It was not the original Simon Peter, impulsive and full of weakness, whom Christ called, “Simon” Mark 14:37; Luke 22:31; John 21:15-17 who is credited with writing this epistle. It was that Peter who Christ gave the keys to the kingdom, Matthew 16:13-19. The same man chastened by years of suffering and trials and strengthened by the baptism of the Holy Spirit; whom this epistle belongs to, written in the later period of his life.
As Timothy was being launched into a ministry and responsibility that he had never really faced before, the Apostle Paul who had been mentoring and training him, was edifying, encouraging and reminding him of the great gift of God’s grace that had empowered Paul and would, no doubt, empower Timothy and all who would come after him. This moment can apply to any believer that God is calling to accomplish something great for the kingdom. We, like Timothy, need a bit of edification and encouragement from time to time that everything we need to perform the Father’s will is placed in us through the New Birth experience.
Pastor, are you looking for an Evangelist with the touch of God on he and his family, who will conduct themselves right, singing and preaching in the Holy Ghost, with the whole family being a breath of fresh air and the brother's preaching being a shot in the arm? If so, I wholeheartedly recommend Evangelist Jimmy Moize, Jr. to you! I've said all I've just said about them (and then some), to their faces and I meant every word of it, to them and to you. You say Preacher, can I hear him preach and them sing? Yes you can, in this video and others, found on their Youtube page, the link to which, I'll post below. Brother Moize and his family, are members of Old Paths Bible Baptist Church, Lyles, TN, Pastor Eric Vick. Brother Moize's phone number is (615) 308-6398 and his email address is preachermoize@gmail.com. Pastor, please watch the video(s) posted and pray about having them in for a service (even in your absence) or a meeting (Revival Meeting, Camp Meeting, Bible Conference, Jubilee, Missions, etc) and do what the LORD would have you do. You'll be glad ya did, I'm sure! 2 Timothy is the last of the Biblical letters from Paul. As Paul sent his final encouragement to Timothy, he reminded him to remain strong in the Holy Spirit, and that Timothy stood in the long line of people who follow God.
When we rely on God's power to persist he replaces our fear with power, love and self-control.
In the midst of trials and pressure I will yield to God’s process of producing staying power for the mission he has entrusted to me.

This week we're starting a new sermon series, "Equipped," directly out of 2 Timothy. Do you or your family enjoy camping? It can feel great to get away from everything that usually holds your focus, to enjoy the beauty of nature, and to enjoy it with people you care about. What's not so great is going camping and realizing you forgot something you needed: a sleeping bag, a flashlight, a lighter, clothing. Those are all important. God hasn't left us under prepared for this journey we are on with Him. He has equipped us with all of the tools we'll need. This week we'll look into 2 Timothy 1 and discover more about the tool of courage.
These studies are from our current series, both Wednesday evening and Sunday mornings.
As we honored Flora Farrell for her many years of faithful service, Pastor Brian gave us five observations from the legacy of Timothy's grandmother, Lois.
As we begin a new sermon series, Pastor Dan preaches a message on the reason we have for being confident in the world today. As Christians, we feel opposition from the world and its influences. How can we be confident? Why should we be confident? Engage with us in the book of 2 Timothy to find out.
The Essence of Spiritual Leadership
Pastor Jonathan teaches from 2 Timothy 1:1-7 about the 3-punch combo of power, love, and a sound mind to defeat fear, panic, and anxiety.
We will see in these verses this morning that while it is great to have been blessed with a spiritual heritage in our families, there is the need for each of us to fan into flames what God has done in our lives and to personally take a bold stand for Christ.

Regardless of social status, pedigree, "blue blood", every single person on this planet came from dirt. Now, this is the same God who made heaven from pearls, crystal, and gold. Why would he make his most prized possession out of dirt?

What has God gifted you to do? Are you using it for the kingdom, or are you giving your best to the world and shortchanging God's people of your God-given gifts?
Every Christian lives in either fear or faith. God wants us to live in faith each and every day.
