Prepare to be intrigued by the discussion of candy-filled spiders from Gorman, complete with notes inside the wrapper, and wonder aloud what kind of candy Syril actually eats from them! The hosts unpack the episode's overwhelmingly depressing tone, from Bix's harrowing trauma (including her sleepwalking and picking up a weapon), to Cassian's heavy emotional baggage and fierce determination to protect Bix after failing to save others. Plus, they explore Syril's hilarious yet tragic delusions of grandeur, his detailed "spycraft" like booby-trapping his apartment with a trip wire, and how he's masterfully played as a pawn by Dedra and the insurgents. Discover obscure Star Wars world-building details, such as the cleaning agent 'Dirjo' and the Imperial's Public Order Re-sentencing Directive (PORD), and get the full scoop on those unexpected romantic hand maneuvers between Bix and Cassian. Don't miss this insightful and often hilarious breakdown!

FLOYD WEST22 does it again with this genre-blurring, beat-bending journey with this high-voltage 18th episode of Lip Biters Sounds — a sonic rollercoaster that smashes boundaries between house, techno, nu-disco, and electro-pop. From the timeless shimmer of Stardust's “Music Sounds Better With You” (revived with a futuristic twist by Heliograph & CVLAM) to the fierce Latin tech-house fire of FLOYD WEST22's “FUEGO! (TAKA TAKA),” this set ignites from the start. Chris Lake & Bonobo's “Falling” offers moody elegance, while tracks like “Double Dutch” from Kyle Watson & Walker & Royce bring quirky bass house into the spotlight. You'll get shaken by the wild funk of “Move Your Feet” (James Hype remix), punched by peak-time techno energy from Adam Beyer & Julian Jeweil, and blessed with Calvin Harris & Cassian's soaring remix of “Blessings.” With explosive flips like TOYZZ's take on “SexyBack,” mashups like Chris Lake vs Shakedown's “Psycho x At Night,” and underground anthems from all corners of the scene, this mix refuses to sit still. Pure chaos. Pure groove. Pure genre collision. Plug in, press play, and prepare to move your feet — and your expectations. ⚡️Like the Show? Click the [Repost] ↻ button so more people can hear it!

Send us a textThe rebellion's darkest hour becomes Star Wars' finest achievement in Andor Season 2's concluding episodes. We dive deep into how Tony Gilroy crafted a masterclass in tension, political intrigue, and character development that forever changes our understanding of the Star Wars universe. The Gorman massacre stands as perhaps the most haunting sequence ever created in Star Wars - a perfectly constructed trap that shows the Empire's ruthless calculus and leaves us questioning how we'd respond in similar circumstances. This leads to fascinating discussions about Syril Karn's moral journey: is his horror at witnessing genocide enough to redeem his previous actions, or does his confrontation with Dedra only further complicate his character?Mon Mothma emerges as the unexpected MVP of these episodes, delivering a Senate speech that rivals anything in the franchise for political tension. The procedural details - senators yielding their time, parliamentary maneuvers - create an authenticity rarely seen in science fiction. This groundwork makes her eventual leadership of the Rebellion all the more earned and meaningful. The Force makes its first significant appearance through the mysterious healer who identifies Cassian as a "messenger" - a subtle but powerful reminder that even in this grounded take on Star Wars, cosmic forces still guide the galaxy's fate. Meanwhile, Luthen's capture and Kleya's difficult decision to ensure he doesn't fall into Imperial hands delivers emotional devastation without feeling manipulative.Perhaps most satisfying is how perfectly these episodes connect to Rogue One, answering questions we didn't even know we had. From Cassian's pre-existing knowledge of Galen Erso to his partnership with the newly-reprogrammed K-2SO, every element enriches our understanding of his journey toward Scarif. The show demonstrates how prequels should function - not just filling gaps, but transforming our perspective on what comes after. Why does this series resonate so deeply? Because it never forgets that resistance requires sacrifice, that freedom fighters aren't always heroic, and that hope often comes at terrible cost. Andor depicts the messy, complicated birth of a rebellion with unflinching honesty - proving that Star Wars can deliver sophisticated adult storytelling without sacrificing what made us fall in love with this galaxy far, far away.Twitter handles:Project Geekology: https://twitter.com/pgeekologyAnthony's Twitter: https://twitter.com/odysseyswowDakota's Twitter: https://twitter.com/geekritique_dakInstagram:https://instagram.com/projectgeekology?igshid=1v0sits7ipq9yYouTube:https://www.youtube.com/@projectgeekologyGeekritique (Dakota):https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBwciIqOoHwIx_uXtYTSEbASupport the show

Get ready for a "heavy" and anxiety-inducing ride on the Purrgil Pod as Hunter and Jessica dive into an episode where everyone is "running out of time".•First up, Cassian's bizarrely hotwiring a TIE fighter on the "Farm Planet" (Mina Rau)—not to fly, but for communications. Predictably, things go sideways fast with an Imperial crackdown and tragic ends.•Meanwhile, on Chandrila, Mon Mothma's daughter Leida's wedding is a masterclass in "bizarre traditions", complete with braid-cutting. But the real drama is the "money laundering and betrayal" crescendo orchestrated by Luthen, leaving Mon Mothma to visibly "unravel" at her own reception.•Finally, Coruscant brings the "tense and awkward dinner" from hell, as Dedra and Syril host the "world's best mother-in-law," Eedy, who is outrageously judgmental. Dedra, in an "Oh. Oh, mic drop" moment, boldly puts Eedy in her place. All this and more in this episode of the Purrgil Pod.Find us on Facebook, Mastodon, and the web at www.purrgilpod.com

Free cross-over episode with the Bang-Bang Podcast. In this finale to our Andor series, Van and Lyle are joined by returning guest Paul Adlerstein and—making his first appearance on the pod—Matt Duss, former foreign policy advisor to Senator Bernie Sanders and current executive vice president at the Center for International Policy. The conversation spans the closing arc of Andor Season 2 and Rogue One, treating them as one long meditation on revolutionary grief, sacrifice, and strategy. We reflect on Kleya Marki's backstory, Deedra Meero's karmic consignment to the labor camps, and the quiet closure of Bix Caleen's journey from warrior to survivor, cradling new life in a liberated field. We also discuss Cassian's confrontation with the rebel leadership and his scathing defense of Luthen Rael. Namely, his accusation that those who sit in safety have committed only a fraction of the sacrifice they demand of others. As well as Bail Organa's (wink wink, nod nod) “May the Force be with you, captain,” sealing the fate of Cassian's transition from hunted thief to selfless insurgent. In our Rogue One discussion, we note the apocalyptic awe of Krennic's “Oh, it's beautiful” as he watches Jedha obliterated, a moment that recalls the real-world language of U.S. reporters and officials after Hiroshima.Check out the Bang-Bang Podcast and subscribe: https://www.bangbangpod.com/

The finale of Andor streamed more than a month before this podcast. Why? Well, it's not because this episode was too confusing or too long. "Jedha, Kyber, Erso" is a fitting season and series finale and doesn't botch the landing. It starts off with the action that was promised at the end of episode 11 and finishes with a surprise in a field of gold.Kleya is not welcomed with open arms on Yavin, but she should be. Her name hasn't been thrown about as a hero of the rebellion, maybe only because she seemed to outlive many of the ones who knew her true contributions. A model spy, was she. Cassian and Melshi (and K-2SO, of course) saved her in the nick of time, not just for her safety, but the freedom of the galaxy. It's nice to see so many Imperials frustrated instead of reframing them as misunderstood. They're the villains. We understand they're evil. Not every story thread gets answered. Not every character gets a happy ending. The show has done more for Star Wars than I think Lucasfilm and Disney would care to admit, since it didn't fall prey to any of the agenda as Tony Gilroy steered his own series almost completely without critique. I don't consider this a model to follow, unless you have a mind like Gilroy who can assemble the right team. The show is over and so is the coverage, but you can always send in a comment to the email address we reveal in our podcasts. A good subject line will help set you apart from spam. There are other ways to interact with This is the Way Podcast, like via Instagram or 'X' (@This is the Way Podcast) or on Facebook, YouTube, or Spotify, but we also have a Discord channel. May Disney and Lucasfilm see the light and figure out a way to bring us more stories with Kleya, Vel, Wil, and the growing gang of rebels, and of course, May the Force be with us!

Andor Season 2 cements its legacy as the most critically acclaimed Star Wars series to date, delivering a gripping and emotionally charged conclusion to Cassian Andor's journey. In this episode, Giant Mess podcast host Neal Lynch breaks down why the show's mature storytelling, exceptional performances, and sharp writing set a new standard for the franchise.Neal dives into how Season 2 ambitiously spans four years across twelve episodes, seamlessly bridging the gap between Season 1 and Rogue One. He also explores the show's improved pacing, deep character arcs—especially for Cassian, Mon Mothma, Bix, and Dedra—and the way it tackles themes of love, loss, sacrifice, and resistance with genuine gravitas.TV Show Reactions from Giant Mess Podcast - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNNWtgwQsK8-iLVzE7p4cPf_K1KziiiSY Highlights include:The season's tight, purposeful structure and standout episodesHow the series avoids nostalgia traps, focusing instead on the real cost of rebellionThe seamless, essential connection to Rogue One and what it means for the larger sagaWhy critics and fans alike call this the best Star Wars since The Empire Strikes BackThis is an in-depth, spoiler-filled discussion of the show's triumphs, minor missteps, and lasting impact. We're back (finally) with a full-on deep dive into Andor Season 2 and trust us, it was worth the wait. Randy and Matt go episode by episode through one of the most intense, gritty, and straight-up brilliant shows in the Star Wars universe. We break down Cassian's arc, the brilliance of Tony Gilroy's storytelling, the emotional weight of the Gorman protest, Mon Mothma's rise, and why Luthen might be the Belichick of the rebellion. If Andor wasn't already in your all-time list, this conversation might get it there.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to talk to the incredible costume designer behind both seasons of ANDOR, Michael Wilkinson (BATMAN V SUPERMAN, WATCHMEN, JUSTICE LEAGUE, GARDEN STATE, TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN). Caitlin talked with him one-on-one about: The close relationship between costume creation and production design Designing for characters like Mon Mothma and Cassian who have pre-established looks in other Star Wars films The evolution of Kleya's character as seen through her clothing … and so much more! We also talked our favorite costumes from ANDOR, and why costumes are such a core piece of storytelling. Thank you to Lucasfilm for the opportunity! Cassian Bellino has always had a desire to understand God on an intellectual level. In 2023, she was led to start a podcast to provide context to the Bible called Biblically Speaking, which has hosted esteemed guests such as Dr. Hugh Ross, Dr. John Walton, Pastor Douglas Wilson, and Ken Ham. Her podcast creates conversations that bridge faith, reason, and a deeper understanding of the Bible. Through these mentally stimulating conversations, Cassian's personal relationship to Christ has deepened beyond human rationalization. In addition to the podcast, Cassian has cultivated a growing community called Biblically Heard, designed to grant access to her network of Bible scholars to curious Christians who want to grow in faith without going to seminary, by joining authentic discussions, learning opportunities, and mentorship. Through her platforms, she has made the Bible accessible, relatable, and transformative for people worldwide.Learn more about Cassian's work here.SUPPORT His Heartbeat through Crown of Beauty Internationalhttps://www.crownofbeautyinternational.com/donateCONNECT with His Heartbeat and Crown of Beauty InternationalWebsite// Facebook//InstagramEmail: crownofbeautyinternational@gmail.comConnect with Sue Corl's Instagram//Facebook// WebsitePurchase Sue's Transformational Bible Studies and Devotionals on Amazon!Sue Corl's best-selling books: Crown of Beauty Bible Study, Broken But UndefeatedCrown of Beauty International: EMPOWERING WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD WITH GOD'S TRUTH!
