Introduction: Thursday night is why we watch sports. Two games. Two things you might never see again. A straight steal of home by Tampa Bay's Randy Arozarena in a playoff game against Boston, the first such postseason steal in 76 years. And a double punt -- yes, a double punt -- in the Seahawks vs. Rams game. 4:00: Mark Craig joins host Michael Rand for their NFL picks segment. Mark is basically taunting Vikings fans by saying there is no way they can lose to the Lions on Sunday. While Rand tends to agree, anything is possible. Plus a look at the Packers vs. Bengals and other big matchups this weekend. 17:00: Mike Hastings, head coach for the Minnesota State (Mankato) men's hockey team, joins the show to preview a big weekend series between the No. 1 Mavericks and No. 2 St. Cloud State. We also discuss the expanding State of Hockey with St. Thomas joining Division I and just how Hastings has been able to build such a successful program at Mankato.

In 2008/2009, I obsessively studied for and passed the two hardest bar exams in the country- New York and California.  That brutal year of tests, combined with the stress of extremely high stakes litigation and the ups and downs of life, exacerbated an existing eating disorder to the point where I knew I needed help. Life coach Mike Bayer was the one who I reached out to to help me find treatment. Fast forward to 2021, Coach Mike and I have both evolved a lot! It was so great to catch up with Mike and reflect on how things were back then, his rising stardom and success (2x NY Times bestselling author, a Dr. Phil regular, recovery expert and Tik Tok star), and all things law, life, victimhood and so much more.  Check out this episode to hear about all this, and how he got over 4M likes on Tik Tok by giving out advice while wearing Speedos.Support the show (http://lawflip.com)

Training doesn't have to (and shouldn't) leave you feeling demolished. Do you see glimpses of success? Then you're on the right track. We want to break down just enough to recover and come back, not sit in the shop. A deeper look at how accumulating volume prepares you for the race and why you don't have to put in massive bricks and training rides just to prove you can “do it.” We look at smart cycling and gearing, along with running the run and how to pace, hold back, and have something left at the end.  Topics:  Slow to warm up “Worst Ride of My Life” comments Colins Cup  Road bike vs. Tri Bike  It's not equipment, it's the motor Bike on a bike that's comfortable The most un-aero-dymanic thing on your bike Swimming and body position Smart trainer Bike Gearing Start small withe the basics It's how you USE Equipment How to attack an Ironman run  Do you trust that you'll be fresh on race day? Accumulating volume Weekend Warriors Going to the Bank every day Training paycheck to paycheck It's not a swim, a bike and a run, it's total time Just look for glimpses of success in training Dial in your life Look at the body of work, not the Red workout Race with the horse you trained on Building confidence Give your body a Fender Bender When and how to pull back in a race  --------------- Coach Mike is accepting full-time athletes.
