Hello to you listening in Lake Worth, Florida!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.Working with my clients I become deeply involved in their Creation or Origin Stories. Creation stories provide important information about culture, values, ancestors and so forth that are passed down from generation to generation through storytelling. These stories inform our lives and help us create our own professional and personal stories.Often we imagine that only our good, wise, best choices and opportunities deserve to be part of our Creation story. Not so! I'm here to tell you, “Out of a whole lifetime, by God, sometimes the only thing that saves a person is error, and I know that we shall not be saved so long as our error is not precious to us.” [Clarice Lispector, from the story “Mineirinho”]You see, when we embrace our wrong turns, dead ends, mistakes and missteps as being precious to us, we can learn who we are not, who we are not meant to be, what we are not called to do. In our errors we find our very own powerful Creation story.  My clients ask me how to find the powerful Creation story that belongs to them and where to start. I tell them: “Just pretend like it will all make sense if you simply begin.” And. It. Does.Story Prompt: When have your errors and missteps guided you to the heart of your narrative? Write that story!Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story. You're always invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, would you subscribe and spread the word with a generous 5-star review and comment - it helps us all - and join us next time!Meanwhile, stop by my Quarter Moon Story Arts website to:✓ Check out Services I Offer,✓ Arrange your no-sales Complimentary Coaching Consult today,✓ Opt In to my NewsAudioLetter for bonus gift, valuable tips & techniques to enhance your story work, and✓ Stay current with Diane on as “Wyzga on Words” on Substack and on LinkedInStories From Women Who Walk Production TeamPodcaster: Diane F Wyzga & Quarter Moon Story ArtsMusic: Mer's Waltz from Crossing the Waters by Steve Schuch & Night Heron MusicAll content and image © 2019 to Present Quarter Moon Story Arts. Hi to all my nieces and nephews out there! A first time story at USSE for Mitch Grosvenor was also first up this Wednesday night and he crushed it. Clearly a natural, Mitch told a great one about a Ninja and Pirate themed party the got busted up by the cops and the hijinx that ensued. Next up, all the way from Lake Worth Florida was Daniel Ferrer. Not only had Daniel not been to a USSE before, he had never been to Bar Nancy! He was a total natural as well. He recounted a story of going shooting with his less than sensible friends and how a near miss cause a potential catastrophe. Thank you Daniel. It was Victoria Bates' first story with us as well. Her story of going to Nebraska to follow dick and getting a tattoo in Omaha. She's a badass bitch, and we loved it. Last up was Roberto Anaya's 3rd USSE story. His sailing story about "executive decisions" at sea go wrong. Loved this week! Stay Scotchy, my friends! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Kelly Kingston travels with two board bags wherever she goes. And she goes everywhere. There are enough obscure stamps on her passport pages to cause even the most jaded TSA agent to blink twice - Haiti, Peru, Columbia - her travel bag of choice is made by FCS, and it's most often filled with Firewire boards like the Sci-Fi, Baked Potato, and Omni - her favorite. She surfs it often near her home in Lake Worth Florida. In 2016 Kelly received more than 150 surfboards from Firewire. But she didn't surf them all. They were distributed worldwide through her organization Share The Stoke. Since 2008 Kelly has used Share The Stoke as a vehicle to donate over 700 surfboards to kids in more than 20 countries. But she began small. In fact, the origin story of Share The Stoke carries the same intrigue as any tale of inception, whether two computer programmers in a Palo Alto garage or Jeff Kelly, founder of Sanuk, creating prototypes in a Del Mar garage and making all the original sales calls himself. In this new episode of The Wire Podcast Kelly shares a lot about the accidental path that led her to her purpose in life which is to, in her words, ‘Share the gift of surfing”. We're excited to have you join us.

Participants in the Everglades Earth First!, the Earth First!
