They discuss which team feels worse: Leafs or Knights. The duo also dives into the Carolina Hurricanes' Evgeny Kuznetsov's Slow-Mo Shootout Move and discusses whether that takes real skill or is just a flashy maneuver.  Another hot topic on the agenda is the controversy surrounding ticket sales for Round 2, as the Carolina Hurricanes and Ticketmaster limit purchases to fans in specific regions, potentially blocking out NY Rangers supporters.  Additionally, they dissect the recent coaching change for the Seattle Kraken, exploring the rumors that some players threatened to leave if Dave Hakstol remained at the helm. The drama continues with the Rod Brind'Amour coaching offer saga, questioning the timing of negotiating this during the team's Stanley Cup run.  Rae and Andy share their predictions for the PWHL's Walter Cup winners before diving into a surprising revelation for Andy about his St. Louis Blues.  Andy shares a recap of his recent work gigs, providing play-by-play in the roller hockey world.  And they debate singer Shania Twain's hockey loyalties or lack thereof. Andy is a freelance play-by-play hockey broadcaster who recently covered the ACHA National Championships in St.Louis, MO and works with the Champions Hockey League calling games. On today's episode of Locked on NHL, Seth Toupal and Nick Morgan start with the surprise firing of Seattle Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol. Seth and Nick look at the drop off from last year to this year for the Kraken, and why it may be that Ron Francis has a name in mind to be his next head coach. We discuss the fits potentially for Craig Berube and Dean Evason. Seth and Nick move to the heartbreaking Game 4 loss for Nashville, in which they squandered a 2 goal lead with under 3 minutes to play. They look at the injuries the Canucks have overcome and big performances from their top players to take the game over. Seth and Nick finish by discussing the Colorado Avalanche, who used a Game 1 meltdown in net as a rallying point to take full control of the series. Seth and Nick discuss the depth scoring, and how the Avs have continued to hammer away at Connor Hellebuyck.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Monopoly GO! - Get in the game and join your friends. On today's Daily Puck Drop, we cover the incident involving Yankees manager Aaron Boone and home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt. if you didn't see it or hear it, Wendelstedt ejected Boone for something he thought he heard from the dugout but video footage showed it was actually a fan in the stands sitting behind the dugout. Wendelstedt doubled down after the game with a pool reporter and claimed it came from the Yankees dugout.  MLB needs to do somthing about their umpire problem. it continues to erode the integrity of the game. NFL draft coming up on Thursday, we have Danny Kelly from The Ringer on the show later today.  Kelly's episode drops at 1pm on all platforms. What should the Seahawks do at 16?  Agree with Kelly, if Troy Fautanu is there, you run to the podium and make him the selection, even if Michael Penix is available, still take Fautanu!  There is no doubt that one, two or three of these quarterbacks taken in the first round will not work. Who will it be?  I think that quarterback will be Jayden Daniels. I explain in today's show.  Last thing on the draft, "Puck's Draft Watch Party" coming up Thursday at 5pm. We'll broadcast live on YouTube: PuckSports and on X/Twitter @Puck2040, in addition at PuckSports.com.  My guests include, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, who will be in the network studios in Los Angeles tracking all the picks and trades. NBA playoffs were unreal last night...Jamal Murray game winner vs. Lakers and Donte DiVincenzo against the Knicks. Just remarkable games last night.   Also talked about my project with Iconic Sonics podcast with George Karl that came out on Tuesday. You can find it anywhere you get your podcasts. Coach Karl talked about his visit to OKC and how it felt going there for the first time. Plus, his thoughts on today's game and where he ranks Nikola Jokic among the all-time greats. Ron Francis met with the media and certainly didn't give Dave Hakstol a ringing endorsement. Was it Hakstol's fault or the GM who put the team together?New weight loss drug? Crystal Meth?  Former actress tried it out...should I ??Lastly, Voicemails return!! Masters is windy. She gives us a take on the Mariners from an outside perspective. Heidi doesn't think the Mariners need to worry at this point of the season, and would feel worse as an Astros fan right now. She has true belief in the Mariners as the rotation is one of the best and the bats will come around. Finally, she tells us how to get Apple TV for FREE! The Mariners finished their 6th game of the season last night and already we're seeing red flags. Poor defense and lack of contact are already arising. Hugh Millen joins us to discuss just how big football has become, as we basically get it all year round. What improvements could we expect on the offensive line in the draft, as well as with the maturation of younger players? Plus, what can a good O-line coach do for the next generation in the trenches? How good could Oluwatimi be this season? Hugh stays with us to dive into the guard available in the draft and where the Seahawks would be most likely to fill those positions. Ian reacts to Hugh's thoughts on the Seahawks offensive line and how much stronger they have the potential to be this season. They certainly need a left guard this year and that needs to be a priority. Steve Palazzolo, Pro Football Focus stops by to give a quick reaction to the Mariners bad start today, being a former Mariner himself. Getting back to football, Steve tells us what he thinks of the Seahawks' O-line this year, what they're likely to do in the draft to fill those positions and the type of players he expects Seattle to covet. The Mariners are having a rough go of it today. Ian points out that the lines we're seeing on the ice for the Kraken right now show us that Dave Hakstol is not making the call. Ron Francis wants to see what the future holds. Washington State has a new head basketball coach in David Riley and he's looking like a phenomenal hire. Ian is surprised Angel Reese declared for the draft and wonders if the popularity we saw in women's basketball is sustainable.

Three Stars of the Week covers everything from the Colorado Buffaloes making noise in the NCAA tournament, crawfish boils, Outlander on Netflix, a book on Anthony Bourdain, Jeff attempting not to blow out his ACL in a fundraising race that he has done zero preparation for, and Dave Attell's new Netflix special that Joey cannot recommend enough. Ending, as always, with the Chirp of the Week.Subscribe:On All podcasting apps, rate & review on iTunes, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify!Presented by The Hockey Podcast Network with new episodes every week. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram at @KrakenPodRelease the Kraken!#SeaKrakenDraft Kings disclaimer:Call (800) 327-5050 or visit gamblinghelplinema.org (MA), Gambling Problem? Sylvester Stalone, Cliffhanger! What's worse: being the person who is visibly sick around others and pretending that you're not or a person who talks themselves into being sick all the time?! This week's Kraken Reaction (8:19) covers everything that has gone wrong in the current 4-game losing streak, why Joey has never been more pro-Dave Hakstol that he currently is, how star players in the NHL get special treatment, and how the vibes of the Seattle Kraken are going to flip right as the team heads into the all-star break. In NHL News: Jeff talks about the Edmonton Oilers signing Corey Perry and a new rumor going around the league as to why he exited the Chicago Blackhawks organization. No Dumb Questions (37:20) this week is a special double dose with member of the Kraken Pod Fam Darby O'hare asking what is up with the teams that throw the seafood on the ice as well as if it's true that some hockey barns purposefully change the height of the away benches to give the home an additional advantage. Three Stars of the Week covers everything from David Fincher extending his contract with Netflix, Jeff's moving woes, Jason Kelce flexing in the NFL playoffs and Joey's conspiracy theory, the Detroit Lions moving on to the NFC Championship game and much more.
