the river flowing from the throne of God. Let yourselves be carried away in the current and do not be afraid, for I am your God and I love you. Don't just lean or rest your head on me, throw yourself and all your cares on me.”  This is another amazing visual.  Can't you just picture being carried away in the current of God's river?  There is a song by Jason Gray called “I'm Gonna Let It Go,” and in this song he has a line that says, “Being carried in the current of your love, when I lean into Your arms, You're enough.”  I always loved that line in the song.  If you are someone who tends to worry a lot that is a great song to listen to.  It makes me smile just to think of bathing in the current of God's love.  Can you just picture God's love washing over you like a river?  The very last line is one that I think we should all make sure we hear today.  God is telling us, don't just lean on me, don't just rest your head on my shoulder, throw yourself and all your cares on me.In other words, don't be half in and half out.  Don't kinda rely on God. Don't tell Him you are turning your worries over to Him, but then continue to try to fix them yourself. Be all in.  Throw all your cares on God and let Him fix them.  Turn to Him and love Him with your whole heart.  Rely on Him and trust Him with everything, not just those things you feel safe handing over.  God is calling us to come close to Him, He is telling us not to be afraid because He is our God and He loves us.  He will never let you down!  Wasn't that an amazing word from God this month?  Did you know God wants to talk to you like that as well?  Did you know you can sit and ask the Lord to talk with you? I have mentioned this before, but I will mention it again because it has been really powerful practice for me.  If you want to hear the Lord talk to you, all you need to do is sit and listen.  Let  God know you are available to listen and He will talk.  However, if you are like me, and you struggle to sit still and listen you an try a journaling exercise.  I sit down and I write a letter to God.  I usually address it Dear Dad, or Hi Dad.  Although when I first started I felt that was too informal and so I started with Dear Father.  You can address the letter however you like.  Then you write in this letter anything you want to talk to God about for the day.  Whatever you would say to Him if you were having a conversation with Him, because you are.  When you are done with that letter, you can ask God to answer your letter back through your pen.  Then you start a second letter and address it to yourself.  I usually start if off with My Dearest Daughter, but you can begin the letter in any way that you want to.  Then you write whatever comes to your mind.  The trick is to not sensor the letter, not judge the thoughts and question if they are from God.  You asked Him to answer you and when we ask He answers.  Just start writing, without judgement, or too much thought whatever comes into your mind.  This has been a really awesome way for me to grow closer to God.  If you have longed for a back and forth conversation from God this will be life changing for you.  Some of you listening may already hear from God just by sitting in silence and listening.  If this is you, I still encourage you to give the letter writing a try.  See if it is any different.  I learned this exercise from Fran Groin at The Life Purpose Institute where I earned my spiritual coaching certificate.  I hope everyone listening will give this a try.  At first it may seem strange, but it gets easier and having these letters from your heavenly Father to go back and read is so great.  Remember this word the Lord gave us when you read your letters.  God loves us and so when you write nice things know that is How He truly feels about you.  God is calling us to come closer to Him, let's answer that call.Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless all those listening to this episode today.  Lord, we thank you for your amazing words you gave to the prayer group.  We thank you for loving so well and so completely.  We thank you for finding ways to show us how much you love us and want us to throw ourselves onto you.  Lord, we ask you to help us do this.  We ask you to help us to come to you and to bathe ourselves in the river of your love.  Lord we ask you to help us grow closer to you.  We ask that you show us how you want us to do that and then give us the strength or will power to do it.  Lord, I ask that you help everyone listening to this episode try the journal exercise.  I ask you to give them the courage to try something new and I ask that you make it fruitful for them.  Lord, we love you so much and we ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, Amen.Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus.  I look forward to spending time with you tomorrow.  Have a blessed day!

Your Faith Journey - Finding God Through Words, Song and Praise

When something turns out to be the opposite of what we expect, we face a form of reversal. Reversals are like big reveals because they change our understanding of everything, and our expectations are turned upside down. When this happens, we suddenly see things in a new light and reality changes in an instant. Such forms of reversal are threaded throughout Luke's telling of the Jesus story. Luke's gospel assures us that the kingdom of God, in its fullness, will confound our expectations and overturn our understanding of life experiences. Things will seemingly be turned upside down. This is especially true when it comes to power, privilege, wealth, merits, and rewards. Luke assures us time and again that in God's kingdom those who struggle in life now – those who are at the bottom or on the fringes of society – will suddenly find themselves at the top and in the center. Beginning with Mary's astounding, prophetic Magnificat, then throughout the entirety of Luke's telling of the Jesus story, this great reversal is articulated. In today's gospel reading, we get yet another example of the reversal of expectations in God's kingdom. Today, Jesus speaks to us about getting lost and, of all the parables Jesus preached, the story of the Prodigal Son is perhaps the most profound. Today's story tells of a father who had two sons.  In this parable, the younger son asks for his share of his father's estate.  He comes to his father and says, "Father, divide the inheritance between me and my brother and give it to me now."  In effect, he is saying, "Dear Dad, drop dead now, legally speaking.”  As a parent, when I look at what the youngest son is demanding, I can imagine there is something within his father that dies when hearing this.  Anyway, the youngest son gets the money, and the older brother gets the farm and the family business.  The younger brother goes off exploring the world and ends up spending all his inheritance on wild, thrill-seeking living.  He ultimately ends up in want, working a job where he is slopping hogs for a farmer.  Now it is important to remember that pigs were an abomination to the Jews and people who cared for swine were cursed.  So, in this story, we are given a picture of a young man who is hungry, destitute, and cursed as he is sitting in the filth of a pigsty while envying the very slop he gives the pigs. All his resources have been depleted and he reaches the point where he must face his mistakes and failures. It is in that place that he has a revelation.  For this wayward son, that filthy pigsty, that ditch of life, becomes a place of revelation!    When he finally comes to his senses he says, "This is crazy.   How many hired servants does my father have who all have bread enough to spare and I'm perishing here with hunger? I know what I'm going to do."  So, he develops yet one more scheme for his life.  He decides he will go to his father and say, “Father, I've sinned against heaven and before you.  And I'm no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me one of your hired servants."  He knows he has been as dead in the eyes of his father, and he doubts he can ever again go back and live as a son.  Therefore, he tells himself, "I will now go back and work to earn my father's favor again. I will be a good servant and do whatever is possible."   What happens next is that, from a distance, the father sees the son returning.  Luke writes that while the younger son "was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him."  Did you notice the father never says a single word to the younger son?  The father's actions tell the whole story by his physical welcome and embrace. His actions alone say, "I have found my son."  And did you notice that the son never even gets a word out of his mouth until after his father's embrace. What a testimony to the Father's love. The son's confession is not a pre-condition of forgiveness.  His confession comes after he discovers he has already been forgiven. Confession is not something we do to get forgiveness.  The truth is we have already been forgiven.  The act of confession is something we do to celebrate the forgiveness we have already received.  You see, there is nothing we can do to earn forgiveness.   When we know how much we have been forgiven, we want to turn back to God. This is truly a reversal of our assumptions and our expectations. Well, what happens next is also astounding.  The father, saying not a word to the son, turns to the servants and says, "Bring the best robe, bring a ring for his finger and shoes for his feet, kill the fatted calf and let us eat and be merry for this, my son, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found."  This son, the seemingly good for nothing son, is home. He has been raised from the dead by his father's embrace. He has done nothing to earn it, and all that matters is that the father has called for a party to celebrate the finding of the lost. Yes, it is the father's will to have a party!  Everything is fine and the celebration is in full swing.  However, now the older brother re-enters the story.  He comes up, hears the music and the dancing, sees the wait staff serving platters of food and fine wine, and asks one of the servants, "What is this all about?  I didn't plan a party." The servant says, "No, no, your brother has come home, and your father has killed the fatted calf because your brother is back, safe and sound."  Then, oh my, this older brother is so like us. He is focused on achievement, merit, and reward, and he gets angry and refuses to go into the house.  He will not join the party. Instead, he gets out his score card.  He says to his father, "Look, all these years I served you. I never broke one of your commandments and you never even gave me a goat that I might have a party with my friends. But when this, your son” - notice he doesn't say, this my brother - he says, “when this, your son, cuts off his relationship, this your son who has wasted his inheritance with riotous living, wasted all you gave him with prostitutes, when this son comes home, you kill the fatted calf and throw a party!" The father then responds, saying, “Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.” This is a stunning story of reversal regarding our expectations of what God is like. You see, God is always with the lost. There is no point at which God will ever stop following and pursuing us.  God will always seek the lost.  The reversal theme in Luke's gospel is all about a God who lavishly showers us with forgiveness and grace and will never give up on anyone. And this God will always shatter our expectations because Jesus turns a spirituality of climbing, achieving, and perfection – as with the older son – upside down. The one who has done wrong and is humbled about it is the one who is forgiven, transformed, lifted up, and rewarded. Those who are proud of how they have done everything right, but also feel superior to others or feel they are now entitled, are not open to God's blessing.  When commenting on this story, Richard Rohr writes: This is Jesus' Great Reversal theme. He turns religion itself on its head. We thought we came to God by doing it right, and lo and behold, surprise of surprises, we come to God by doing it wrong—and growing because of it! The only things strong enough to break open our heart are things like pain, mistakes, unjust suffering, tragedy, failure, and the general absurdity of life. I wish it were not so, but it clearly is. Fortunately, life will lead us to the edge of our own resources through such events. We must be led to an experience or situation that we cannot fix or control or understand. That's where faith begins. Up to that moment it has just been religion!   God is always there with arms outstretched in welcome, ready to receive us with forgiveness, grace, love, and celebration. Come home to love. This is the place where the deepest joy in life is found!

In this episode, I specifically share the impact of my father's absence on my past relationships and how I've learned to overcome them. If the story seems incomplete, its because it is! lol Enjoy

Ryan Holiday had access a surreal conspiracy. Probably THE most surreal conspiracy of modern day. And he wrote about it in his new book, "Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue" It's a narrative nonfiction, which is new for Ryan. And that's what makes it the best book he's ever written. In this interview, Ryan tells us how he unraveled a conspiracy and why it was the hardest book he's ever written. He also quotes a handful of Stoics, something I'll always appreciate about having Ryan on the show.
