Lesson 85:They include the sincerely truthful, the martyrs and the righteous; amongst these are the great signposts of guidance, the lanterns illuminating darkness, possessing virtues and merits that have been related to us; and amongst these are the abdaal and the Imams of the religion to whose guidance the Muslims have unanimously agreed. They are the aided group about whom the Prophet ﷺ said: 'There will never cease to be a group of my Ummah who are upon the truth; those who oppose them will not harm them, nor those who betray them, until the Hour is established.'We ask Allah to make us from them, that he not deviate our hearts after having guided us, and that He grant us mercy from Himself for He is the Ever-Giving. And Allah knows best. May Allah send abundant peace and blessings upon Muhammad ﷺ, his Family and his Companions.Lesson Notes: sc.isb.org.au/aw-ntsLesson Date: 11/06/2025
Lesson 84:They prohibit boasting, arrogance, transgression, and showing contempt over people, with due right or without due right. They also command high moral values and prohibit the lowly ones.In all that they do of this and anything else, they follow therein the Quran and the Sunnah; and their path is the religion of Islam which Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ with. However, because the Prophet ﷺ informed that his Ummah would split into seventy-three sects, all of them in the Hellfire except one, which is the Jama'ah, and in another hadith he ﷺ said: 'They are those who follow what I and my Companions are upon today', those who follow Islam in its pristine purity, free of blemishes, are Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. Lesson 83:They order people to keep duty to their parents, to maintain the ties of kinship, to be good neighbors, to treat the orphans, the poor and the wayfarers well, and to be gentle to slaves.Lesson Notes: sc.isb.org.au/aw-ntsLesson Date: 25/05/2025
Lesson 82:They call to fine conduct (akhlaq) and good deeds, and they believe in the meaning of his ﷺ saying: 'The most complete believer with respect to Imaan is the one with the finest conduct.' They urge people to join the ties of kinship with those who have severed them with you, to give to those who have deprived you, and to overlook the faults of those who have been unjust to you. Lesson 81:They believe it part of their religion to sincerely advise the Ummah. They believe in the meaning imparted by his ﷺ saying: 'A believer to another believer is like a building, one part of it supports the other', and he interlaced his fingers. [Bukhari, Muslim]And in his ﷺ saying: 'The example of the believers in their mutual love, mercy, and affection is like a single body: if one limb is pained, the whole body complains of fever and sleeplessness.' [Muslim]They command patience in times of calamity, gratitude in times of ease, and contentment at the bitterness of the decree. Lesson Notes: sc.isb.org.au/aw-ntsLesson Date: 14/05/2025
Lesson 79:[A DESCRIPTION OF THE GOOD CHARACTER AND ACTIONS THAT COMPLETE THE AQEEDAH OF AHLUS SUNNAH]In addition to these fundaments, they enjoin the good and prohibit the evil as required by the Shar'iah. They believe in performing Hajj and Jihad, they attend Friday prayers and Eid prayers with the leaders; be they pious or wicked. They preserve and up-keep the congregational prayers.Lesson Notes: sc.isb.org.au/aw-ntsLesson Date: 30/04/2025
Lesson 79:The third fundament is consensus (ijma') which is relied on in matters concerning knowledge and religion. They use these three fundaments to judge everything that people do of speech and deeds, both inward and outward, which is connected to the religion. The consensus that can be accurately ascertained is that which the Righteous Salaf were upon for after them, differences increased and the Ummah spread.Lesson Notes: sc.isb.org.au/aw-ntsLesson Date: 23/04/2025
Lesson 78:They know that the most truthful words are the words of Allah and that the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ. They give preference to the speech of Allah over the speech of all the different groups of people, and they give precedence to the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ over the guidance of everyone else. It is because of this that they are called Ahlul Kitaab was Sunnah. They are also called Ahlul Jama'ah because the word Jama'ah here refers to unifying, the opposite of which is splitting. This holds true even though the term Jama'ah has become the actual name of the people themselves who have united together. Lesson Notes:bit.ly/Wasitiyya_NotesLesson Date: 16/04/2025
Lesson 77:[THE ATTRIBUTES OF AHLUS-SUNNAH WAL-JAMA'AH] The path of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama'ah is to follow the footsteps of the Prophet ﷺ inwardly and outwardly, it is to follow the way of the forerunners: the Muhajirun and the Ansaar, and it is to follow the Prophet's ﷺ legacy when he said: Hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Khulafaa' after me. Hold fast to it with the molar teeth. Beware of newly invented matters because every innovation is misguidance.Lesson Notes:bit.ly/Wasitiyya_NotesLesson Date: 09/04/2025
Lesson 76:In types of knowledge and spiritual unveilings, and various manifestations of power and influencing. This is related from the nations of old in Surat al-Kahf and in other Surahs of the Qur'an, it is related from the Salaf of this nation: the Sahabah and the Tabi'een, and from all of the various generations of this nation. They will exist amongst them until the Day of Rising. Lesson Notes:bit.ly/Wasitiyya_NotesLesson Date: 26/02/2025
Lesson 75:[THE STANCE OF AHLUS-SUNNAH WAL-JAMA'AH REGARDING THE MIRACLES OF THE AWLIYA'] One of the fundamentals of Ahlus Sunnah is to believe in the miracles of the Awliya' and that Allah causes supernatural feats to occur at their hands. Lesson Notes:bit.ly/Wasitiyya_NotesLesson Date: 19/02/2025
Lesson 74:Furthermore, if one of them did commit a sin, which he then repented from, or he would do such good deeds as would erase it, or he would be forgiven by virtue of his earlier merits, or if he was granted forgiveness through the intercession of Muhammad ﷺ, since the Companions are the most deserving of his intercession, or he would be afflicted with a trial in this world, then that would all serve as an expiation. Therefore, if this is the case with regards to sins that they may have actually committed, then what about the issues in which they made ijtihad, bearing in mind that if they were correct, they would have two rewards, and if they were wrong, they would have one reward and their error would be forgiven them?! Moreover, the amount of the actions of some of them that one could find objectionable is negligible when compared to the virtues of these people and their good deeds such as their Imaan in Allah and His Messenger, jihaad in His way, hijrah, nusrah, and their beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. Whoever studies the lives of these people with knowledge and insight, considering the virtues that Allah blessed them with, will come to know with certainty that they are the best of creation after the Prophets. There has not been any like them, nor will there be any like them. They are the select amongst the generations of this Ummah which is itself the best of all nations and the most honorable with Allah.
