Protecting oneself from the influence of magic is an important concept in Islam, and Allah has provided guidance on how to do so. However, it is important to understand that Satan also plays a role in this equation, and can use his own methods to distract and misguide people, making them forget about the recommended protections against magic. In the Quran, Allah warns against the dangers of magic and encourages believers to seek protection from its harm. Allah has revealed the Quran as a source of guidance and healing, and reciting certain verses from it can serve as a powerful means of protection. For example, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas are often recited for protection against magic and the influence of evil spirits. However, Satan is also free to use his own methods to keep people away from this protection. He may try to make people forget about the Quran and its benefits, or he may distract them with other worldly matters so that they do not prioritize their spiritual well-being. This is why it is important for believers to stay mindful of Allah and to continuously remember His name, as this can serve as a powerful means of protection against the whispers of Satan. Furthermore, Satan may also encourage those who have envy or malice in their hearts to employ advanced tools like magic to cause harm to others. This is a dangerous combination, as it allows Satan to use both forgetfulness and harmful tools to misguide people and cause destruction. Therefore, it is important for believers to be aware of these dangers and to seek protection from Allah. Ultimately, even if a person forgets to seek protection from magic or falls victim to its harm, they can still find comfort in the overall protection of Allah. Believers should trust in Allah's plan and know that He is always with them, even in times of difficulty. Additionally, Allah has the power to confuse the enemies of believers and defuse their attacks, making it clear that ultimate protection comes from Him alone. In conclusion, protecting oneself from the influence of magic is an important concept in Islam, and Allah has provided guidance on how to do so. However, it is important to be aware of Satan's role in this equation and to stay mindful of Allah at all times. By continuously remembering Allah's name and seeking protection through the Quran, believers can guard themselves against the dangers of magic and the whispers of Satan.

Lesson 12 of The Important Lessons For The Muslim Ummah: Surah 112 to 114 - Surah Al-Ikhlas to Surah An-Nas - Explanation by Dr.Saleh As-Saleh (May Allāh have mercy upon him) About The Scholar: Dr. Saleh As-Saleh رحمه الله was from the foremost students of Shaykh Ibn-Uthaymeen رحمه الله. He took knowledge from the Shaykh from a long distance for a while, then on a continuous basis from 1412-1415 AH and then regularly from 1415 AH where he became a dedicated student and studied with him until his death in 1421 AH. Dr Saleh lived around 500 yards from Shaykh's Ibn-Uthaymeen house and has been blessed by Allāh to have obtained a PhD in Medical Biochemistry and was a professor at Qaasim University, KSA. Furthermore, he was a well-known author of many great writings and books. He resided in ‘Unayzah, KSA, and was active in his call to the Salafi da'wah. Keutamaan surah Al-Ikhlas adalah sama dengan sepertiga Al-Qur'an. Surah Al-Ikhlas disebut sepertiga Al-Qur'an dilihat dari sisi makna atau kandungannya karena Al-Qur'an itu terdiri dari hukum, berita (cerita), dan tauhid. Surah Al-Ikhlas ini berisi bahasan tauhid. Keutamaan mencintai surah Al-Ikhlas. Kecintaan seperti ini akan memudahkan seseorang masuk surga. Surah Al-Falaq dan surah An-Naas adalah dua surah yang terbaik yang diturunkan pada Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Surah Al-Falaq dan An-Naas disebut mu'awwidzataan (dua surah berisi permintaan perlindungan). Surah Al-Falaq dan An-Naas bisa dijadikan bacaan ruqyah.

Surah Al-Falaq (bahasa Arab: سورة الفلق‎) adalah surah ke-113 dalam Al-Qur'an. Nama Al-Falaq diambil dari kata Al-Falaq yang terdapat pada ayat pertama surah ini yang artinya waktu subuh dan terdiri dari 5 ayat. Surat ini tergolong surah Makkiyah. Inti dari Surah ini adalah perintah agar umat manusia senantiasa memohon perlindungan kepada Allah SWT menghadapi segala keburukan yang tersembunyi. Aisyah menerangkan: bahwa Rasulullah s.a.w. pada setiap malam apabila hendak tidur, Dia membaca Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq dan Surah An-Nas, ditiupkan pada kedua telapak tangan kemudian disapukan ke seluruh tubuh dan kepala. 'Uqbah bin' Amir menerangkan, ketika saya sesat jalan dalam suatu perjalanan bersama dengan Rasulullah s.a.w., Dia membaca Surah Al-Falaq dan Surah An-Nas dan akupun disuruh Dia juga untuk membacanya Hubungan Surat Al Falaq dengan Surat An Naas Kedua-duanya sama-sama mengajarkan kepada manusia, hanya kepada Allah-lah menyerahkan perlindungan diri dari segala kejahatan. Surah An-Nas (bahasa Arab: سورة الناس‎) adalah surah penutup (ke-114) dalam Al-Qur'an. Nama An-Nas diambil dari kata An-Nas yang berulang kali disebut dalam surah ini yang berarti manusia. Surah ini termasuk dalam golongan surah makkiyah terdiri dari 6 ayat. Isi surah adalah anjuran supaya manusia memohon perlindungan kepada Allah terhadap pengaruh hasutan jahat setan yang menyelinap di dalam diri. Ayat pertama hingga ketiga mengisyaratkan bahwa memuja dan mengagungkan Allah (sebagai tanda pengakuan sebagai hamba dan rasa hormat) adalah hal yang diperlukan sebelum memohon kepada Dia supaya dikasihani dan diberkati-Nya. Pada ayat keempat hingga terakhir memberi pelajaran bahwa segala dorongan jahat dalam diri manusia bukan berasal keinginan nafsu semata, melainkan nafsu yang dibisiki oleh Penghasut/setan, sebab pada dasarnya nafsu diciptakan bukan untuk melawan Kehendak Tuhan, sebagaimana hewan atau makhluk-makhluk kecil yang memiliki nafsu namun tidak melawan perintah Allah. Pemilik asli kejahatan dan perlawanan terhadap Allah adalah Iblis yang diwariskan kepada setan dan jin; yang merasuki manusia secara tak sadar apabila nafsu tidak dapat dikendalikan sehingga 'menular' di antara kedua golongan ini. Hasutan setan adalah penyebab utama manusia berpikir jahat, memiliki dendam, benci dan berlaku kejam terhadap manusia lain apabila nafsu telah terbujuk dan tergoda yang pada akhirnya menyebabkan kerugian pada diri sendiri dan orang yang disakiti hingga seluruh umat manusia (Nas). Oleh sebab itu teramat penting, untuk mengingat Surah ini apabila dada merasa sesak akibat keadaan sekitar atau masalah yang sedang dihadapi, sebab Tuhan akan selalu bersedia menjadi Pelindung dan Pemelihara kehidupan manusia, sebab Dia dijuluki Penguasa, Yang Kuasa atas segala kekuasaan untuk menciptakan Alam Semesta dan Memusnahkannya dalam sekejap mata demikian pula memberi ujian dan memberi pertolongan untuk siapa yang berkenan bagiNya.
