In this episode, an Army veteran and lifelong Bigfoot researcher shares chilling first-hand encounters with massive Sasquatch in Northern Utah's Ogden Canyon and Monte Cristo Range. What began as a late-night drive through the Wasatch Mountains turned into a terrifying face-to-face encounter with an eight-foot-tall humanoid figure, complete with eye shine, a human-like scowl, and overwhelming presence.Years later, during a winter trip above Pineview Reservoir, the witness experiences a second encounter—this time involving two Sasquatch, including what appeared to be an older and younger individual displaying protective behavior. He describes strange vocalizations, cloaking or camouflage-like movement, enormous tracks in the snow, and a tense standoff that ended without violence.

His advice: seek veteran ADs, find a trusted mentor, build strong relationships, and recognize the time demands of the job. In a roughly four-hour period, Northern Utah saw two separate incidents of small plane crashes, one on the highway near Morgan, one on a lake short near South Jordan.
Send us a textPat Davies enjoyed participating in a variety of sports in his youth, including Little League and swimming. As an adult, he found new outlets for his competitive spirit, spending a decade in karate, moving into marathons and ultrarunning, hiking, and even competing in the unique “ride and tie” races that combine running with endurance horseback riding. He has completed over 100 hikes to the top of Lone Peak, over 11,000 feet up in the Wasatch front in Northern Utah. Now 68, Pat embraced gravel biking a year ago, and this summer, he completed a 4,000-mile solo ride across the United States from Anacortes, Washington to Maine. While members of his family would sometimes meet him at stops along the way, he braved storms, equipment breakdowns, headwinds, and long lonely roads, averaging 76 miles a day and chronicling the journey through daily YouTube videos. Pat lives in Sandy, Utah with his wife and four children and continues to prove that adventure doesn't have an age limit.

Throwback Title: Mule Deer Hunting on the Wasatch Front with Kip Fowler Show Notes: A Southern Utah native, Kip now lives and hunts in Northern Utah, along the Wasatch Front. Backpacking bow hunting in the high country is one of his specialties, and he shares some of his advice for how to improve your hunting game. Kip was always worried about becoming too reliant on technology, but there came a point when he realized that it was actually holding him back and it cost him a prize deer. That's when he started to look for tools that would make the hunt easier, and he shares some of his adaptations. It's so easy in bowhunting to get discouraged, especially when you have moments where you get so close, but then something goes wrong. “Really successful bowhunters are constantly trying to eliminate the things that could go wrong”, says Kip. And they stick with it. A lot of bowhunters will spend tons of time practicing their shot, testing their equipment, and planning their hunt. But they'll forget to try out the food they're going to eat ahead of time, and that can lead to some seriously unpleasant surprises out in the backcountry. Don't forget to test your food, and your body's reaction, before you head out. Pictures can help you remember a hunt, but they don't tell everything. Kip and I both have journaled some about our hunts, and the details we recorded are so much different and more helpful than just looking at pictures.
