Noelani Pantastico is from Oahu, Hawaii. She trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and attended summer courses at Pacific Northwest Ballet School from 1994 to 1996. She joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 1997. She was promoted to corps de ballet in 1998, soloist in 2001, and principal in 2004. In 2008, she left PNB to join Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo as a soloist and was promoted to first soloist in 2009. In 2015, Ms. Pantastico returned to PNB as a principal dancer. In addition to her PNB repertory, Ms. Pantastico danced leading roles at Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo in Jean-Christophe Maillot's Altro Canto, La Belle, Cendrillon, Choré, Faust, Men's Dance for Women, Opus 40, Roméo et Juliette, Scheherazade, Le Songe, and Vers un Pays Sage; Marie Chouinard's Body Remix; Alexander Eckman's Rondo; Nicolo Fonte's Quiet Bang; William Forsythe's New Sleep; Emio Greco and Peter Scholten's Le Corps du Ballet; Natalia Horeçna's Tales Absurd, Fatalistic Visions Predominate; Johan Inger's In Exact; Jiří Kylián's Petite Mort; Pontus Lidberg's Summer's Winter Shadow; Matjash Mrozewski's Pavillon d'Armide; and Jeroen Verbruggen's Kill Bambi. In 2004, she performed the second movement of Balanchine's Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet as a guest artist for New York City Ballet's Balanchine Centennial. Leticia Silva was born Born in Havana, Cuba. She began her studies at the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School in Cuba, graduating as a dancer-teacher, and later completing a degree in Dancing Art Studies at the University of the Arts in 2019. Leticia has been a professional performer working for international companies such as the National Ballet of Cuba and Acosta Danza over the last thirteen years. She has developed her practice in classical ballet, modern, contemporary, and Afro-Cuban techniques. During her career, she performed works by choreographers such as Alicia Alonso, Carlos Acosta, Christopher Bruce, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Pontus Lidberg, Justin Peck, Goyo Montero, Juanjo Arques, August Bournonville, George Balanchine, Jorge Crecis and Miguel Altunaga. Throughout 2021 she is preparing to be one of the ten international artists certified to teach Towards Vivencia methodology. As an artist, she is intrigued by the artist's experience during the performance, the ability to be present and fully live in real time. April 1, 2016. Swedish choreographer Pontus Lidberg discusses his career and his Library of Congress/Martha Graham Dance Company co-commission, "Woodland," with Nicholas Brown. Set "Notturno for strings and harp" by Irving Fine, "Woodland" was commissioned for the 90th anniversary season of "Concerts from the library of Congress." Part of the "Martha Graham at the Library" Festival and presented in association with the Embassy of Sweden and Swedish Arts Council. Meet Pontus Lidberg, Sweden's award-winning young dancer, choreographer and filmmaker. Over the course of this interview, he relates his early desire to create contemporary dance works and the opportunities that followed withStockholm 59°North, The Norwegian National Ballet, Morphoses, The Royal Swedish Ballet, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, and his own company Pontus Lidberg Dance. He describes his dance language, choreographic process and passion for filmmaking as well as his connection to the U.S.A. In closing he comments on the two works his company presented at the National Arts Centre on April 14, 2015: Snow, commissioned in 2013 by Sweden's NorrlandsOperan for its centenary presentation of Stravinsky's score The Rite of Spring, and Written on Water, a trio originally conceived as a pas-de-deux for American Ballet Theater principal ballerina Isabella Boylston that will soon form part of a new film.
Gabrielle Lamb is a native of Savannah, Georgia and was trained at the Boston Ballet School. She joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal in 2000 and was promoted to soloist in 2003. In 2009 moved to New York City and began working with choreographer Pontus Lidberg, as well as Morphoses, then under the direction of Christopher Wheeldon. Her repertoire as a performer also includes principal roles in works by George Balanchine, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Luca Veggetti and Shen Wei. She won the 2009 National Choreographic Competition of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and in 2013 won first prizes in both Milwaukee Ballet's International Choreographic Competition and Western Michigan University's National Choreographic Competition. During the 2013-2014 season her work will be performed by BalletX, Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet Memphis, and Ballet Austin. Ms. Lamb is also a self-taught video artist and animator, and her dance films have been presented by Dance on Camera at Lincoln Center, the American Dance Festival, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, and Dance Theatre of Harlem, among others.
