Murrow College of Communication, returned to WSU when he took over radio broadcast announcing duties from Matt Chazanow in fall 2024.King came back to Pullman after announcing for minor league baseball and Division I broadcasting experience with the University of Idaho Vandals and at Boise State University. He works for Washington State Sports Properties, a division of college athletics media company Learfield, and has won awards for his previous work. The landscape of college sports continues to change and Ian isn't a fan of seeing change. He'd like it to remain where it is right now with 10 teams. If San Diego State comes to the conference, does it move the meter? Matt Chazanow, Voice of the Cougars says it's a no brainer for San Diego State to join the Pac-12, especially considering what they've done in basketball of late. He says it simply fits. Should Pac-12 fans be concerned? Chazanow says there's a lot of precedent set in the past when it comes to conference realignment. He still thinks there's a lot of juice in the Pacific NW and doesn't see things change in that sense. When it comes to Washington State, he's extremely happy that Kirk Schulz is the President, specifically because he understands the landscape and is extremely proactive. David James, KUTV and The Zone says SDSU's intention to leave the Mountain West while applying for an extension shows that the Pac-12 media deal isn't going to happen in June.
