Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) Session 16 A Guardian for the unlettered... (Ahmad). The Messenger ﷺ is described in the Torah... You are My servant & My Messenger ﷺ and I SWT have named you Mutawakkil (one who relies upon Me alone). You are neither ill-tempered, hard hearted nor one who shouts in the marketplace. You do not resist evil with evil, but rather forgives and overlooks. Allah SWT shall never take him ﷺ from the world until he makes straight the crooked people by saying "Laailaha illallah.' By him ﷺ shall Allah SWT open blind eyes, deaf ears and veiled hearts (Ahmad). The Messenger ﷺ whilst receiving divine revelation would react as follows... Breathing would become difficult Face would become pale Feeling of weariness Feeling faint till the point of death Cold beads of sweat would emerge Teeth would clatter Sound of buzzing honeybees Surah's Hood (11), Waqiah (56), Mursalaat (77), Naba (78), At Takwir (81) have made me old (Tirmidhi). Whoever wants that he should see the Last Day as one would see it with one's own eyes should recite Surah Takwir (81), Infitaar (82) & Inshiqaaq (84) (Tirmidhi). Therefore stand firm as you ﷺ are commanded and those with you and transgress not from the path (Surah Hood 11:112). The Messenger ﷺ concern for us is truly unparalleled.

Eleanor Evans Medina is a formally trained marriage and family therapist turned spiritual teacher. A nature lover, an avid meditator, and a manifestor. She is a mindset, business, and somatic coach. A writer, a death doula, a sister, a friend, and the CEO of The Makaranda Method. Watch the episode here. Summary In this conversation, Eleanor and Kristin explore themes surrounding death, grief, and the human experience. They discuss the role of psychedelics in understanding mortality, the importance of connecting with ancestry and spirituality, and the healing power of nature. Eleanor shares her journey towards becoming a spiritual teacher and the ethical considerations of writing, especially in the age of AI. The conversation culminates in a reflection on the power of song and storytelling as a means of connection and healing. Takeaways Death is a universal experience, and exploring our curiosity and understanding of death can lead to personal growth and spiritual insights. Psychedelics can provide insights into our understanding of death. Reconnecting with nature is essential for our well-being and can provide valuable teachings and reminders of our interconnectedness. Connecting with our ancestors can enrich our spiritual journey. Licensing as a therapist may have limitations, and there are alternative paths, such as being a spiritual teacher, that allow for a more holistic and global approach to healing. Using AI to write books raises questions about the integrity and authenticity of the content. Writing should come from a place of authenticity and integrity. Personal experience and expertise are essential in writing and teaching on a specific topic. Birthing one's story is an act of self-love and can be a transformative journey. „Spousta lidí zvažuje, jestli to má do budoucna smysl. Exploring the topic of representation in the finance and accounting sectors, particularly within the nonprofit industry, with LaMichelle Hecht, CPA, and CEO of Overhead Solutions Group. LaMichelle shares her insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by Black women in accounting, highlighting the need for increased diversity and inclusion. From addressing systemic barriers to entry to advocating for greater support for Black-owned businesses and professionals, LaMichelle's expertise offers up actionable strategies for any organization to foster inclusivity and drive positive change. LaMichelle, who established her practice in late 2020, began by addressing the stark reality that less than 2% of all CPAs are Black, with an even smaller percentage owning CPA firms. LaMichelle expressed optimism about the future, citing initiatives like the National Association of Black Accountants' (NABA) efforts to introduce accounting to high school students through programs like ACAP. She emphasized the importance of increasing awareness among young people about the viability and potential of accounting careers. The discussion touches on systematic barriers to entry, notably the financial burden of obtaining the necessary qualifications, such as the 150 credit hours required for CPA licensure. LaMichelle highlighted the impact of student loan debt, which disproportionately affects individuals from underprivileged backgrounds, hindering their pursuit of accounting careers. Focusing on the unique role of accounting in the nonprofit sector and addressing the need for greater diversity in leadership roles, LaMichelle outlined strategies for nonprofits to engage with and support Black-owned businesses and professionals. Host Julia Patrick mentions mentorship and community support, and LaMichelle describes the value of networking platforms like social media groups and professional organizations such as Chicago Financial Women and BNI. She shares her experiences volunteering and serving on nonprofit boards, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community and mentoring future generations of professionals. Her dedication to driving positive change in the sector serves as an inspiration for all those striving for greater representation and inclusivity in finance and accounting.Watch on Video!Follow us on the Twitter: @Nonprofit_ShowSend us your ideas for Show Guests or Topics: HelpDesk@AmericanNonprofitAcademy.comVisit us on the web:The Nonprofit Show
