Our troupe is visited by Kallyr Starbrow who brings to bear her story and why she needs help finding a powerful mythical creature to help fight the Crimson Bat that threatens all of Sartar.
Ready to engage with two massive mountain cats, our Haraborn seek to save the Wyter's wounded doe from becoming a tasty meal.
Our Haraborn are tasked with finding the Wyter's doe after words reach Lysanna that there may be trouble in the depths of a snowy Dark Season.
Marked by the Dragonewt rune, Vargast visits with the local Issaries merchant at the behest of his father. Lysanna offers her counsel and companionship as they head into the mountains to bring the Rainbow Wyrm out.
The Haraborn had come north to hunt down the elusive Deer Folk, and warn them of Lunar scout teams searching for them. Now inside a strange temple, choices or fate changes their path forever.
As the group continues their ascent to find the Deer Folk, they come upon a strange ruin they've never heard of before. What mysteries might lay inside?
Lunars arrive in the Vale with a stern warning for the Haraborn, and when Vargast replies with one of his own, the stage could be set for a skirmish.
As Earth Season arrives, Elara and Fin feel the draw of exploration. Leaving Hill Base, they explore a curiosity brought on by a strange feline outsider.
In a dark cave, Lysanna and Elara work to save a child, while fending off a powerful ogress. Vargast and Fin hear the call to action and hope to make it in time!
The Feast Sartar is upon our Haraborn - if only they had the time to enjoy it! Fin gets a great idea, but Vargast is not impressed. Lysanna works to find another way, while Elara receives a strange message and is compelled to follow.
After receiving a vision, Elara is compelled to prepare a feast for the missing children in hopes of drawing them back together. Vargast must secure the meat, Fin the spices, while Lysanna prepares the space.
Concern has begun to grow in several steads that there is something more to the disappearances going on, as our heroes dive in to determine what it might be.
Fire Season has arrived in the vale, as our Haraborn prepare for the Feast of Sartar under the cloud of Lunar rule. With Lysanna and Elara in the fields collecting festival supplies, a strange sound is heard near the edge of the woods.
As our tale unfolds, the four Haraborn we've come to see grow must choose a path forward to walk. Goddesses and gods are chosen, with new links formed, and fresh tattoos to mark their journey.
The path to maturity in the Vale is tread differently for each soul who passes through the square shaped door. Elara's steps carry her forward as her heart seeks a path of personal, if fiery, truth.
Having come of age in time of great need for the Haraborn, Vargast and Fin are challenged to remember the ancient tales of their ancestors. In the fight against chaos, each will learn to rely on their strengths if they wish to succeed.
With the marriage ceremony upon them, our young Haraborn experience the celebration and elation of an important moment for their clan.
High in the mountains of Sartar, in the vale between Mounts Quivin and Kagradus, we meet four members of the Haraborn Clan on the verge of adulthood. On the eve of this lifechanging event they are tasked with assisting in the preparations for a marriage ceremony. Six Seasons in Sartar was written by Andrew Logan Montgomery. It is presented here by The Old Ways Podcast in our version of Glorantha.
The clan disperses in the wake of the Battle of Red Rock. Landless and wanted, they take the first steps toward forging a new identity. It is the year 1625. For years, the region known as the Dragon Pass has been rent by rebellion and unrest as the nation of Sartar and peoples of Old Tarsh attempted to drive out the occupying troops and proselytising red priests of the Lunar Empire, which views these lands as being home to barbarians. The conflict has escalated and spread, involving the Lunar client state of Tarsh, the neighbouring matriarchal nation of Esrolia, the nomadic tribes of Prax, and others. It has come to a head with a heroquest which saw the successful summoning of a True Dragon under the Temple of the Reach Moon just as it was about to be consecrated. This event, known as the Dragonrise, disrupted Lunar efforts in Dragon Pass and triggered an uprising across the region and the beginning of the long foretold Hero Wars. It is this conflict that the player characters will set out to join as Heroes. The roleplaying game is RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha, published by Chaosium, Inc. (a full review can be found here). Having completed The Broken Tower, the quick-start for game, originally released for Free RPG Day 2017 (full review here) the characters are tasked with handling the negotiations with the Greydog tribe following the failed cattle raid by Danakos. This will take place in Apple Lane, and as they ride to the trading village, some recall their first visit and their initiation which preceded it. The scenario is Andrew Logan Montgomery’s Rites of Passage and it takes place as a flashback in the next episode… So technically, this is the first part of a flashback in a flashforward. Our Game Master is Pookie, and our players are... Dave – Arim of Tarsh Louise – Mirava of Esrolia Mog – Harmast of Sartar Niamh – Dorasa of Sartar
