The WadeOutThere Fly Fishing Podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in fly fishing. Hosted by Jason, the podcast features interviews with a wide range of fascinating guests who have made a career out of fly fishing. Unlike many other fly fishing podcasts that cater to the elite, Jason stays grounded and relatable, which makes it accessible and exciting for novices like myself. Once you start listening to this podcast, you'll be hooked!

One of the best aspects of The WadeOutThere Fly Fishing Podcast is the high quality content on fly fishing strategies and techniques. Jason brings on guests who are experts in their field and delves deep into their knowledge and experiences. This allows listeners to learn new techniques, gain insight into different approaches, and improve their own skills as anglers. The podcast offers a wealth of information that is valuable for both beginners and seasoned fly fishermen.

Another great aspect of this podcast is its variety of guests. Jason interviews not only professional anglers but also individuals from different backgrounds who share a love for fly fishing. This diversity provides different perspectives on the sport and introduces listeners to new areas or techniques that they may not have considered before.

The only downside to The WadeOutThere Fly Fishing Podcast is that sometimes the episodes can feel repetitive, especially when discussing similar topics such as gear or specific locations. However, this can also be seen as an advantage because it reinforces important information or allows listeners to hear different opinions on the same subject matter.

In conclusion, The WadeOutThere Fly Fishing Podcast is an excellent resource for anyone passionate about fly fishing. With its high-quality content, diverse range of guests, and informative discussions, it offers something for everyone regardless of their skill level or experience. Listening to this podcast has reignited my love for fly fishing and I look forward to each new episode with anticipation.

In this episode we WadeOutThere with Chelsey Christy, from Denver, Colorado.  Chelsey started fly fishing on Colorado's South Platte River and immediately caught the fly fishing bug.  She was spending so much time fly fishing and in her local fly shop, that they asked her to start guiding.  Chelsey soon began searching for a way to connect with nature and the river on her own, further from some of the pressured waters of the front range.  Her searching took her to Southwestern Colorado's many mountain creeks and streams that she now enjoys exploring and fishing on her time away from guiding.  Chelsey is also an artist, and balances her time between guiding and painting. She has made several fishy designs for Colorado Trout Hunters Guide Service, where she also guides. We discuss the importance of your local guide shop when starting out, tips and tactics for high mountain creeks in Southwest Colorado, and how Christy embraces the beauty she finds in nature through her paintings. To learn more about Chelsey and the topics we discussed in this episode, or to schedule a guided trip, check out the following links:ColoradoTroutHunters.comChelseyChristy.comIG: Trout_Christy (fishing)IG: Chelseychristy (art)Newsletter Sign-UpView Jason's ArtworkThanks for listening.VR- Jason

In this episode we WadeOutThere with James Mugele from Livingston, Montana.  James started fly fishing while attending college in Vermont.  After befriending a retired fishing guide from out west, James found his introduction to fly fishing grounded in tying big flies and casting for Muskies.  James' dream became to move to Montana and fish big Western rivers with his black lab Bo as his faithful companion.  After school he had saved enough to drive to Montana and stay with a friend that was guiding on the Yellowstone River.  Livingston was his first stop on the road trip, and after one good float down the Yellowstone throwing hoppers he knew he was home.  James has been guiding on the Yellowstone ever since, and recently became part owner of Hatch Finders fly shop. We discuss adjusting your tactics based on different flows, the Yellowstone River, and James shares some of his techniques and philosophies on fishing streamers.  James also shares why even fishing dogs benefit from time on the water. In this episode we WadeOutThere with Peter Stitcher, from Littleton, Colorado.  Peter fell in love with fishing at age four in Knoxville, Tennessee.  His teacher introduced him to tying flies in 5th grade to help keep him focussed and calm during school.  His education went on from there to degrees in theology, counseling, and finally aquatic biology.  When Peter realized he spent all his free time on the water chasing trout, he finally recognized his future lay in fly fishing.  Peter moved to Colorado, initially to manage private water, but soon discovered he wanted his own way to enjoy the connectedness he found on the river.  He started his own fly shop out of his home, with the support of his wife and family.  After nine and a half years, Peter moved his shop to a traditional space, opening Ascent Fly Fishing Fly Shop, where as an aquatic biologist, Peter finds joy in simplifying entomology for fly anglers.  We discuss the Colorado River, fishing emerges throughout the water column, lifecycles of PMD and Caddis flies, and Peter shares his thoughts on how the river is a place of abundance for trout and people. To learn more about Peter and the topics we discussed in this episode, or to schedule a guided trip, check out the following links:AscentFlyFishing.comREAD: WADEOUTTHERE | Why We Take Our Children Fly FishingLISTEN: WOT PODCAST EP. 144 | Mentorship and Sight Fishing with Landon MayerNewsletter Sign-UpView Jason's ArtworkThanks for listening.VR- Jason
