Feyre is a 19-year-old human who is thrust into the faery world when she kills a wolf that was actually a fae sentry sent out into the mortal world by the High Lord of the Spring Court of Prythian. Said High Lord, Tamlin, retrieves her, citing a provision of the treaty between mortals and faeries that apparently says that he can claim her life in exchange for the life she took. Feyre has to live in Prythian for the rest of her life to fulfill this life debt. Of course, feelings get involved, but something is wrong in faerie lands, something ancient, and that something could seep into the mortal world, destroying everything and everyone Feyre loves. Apparently this one mortal girl is the only one who can stop it.What were our first impressions of Feyre's family? How do Feyre's perceptions of Tamlin change throughout that book? The morning of the Summer Solstice, Feyre attends Ianthe's ceremony dressed like a queen and usurps the priestess's plans to adorn herself with light. Their venture to the wall brings Dagdan and Brannagh in contact with Children of the Blessed, and despite Feyre's warnings to not touch the humans, the outing ends with their deaths. This episode of Book Talk for BookTok cover chapters 4 through 7 of Sarah J. Hi friends, we are finally back from our winter hiatus! To kick off our 2023 podcasting we will be wrapping up A Court of Thorns and Roses. Today we'll be zipping through the last section of the book, we are deep in the go, go, go section of the novel, and have tons of plot points to discuss with you all! We want to remind our listeners that this series coverage is riddled with spoilers so listen at your own risk if you have not read the 1st book of the ACOTAR series. During this end section we get to see Feyre come back to the ruined Spring Court and decide to make her quest Under the Mountain to get Tamlin back. By doing this she meets Amarantha and has to endure three trials or solve a poem to get Tamlin his powers back. We get to see a lot of interesting interactions between Rhysand and Feyre in this section, and at the very end of the novel, Feyre gets a major transformation. In lieu of Zillenial Quiz Taking Time, we decided to do a live reading/solving of riddles to be on theme with this section of the book. Thanks for joining us for the end of A Court of Thorns & Roses! We're very excited to bring you A Court of Mist & Fury in the coming weeks. Stay hot and stay hydrated friends, we'll see you next time! This podcast is edited and produced by Guin & Alyssa. Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie learn more about Cassian's history with the original Valkyries before deciding to form their own new Valkyrie unit. Dinner at the River House with the Inner Circle (minus Mor and plus Elaine) includes a telling tale from Nesta's teenage years involving her enchanting dancing skills and love of music. Feyre leaves Tamlin and the Spring Court to seek refuge with Rhysand, the man who tattooed his eye on her hand to watch her at times. Not only can he see through the hand, but he can also hear things and feel her emotions? Didn't know that's what eyes can do but okay. Also, Jess talks about how she would regress while living at home with her parents, and Sinead talks about post-orgasm fist bumping
In the aftermath of the attack on Velaris, the Inner Circle travels to Hybern to execute their plan to nullify the Cauldron. But things do not go as planned, bringing to fruition the greatest of Feyre and Rhys's nightmares. With Rhys's friends near death while he is powerless, and Feyre's sisters now made immortal like her, Feyre takes on the burden of sacrifice once again. The two play one last game of charades to fool the King of Hybern and Tamlin to aid their friends' escape and allow Feyre to infiltrate the Spring Court, not as Tamlin's lover as she would have them believe, but as High Lady of the Night Court. This episode of Book Talk for BookTok cover chapters 61 through 69 of Sarah J. Yr grls return to discuss everybody's favorite pandemic baby - A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES BY SARAH J. MAAS! Because things actually get pretty groovy once she's kidnapped by Tamlin the Beast/Fae King of the Spring Court (whatever that means!). But then they do actually get worse when she chases her new love under the mountain and has to face a buncha magical trials. How can a text subvert the dread Mary-Sue? The House is the true MVP by supplying Nesta with an endless supply of smutty books, hot bathes and chocolate cake. Dorian, Dickie, and Maeve continue to explore Dorian's home, while Valok makes a deal with the Spring Court...
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Mass. Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people. Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two. With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

The Follycast Episode 4: Broken Homes In this month’s episode… …we discuss ‘Whispers Underground’, the fourth novel in the Rivers Of London series by Ben Aaronovitch. In Broken Homes, Peter finds a whole new set of senior officers to annoy as bodies pile up across the home counties and South London. All roads lead to Skygarden tower, a fictional, but strangely familiar, tower block in Elephant & Castle. Peter and Lesley move in together, but not in the way many of us would have been hoping for back when we were reading book one. We experience a trippy Spring Court on the South Bank, Nightingale manages to lay waste to a farmhouse and the book ends with a huge revelation, much to the relief of hosts Margaret and Richard who have been carefully policing potential spoilers in the first three podcasts. As BBC continuity announcers are fond of saying, “Things will never be the same after this episode of the Follycast.” Credits Hosted by Margaret Holborn and Richard Marks, with Jan Trott and Jennie Beck Produced by Richard Marks for UncertainSmile productions Theme tune: ‘London Is Inspired’ by Cutwater: www.cutwaterband.co.uk.
