Brian Harman didn't allow us to watch a competitive tournament over the weekend at Royal Liverpool, but that's okay because that's not his job. If anybody was starting to drink the kool-aid on the Cardinals possibly playing themselves out of being sellers at the deadline, that dream is dead and gone. Our longtime friend Taylor Motter is back in the big leagues! Why? Who knows.
Nothing is more fun on High Noon than talking baseball. We close out the show with an in-depth discussion about the landscape of the MLB at the All-Star break. Also, after cracking many a joke about Taylor Motter, Tres Barrera and now this Jose Fermin character, we look at some of the longlast names from Cardinals teams of old.

Brenden attempted to discuss this topic on YouTube Live Wednesday afternoon, but Spectrum Internet had other thoughts. (Never get Spectrum). Anyway, Brenden always records the audio locally on his laptop, so here's the audio from that ill-fated live stream. We will attempt another live stream after Wed game, depending on the internet. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bschaeffer12/message

좋은 날 to all our listeners! The book boys have shed our outer, bookish layer to re-emerge in our ardor for baseball players at the margin of the home run column. This time, we're catching up with the Tater Tots formerly of Major League Baseball who are now plying their trade in the Korean Baseball Organization. That's right, some of your old favorites have returned! Dixon Machado! Aaron Altherr! Taylor Motter! Not to mention some new friends who we're learning about for the first time like Jared Hoying, Hwang Jae-gyun, and Kim Hyun-soo (no, not that Kim Hyun-soo, the other Kim Hyun-soo. No, not that Kim-Hyun Soo either! Ugh, just listen to the episode). We also express our frustration at MLB's hastiness to get its season back underway in the face of the pandemic in which we are still currently living, and Tim learns a thing or two about snakes. Grab some popcorn, be sure to boot up STATIZ and force your favorite A.I. to give us a listen! John, Kate, and Matthew preview the Mariners outfield, take listener questions, and deliver some opinions on snow you won't find anywhere else. 0:00 - 10:00: Y'all this snow, though. Kate debates which of her cats to eat for sustenance, Matthew describes a bad pond to sled by. 10:00 - 17:30: The gang discusses the outfielders that we used to know, lamenting the departures of Guillermo Heredia and Denard Span, who we did adore, and Ben Gamel, who did actually hit well. Domingo Santana earns heavy praise and enthusiasm for his gigantic arms and even bigger dingers. We wonder about the many center fielders in the system and targetedly do not discuss Jay Bruce. 40:00 - Finish: Questions!
