The Philadelphia Union have embarked on their 2025 season, and they have been awesome out of the gate. It has been an unexpected start for the Union who are now ranked 2nd in MLS within the Eastern Conference. Great goaltending and a difference in philosophy with a new head coach are just a couple of the reasons why. We dove into the start of this season with Josh Shuster from PhiladelphiaSoccerNow.com. A great discussion all-around!But first, the guys discussed the start of the Phillies season, concerns, and also what is the least of their concerns. (Approx. 6:55)From there, the guys talked about new NFL rule changes coming to the league in 2025, and how the Eagles will be looking at this upcoming NFL Draft. (Approx. 17:25)Then the guys dove into how the Sixers are tanking nicely at the end of this season, and the chances they'll be able to keep their first-round pick this year. (Approx. 34:00)The Flyers front office fired John Tortorella, and the team has been winning as a result. Is this good for their draft prospects this year? (Approx. 41:50)What they threw down on the Table this week was a fantastic and in-depth discussion with Josh Shuster from Philadelphia Soccer Now about how the Union are making positive strides at the start of the MLS season. What are the differences we are seeing between new head coach Bradley Carnell and his predecessor, Jim Curtin? Players who have been the biggest surprise and disappointment thus far. Tai Baribo and Andre Blake are having some stellar starts to their seasons!  All of this and much more this week on the Table! Hey, soccer fans! The Chicago Fire house cleaning continues under new Director of Sport and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. This time, defense Tobias Salquist is on the outs, being transferred to FC Nordsjaelland of the Danish Superliga. Salquist will likely not be missed - he only appeared in 14 matches due to injuries - and when he played, looked like he could not keep up with the pace and physicality of MLS. In this episode, Nick also discusses the Philadelphia Union hiring new head coach Bradley Carnell. The former St. Louis City manager will likely play a high pressing style on the pitch, and off the pitch will likely agree with everything General Manager Ernst Tanner does. This hiring puts all the pressure on Tanner to get things right, or he'll likely be the next employee shown the door for the Union's failure. Tune in and join the conversation! Hello Colorado Rapids fans. This week on Holding The High Line, there's excitement for 4th of July and a reality check. We banter about Rafael Navarro getting confirmed, Lamine Diack heading back to France, and Keegan Rosenberry surprisingly making the MLS All-Star team. We break down that 3-0 loss to LAFC on Saturday. The approach and ideas were good, but they were too aggressive and naive to start the match. The Black and Gold showed why they are one of the best teams in MLS, especially when they're ahead at home. The Burgundy Boys hung in there in the second half until Kévin Cabral got sent on. There's a discussion to be had about how the Pids were undisciplined for the first time this year. But hey, Mike Edwards was ok off the bench. Then we turn to another double game week. Sporting KC are old and bad. St. Louis CITY know what they are and could have a new coach bump after parting ways with Bradley Carnell. We talk about what John Hackworth could do come Sunday.
