Documental sobre el caso Próvolo abre un nuevo debate respecto a los abusos cometidos por sacerdotes y al entramado de impunidad que necesariamente se despliega para que casos como estos se repitan durante décadas sin salir a la luz. Los antecedentes de denuncias contra Corradi son un elemento que abona la teoría de que la cúpula de la Iglesia encubre este accionar. Las víctimas del Instituto Próvolo son, además, la expresión más extrema de la vulnerabilidad: niños discapacitados que en muchos casos no tenían familias que pudieran contenerlos ni herramientas para expresar el infierno que estaban viviendo. Un infierno perpetrado por aquellos que dicen ser hombres de Dios y estar allí para protegerlos de todo mal. Caso Próvolo, la Monja Kumiko. Se trata de un enorme hospital ubicado en Philadelphia, que durante su historia vio entrar miles de pacientes con problemas mentales. Y se hizo famoso por los horribles tratos que los pacientes decían sufrir, y de no ser porque un camillero tomó numerosas fotografías de los hechos oscuros, seguramente hubiera durado más años abierto. El asilo de pennhurst: La mayoría de los enfermos pasaban los días en cunas, estaban incapacitados para moverse, relacionarse o incluso hablar o alimentarse por sí mismos. Son dos barreras entre lo que queremos y lo que hacemos. Vamos a entrenarnos hoy en cómo hacer para que las circunstancias no sean las que decidan lo que vayas a realizar, practicando ésta herramienta.

Yo he escuchado frecuentemente lo que le llamo los “peros” más grandes. Entre ellos están: “pero no tengo tiempo, pero no se me ha dado la oportunidad, pero no soy capaz, pero no tengo la experiencia, pero no creo que pueda, pero no podré hacerlo”, entre otros más. Los peros son múltiples excusas, quejas o pretextos que usamos para no querer hacer algo, para no emprenderlo o para obviar lo que es debido. Medita en las veces que en un día cotidiano usas estos peros más grandes como si fueran parte esencial de tu vida. Alguien dijo que si comenzamos a eliminar los peros de nuestro léxico podremos habilitar los cómos para poder llevar a cabo lo que parece ser imposible. Dios es experto en eliminar los peros de nuestras vidas y transformarlos siempre para Su gloria. Por ejemplo, nosotros merecíamos condenación, pero Él nos dio libertad. Nosotros merecíamos muerte, pero Él nos dio vida eterna. Nosotros merecíamos la separación, pero Él nos ha adoptado como Sus hijos. Nosotros no merecíamos tanto amor, pero Él nos ha amado con amor eterno. Es decir, los peros nuestros, son muchas veces las oportunidades para relucir en la gracia y en el amor de Dios. De modo que, elimina tus peros y deja que Dios obre realmente en ti. La Biblia dice en Efesios 2:4-5, “4 Pero Dios, que es rico en misericordia, por su gran amor con que nos amó, 5 aun estando nosotros muertos en pecados, nos dio vida juntamente con Cristo (por gracia sois salvos), ” (NTV)
