Ian did not commit a sports sin last night, abstaining from the NBA. There's plenty to talk about with the Mariners, specifically with JP Crawford making his own decision to move to third base. Eddie Olczyk, National NHL Analyst joins Ian to give us a look at the NHL playoffs as a whole and where the Kraken are heading in their future. Edzo says Seattle needs a star, and they don't have one right now. Mariners and piggyback! JP Crawford is willing to move positions to stay with the Mariners. That speaks a lot about him. Ian talks about what it really means. JP should be celebrated for this. Who should be the backup catcher? Eno Sarris, The Athletic joins Ian to give his thoughts on Colt Emerson's debut, as well as JP Crawford's flexibility to move to third base. JP deserves his flowers for his bat, regardless of what we've seen in the decline defensively. Eno also addresses the potential damage that bringing up players 'too early' can do. Of course, we have to talk about "piggybacking" with pitchers. Finally, we have to talk about Mason Miller and the Athletics. The Daily Power Play! Corbin Smith, Emerald City Spectrum joins us to give us some perspective on the NFL schedule release and what it means for the Seahawks. There's no such thing as a perfect schedule, but this worked out pretty well for Seattle. Two of the final three on the road isn't great, but Ian likes the collegiate feel of it. He also shares why he's so open with his own experiences with mental health and how he wants it to help other people. Finally, he shares his style of play. Steve Palozzolo, The 33rd Team joins Ian for an extensive breakdown of the Seahawks in the NFL Draft. Plus, a look around the NFC West and what the Niners and Rams did this year. He talks in depth about Lod Angeles' decision to take Ty Simpson in the first round and how they're building their team. Ian sees no way, under the ownership of Tom Dundon, that the Trailblazers move to Seattle. The teams here treat their players and staff with first class candor, and he does not have that. Ian tells you why he thinks the Seahawks jumped up for Beau Stephens and, despite the criticisms on his arm length, his ability to get to the second level is valuable. Greg Cosell, NFL Films joins Ian to give a wrap of the Seahawks' draft and tells us what the film says! Carroll is coming to town with that WIN FOREVER attitude. Joe Sheehan, The Joe Sheehan Newsletter joins Ian to give his first-blush reaction to the Mariners moves at the trade deadline. He thinks they did the best they could without giving up a few major prospects. However, not a huge superstar-driven deadline overall. He thinks Ferguson will help the team more in the postseason.
