In today's episode of Scaling UP! H2O, host Trace Blackmore sits down with workplace resilience expert and U.S. Marine veteran Tiffany Wentz‑Root to decode how different generations show up in the industrial water treatment industry. From the Silent Generation's post‑war loyalties through Baby Boomers' commitment to long hours, Gen X's distrust of corporate loyalty, Millennials' desire for purpose and feedback, and Gen Z's demand for emotional literacy, the conversation illustrates how each cohort was shaped by historical and technological upheaval. The discussion reframes "hustle culture" and argues that a focus on mental health and values alignment can increase retention and performance. Generations and the events that shaped them Tiffany explains that generations are roughly 20–30 year cohorts defined by shared formative experiences. The Silent Generation (1928‑45) endured the Great Depression and World War II; Baby Boomers (1946‑64) were taught loyalty and stability; Gen X (1965‑80) witnessed mass layoffs and became fiercely independent; Millennials (1981‑96) were helicopter parented and accustomed to participation trophies; and Gen Z (1997‑2012) grew up online, socializing via games and apps and weathering school shootings and a pandemic. These histories explain why Baby Boomers and Gen X equate "hard work" with hours logged, whereas Millennials and Gen Z measure effort by pride, alignment and emotional impact. Gen Z's exposure to constant online crises makes them the "anxious and afraid generation" with record rates of anxiety and depression, highlighting the need for supportive leadership. Hustle culture versus emotional literacy The conversation challenges the idea that toughness equals success. Wentz‑Root stresses that leaders must "stop prizing strength" and recognize that feeling and processing emotions is hard work. She advocates for environments where people can bring their whole selves to work rather than suppressing feelings in order to conform to traditional hustle culture. She notes that Gen Z sees phone calls as "prehistoric" and prefers to communicate via apps like Snapchat or Discord, so older professionals should adapt their communication style—using fewer capital letters, punctuation and more emojis or GIFs—to avoid appearing angry or dismissive. For water treatment companies seeking to recruit young professionals, she urges them to articulate company values and support mental health, because Gen Z will leave if work doesn't align with their skills or passions. Practical strategies for leaders and organizations To bridge the generational divide, Wentz‑Root proposes creating a "social contract": a collaboratively defined set of values, behaviors and communication norms that are revisited regularly. Such agreements encourage teams to discuss how they prefer to give and receive feedback, when to use Slack versus meetings, and what good work looks like across ages. She also recommends structured cross‑mentorship, matching senior employees who are nearing retirement with junior colleagues based on skills rather than age, so institutional knowledge isn't lost. She cautions against judging younger staff as entitled or weak; rather, leaders should ask why behaviors exist and treat differences as strengths. Lastly, she reminds Baby Boomers and Gen Xers that sharing decades of hard‑earned experience with Gen Z isn't charity—it's how you build a legacy and ensure the industry thrives. For water‑treatment professionals, recognizing that "different doesn't mean wrong" can unlock better collaboration, innovation and resilience. By replacing judgment with curiosity, establishing social contracts and mentorship programs, and adapting communication to younger workers, leaders can turn generational tension into an asset. Timestamps 02:32 — Trace Blackmore introduces the episode and sets the context: exploring generational dynamics in the industrial water treatment community 09:20 — Tiffany Wentz‑Root introduces herself as a Marine Corps veteran and therapist who helps corporations improve communication, empathy and resilience. 15:07 — Definition of a "generation" and how cohort boundaries from Silent Generation to Gen Alpha are defined 18:06 — Examination of how Baby Boomers were taught loyalty and work stability, Gen X learned independence after witnessing mass layoffs, and Millennials received participation trophies and craved feedback 00:24:33 — Wentz‑Root calls for leaders to stop equating strength with suppressing emotion; feeling and processing emotions is difficult work 25:02 — Gen Z is described as the anxious and afraid generation with record levels of anxiety, depression and suicide, shaped by school shootings and constant online news 27:03 — Contrasting COVID experiences: Trace led a team through uncertainty, while Tiffany's son saw the lockdown as "awesome" because he stayed home playing games. 28:41 — Discussion of how Gen Z socializes through apps like Snapchat, Discord and Steam; texting is archaic and phone calls are "prehistoric" 32:09 — Panel reflections: Baby Boomers and Gen X define hard work by hours worked, Millennials by pride in results, and Gen Z by alignment with skills and passions 33:37 — Tiffany emphasizes that "different doesn't mean wrong," urging listeners to see younger workers' needs as strengths 40:26 — Introduction of social contracts: teams co‑create values, behaviors and communication norms to bridge generational expectations 42:42 — The role of cross‑generational mentorship; match people by skill and career stage, not age, and leverage Gen Z's expertise with tech and communication platforms 01:13:26 — Trace's closing reflections: in male‑dominated, hustle‑driven industries, ignoring emotions isn't sustainable; sharing knowledge now ensures a legacy and a thriving future Quotes "We need to stop prizing strength first and foremost. We need to understand that emotions are very difficult to face. To feel your feelings, to name them, to process them—that's hard" "When I asked, 'What's your definition of hard work?' the baby boomer said, 'I put in a lot of hours.' Gen X said, 'I put in a lot of hours.' Millennials said, 'I get the job done and I'm proud of it.' Gen Z said, 'It's when the work that I've done aligns with my skills and my passions, and I feel good about what I did'" "Judgment kills curiosity … When I see someone of a different generation with a different way of communicating, I automatically go, 'That's bad, that's weird.' Instead, I want you to step into curiosity and say, 'Why would they do that? What happened in their life that shaped them to be this person?'" Geek Pride Day kicks off an episode packed with the kind of tips you’ll actually use. You’ll learn why Shift+Tab is your fastest escape from a runaway numbered list, how holding the lower-left CarPlay button summons Siri, and why copy/paste (and drag-and-drop) between apps still beats exporting and re-importing every time. You’ll also get the real story on Comcast’s email migration (spoiler: it’s not mandatory), discover why the Screenshot app blows past Command-Shift-5 (and -4), and figure out how to shut down the fake browser notifications hijacking your Mac. Then it’s into the meaty stuff: whether those no-name fast chargers are quietly cooking your devices, and the brands the guys actually trust to plug in without worry. Public charging stations look innocent until they aren’t, so the crew breaks down power-only cables, data blockers, and the chillingly clever O.MG Cable from Hak5: Don’t Get Caught handing a stranger the keys to your iPhone over a free USB port. You’ll get strategies for sharing organized photo libraries with the non-Mac humans in your life, dock recommendations for driving external monitors from your laptop, and a stacked Cool Stuff Found run featuring Gifski for gorgeous animated GIFs, WhatCable.uk for decoding that mystery USB-C cable in your drawer, Talk For Me v3 piping text-to-speech into FaceTime calls, and free GigSky eSIM data for Visa Signature cardholders heading abroad. It's gonna be May! Okay, okay, we shall cease and desist with the boy band GIFs and on to the show! All over Europe and other areas we celebrate May Day, Beltane, Walpurgis night, whatever you call it it's all about fire, coming together, and making babies! Or new life, shall we say, new beginnings. First spring has sprung. So we dive into some celebrations and traditions from Bavaria, Germany, Scandinavia, which mostly call it Walpurgis night or some variation, and celebrate a Saint, a She-saint in fact! Then we get into Beltane, the Celtic pagan holy day, and have some fun, fire and feasts with Goddesses and Green Men. Put on your flower crowns and grab a maypole for this festive, fertile, fire-filled episode! No Fire Fest Fiasco here my friends, just good times and good intentions! Happy May-ing!Sorry for the late posting, we are doing our best and putting up a new Patreon ep as well so watch out for that! Happy Listening!

One of our favorite series is back. You sent us your wildest, messiest, most "wait… am I the problem here?" relationship stories. And we have opinions. We're talking about a wife who's been sharing intimate details about her husband with her entire family for years (but only good things, so it's fine… right?). A partner who was a little too honest about his wife's body (brutal). Neighbors banging on the ceiling mid-sex. And a whole lot more. Some of these had us genuinely torn. Others? Not so much.
Only 36% of our audience says they've tried mutual masturbation. Which means most of you are missing out on one of the most erotic, intimate, and surprisingly easy things you can do with your partner. It sounds intimidating. Maybe even a little awkward. But here's the thing: it doesn't have to be. In this episode, we're breaking down what mutual masturbation actually is, why it's so hot, and exactly how to try it for the first time (even if the idea makes you nervous).
The first edition of The UnFragmented Bible is full of amens, which turn to sudden shock. Not recommended if you have a heart condition where shock would be detrimental to your health. If you listen to the audio-only version, you will need to try hard to picture as many ridiculous and sometimes inappropriate GIFs next to Noah's head as you can. The Golden Crew is back, and this week Trevor is NOT dead — despite his best efforts to convince everyone otherwise. After a dramatic week of faking strep throat, sending blinking GIFs, and getting his wife Megan to photograph the inside of his throat for a very skeptical Teladoc doctor, Trevor has somehow survived to podcast another day.On the cruise news front, we've got a big week! The Carnival Sunshine went full blackout — losing power, propulsion, AND sanitation at 2 AM while returning to Norfolk. Tugboats, delayed embarkation, and a $25 onboard credit were involved. We break it all down. Then we talk about the Carnival Conquest's fresh glow-up out of dry dock, including the new Heroes Tribute Bar honoring our military veterans and active duty service members — and yes, the arcade came up too.We also touch on Puerto Vallarta's temporary removal from Carnival's Mexican Riviera routes (Jen is on the Costco update desk, so stay tuned to the Facebook group), and the 2026 Cruiseline.com Member Choice Awards — spoiler: Royal Caribbean swept basically everything and the crew has thoughts. And finally... waffle cones. We somehow end up in a deeply committed conversation about soft serve, cruise hacks, and things we probably should not describe in a family-friendly podcast description. You'll just have to listen.

It makes your profile look more professional and easier to find. Avoid URLs with random numbers or characters, as they can hurt your visibility.Q: Should I use hashtags on LinkedIn?A: The speakers suggest that hashtags are not essential on LinkedIn. However, if you do use hashtags, use them sparingly and strategically.Q: How can I make my LinkedIn posts more engaging?A: You can use polls, GIFs, and visually appealing content to make your posts more engaging. It helps you track your content performance, understand your audience, and gain insights to improve your LinkedIn strategy. The speakers recommend it as a valuable tool for serious LinkedIn users.Q: Why is building an email list so important?A: You don't own your social media followers. If you get locked out of your account or the platform changes its algorithm, you could lose your audience. All the info is over at diabetes-connetionss.com events/ Okay.. our top story this week: XX All UK children could be offered screening for type 1 diabetes using a simple finger-prick blood test, say researchers who have been running a large study. This is the ELSA study - Early Surveillance for Autoimmune diabetes, a first of its kind UK study. They tested blood samples from 17,931 children aged 3-13 for autoantibodies, markers of type 1 diabetes that can appear years before symptoms. Families of children found to have early-stage type 1 diabetes received tailored education and ongoing support to prepare for the eventual onset of type 1 diabetes symptoms and to ensure insulin therapy can begin promptly when needed, reducing the chances of needing emergency treatment. Those with one autoantibody also received ongoing support and monitoring. Some families were also offered teplizumab, the first ever immunotherapy for type 1 diabetes, which can delay the need for insulin by around three years in people with early-stage type 1 diabetes. The second phase has launched and will expand screening to all children in the UK aged 2-17 years, with a focus on younger children (2-3 years) and older teenagers (14-17 years). The research team aims to recruit 30,000 additional children across these new age groups. ELSA 2 will assess how screening can be scaled across the NHS and evaluate its cost-effectiveness. https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/news/2026/childhood-type-1-diabetes-screening-is-effective-and-could-prevent-thousands-of-emergency-diagnoses XX At the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference Dexcom CEO Jake Leach says they're going to launch a new product outside the US. I'll link up that interview, The full quote: "When you look at the outside the U.S., there are a lot of structures that are tiered. Patients have access to different types of products, so we've got a new one that we want to introduce that will add flexibility there. It's based on the G7 platform, just like Dexcom ONE+, but it has a unique experience that's tailored for a subset of users that, today, don't have access to Dexcom." Your guess is as good as mine, but sounds more like a pricing or ordering issue than a new bit of hardware or software. Dexcom will also bring Stelo to some international markets this year. And plans a new mobile app experience for the wearable biosensor meant for people who don't dose insulin. Leach also says G8 will be much smaller and with more capability. but is a few years away. https://www.drugdeliverybusiness.com/dexcom-ceo-jake-leach-2026-roadmap-jpm/ XX A new international consensus statement provides guidance for the use of diabetes technology during pregnancy for women with type 1 diabetes (T1D), type 2 diabetes (T2D), or gestational diabetes (GD). Organized by the diaTribe Foundation, the document was based on evidence where available, as well as opinion from an international group of experts in endocrinology, diabetes technology, and obstetrics & gynecology, among others. This is the first set of recommendations specifically addressing the use of diabetes technology in pregnancy – and we'll link it up. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/new-consensus-statement-addresses-diabetes-tech-pregnancy-2026a100020d XX Bariatric surgery beats GLP-1s for type 2 diabetes across income levels. This study was published this month, looking at nearly 300 patients are 4 medical centers. Success here is measured by lower blood glucose levels, higher weight loss (28% vs. 10%), less use of diabetes medications, remission of diabetes to the point of no longer needing to inject insulin, and reduced risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Bariatric surgery was better than medical therapy across all social backgrounds, they found, and not just in areas of higher deprivation. The ancillary study was smaller, and some of the participants randomized in earlier stages crossed over from medical to surgical treatment, and the reverse. The authors acknowledged and accounted for these limitations, along with the rapid development of more powerful obesity drugs not fully captured in the study. This was a long term study – more than 12 years – and by the end of the study more people were choosing GLP1 medications. One dividing line: If someone hopes to lose 100 pounds, that's more likely with surgery than with medications. "Ultimately, we need large, long-term, well-designed studies to clarify the best strategy for a given patient." https://www.statnews.com/2026/01/19/diabetes-study-bariatric-surgery-better-than-glp-1s/ XX Researchers at the University of California, Riverside have reported for the first time that a father's exposure to microplastics (MPs) can lead to metabolic problems in his children, including diabetes. This is a mouse study, but it looks at a previously unrecognized way in which environmental pollution may influence the health of future generations. MPs are extremely small plastic fragments, measuring less than 5 millimeters, that form as consumer products and industrial materials break down. Metabolic disorders describe a group of conditions that include elevated blood pressure, high blood sugar, and excess body fat, all of which raise the risk of heart disease and diabetes. The team found that female offspring of male mice exposed to MPs were far more prone to metabolic disorders than offspring of unexposed fathers, even though all offspring received the same high fat diet. The research team hopes the findings will guide future investigation into how MPs and even smaller nanoplastics affect human development. https://scitechdaily.com/microplastics-can-rewire-sperm-triggering-diabetes-in-the-next-generation/ XX The FDA has finalized four new recalls for certain lots of Abbott's FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors due to ongoing safety concerns. We told you about this in November when Abbott says some of its continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensors were providing incorrect low glucose warnings. Internal testing identified the issue—carbon building up in the sensors during the manufacturing process—and determined that approximately 3 million CGM sensors were affected. The sensors were distributed in the United States, Canada and several European countries. When Abbott shared that announcement, the FDA was still reviewing the situation. No recalls had yet been finalized. Now, however, the agency has announced four new Class I recalls. https://cardiovascularbusiness.com/topics/clinical/heart-health/fda-confirms-recalls-abbott-cgm-sensors-new-lawsuit-alleges-company-concealed-information XX Insulet brings back it's U.S. Pod recycling program, now making it available to all U.S. customers. The Pod recycling program, offered at no cost to customers, enables users to request a recycling kit online. This allows them to return their used Omnipods. Insulet then decontaminates the returned Pods before transporting them to a company specializing in recycling for electronics and medical products. Insulet began recycling pilot programs in Mass and California and are rolling it out nationwide. Insulet also has "Pod takeback" programs outside the U.S. in several international markets. These programs enable customers to request a takeback kit by contacting their local customer support team. https://www.drugdeliverybusiness.com/insulet-expands-us-pod-recycling-program/ XX Up next a new resource for a population at three times the risk for diabetes, but without a lot of access to health information. I The first diabetes information website primarily in ASL has launched. The site includes GIFs and videos on diabetes management and an ASL glossary of diabetes-related terms. This is from University of Utah Health – Called Deaf Diabetes Can Together. Deaf and hard of hearing people are at three times higher risk for diabetes, but access to health information in ASL is limited. https://healthcare.utah.edu/newsroom/news/2026/01/first-diabetes-information-website-asl-launches XX Novo Nordisk ended all work on cell therapies, including a Type 1 diabetes program, in October – and now has found a buyer. Aspect has acquired rights to the assets and giving Novo an option to reengage for later-stage development and commercialization. Novo is helping bankroll Aspect's development of the assets, investing in the company and providing research funding. The arrangement gives Novo a chance to profit from the programs down the line. Novo is eligible for royalties and milestone payments on future product sales and, having handed the reins to Aspect for now, can expand its role in later-stage development and commercialization. The integration will involve the transfer of capabilities and expertise from Novo sites in Denmark and the U.S. to Aspect's Canadian operations. https://www.fiercebiotech.com/biotech/novo-nordisk-offloads-diabetes-assets-aspect-amid-cell-therapy-retreat XX XX Lucas Escobar has carved a role by proving that healthcare marketing can be culturally resonant, commercially powerful and deeply human. As director and head of U.S. consumer marketing at Insulet, he has redefined how the Omnipod tubeless insulin pump shows up in culture, transforming a medical device into a symbol of identity, inclusion and empowerment. Under Escobar's leadership, Insulet launched three breakthrough initiatives: Dyasonic: Sound of Strength, a Marvel comic collaboration introducing a superhero who uses Omnipod; The Pod Drop, which turned the sound of a pod change into a celebratory music track; and Omnipod Mango x Pantone, medtech's first color partnership, honoring the vibrancy of the diabetes community. Each blended creativity with purpose while driving results, helping fuel Omnipod's consistent double-digit growth and its position as the most prescribed insulin pump in the U.S. Living with type 1 diabetes himself, Escobar brings lived experience to his work, using storytelling not just to sell, but to make people feel seen. Click here to return to the 2026 MM+M 40 Under 40 homepage. From the January 01, 2026 Issue of MM+M - Medical Marketing and Media https://www.mmm-online.com/40-under-40/40-under-40-lucas-escobar-insulet/ -- FDA approves an update to the prescribing info for Afrezza inhaled insulin. This is a revision to the recommendations for the starting mealtime dosage when patients switch from shots or insulin pumps. This is aimed at healthcare providers - the updated labeling was supported by results from the INHALE-3 trial. The FDA is still considering approval of Afrezza for kids – a decision there expect by summer. https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2026/01/26/3225442/29517/en/MannKind-Announces-FDA-Approval-of-Updated-Afrezza-Label-Providing-Starting-Dose-Guidance-when-Switching-from-Multiple-Daily-Injections-MDI-or-Insulin-Pump-Mealtime-Therapy.html -- UK researchers have developed a calculator to predict whether someone is at risk for type 1 diabetes. They're hoping this helps in screening and in preventing DKA at diagnosis. They used the TEDDY study to create this calculator, which right now is in beta form and only for kids and teens ages 8-18. The current beta form of the calculator asks users to answer questions about four factors necessary to estimate a child's risk of developing type 1 diabetes: age, family history, number of confirmed autoantibodies, and genetic risk score. The calculator has been given regulatory approval as a diagnostic in the U.K., and he's working with a company that's hoping to bring it to the U.S. in the next few months in the form of a home genetic test kit. https://www.healthcentral.com/news/type-1-diabetes/new-calculator-might-help-predict-type-1-diabetes-before-symptoms-appear

Are Podcast Chapters a good thing? Most people would say "Of course they are".Steve has reservations, mostly because chapters help listeners more easily skip ads, and that's not a good thing for clients who have ads in their show. However, Podcast Chapters are useful. And very cool...especially when you hear about what can be done with Chapter Images (see chapter #11 of this episode)! Surprise! A bonus episode! We watched the recently released Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the third film in the Benoit Blanc detective franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daniel Craig. We get right into themes explored throughout the movie - the juxtaposition of Blanc and Father Jud and their differing views on faith, the temptation of power and wealth and how it preys on humanity, the many ways in which we tell stories about ourselves and each other, and the inherent power of collective judgement and shame. We delve deep into the complicated relationship between the Catholic Church and how it views and treats women, make parallels between Blanc and Poirot's view of justice and how room time as public shaming can be utilized (or not), praise the incredible lighting and cinematography multiple times, and debate whether this could have been made with a different religion at the core. We also talk about the many twists and turns the mystery takes throughout and realize the mastermind essentially accomplished their goal. Katy was influenced by The Murder of Roger Ackroyd too much, Carrie threw her notebook into the air, Maddy was thinking about Cats, and Mack pitches an academic paper. We also talk about how both Catholics and Rian Johnson love iconography and symbolism, are definitely charmed by Josh O'Connor, think the movie really balanced the buddy comedy and life philosophy aspects well, and love Bridget Everett so much. Listen to hear more about zombies, Captain Ahab, alter servers, Man v. Animal, The Dip, and Star Wars. This is THE quantum shift in how you've been embodying your intuitive gifts andaccessing your spiritual transmissions. And let me tell you, these two things...* How you are with what you know and* What you carry are impacting every singlerelationship you have. Time, about money, sex and relationship to yourself. (transcript continues below the image)Join me for my year of centering on INTUITION right here on this red button! This is my work in progress for Stardust Bones - The Self Initiation journey- each Wedensday in our community we do #wip. It doesn't matter what you are working on - come join us. On Facebook it is the Red Thread Cafe Classroom and on our private app iMusea - it is downloadable. This is the quantum shift in how you've been embodying your intuitive gifts and accessing your spiritual transmissions. And let me tell you, these two things... How you are with what you know and what you carry are impacting every single relationship about time, about money, about sex and about the quality of life.We might not think of spiritual gifts and intuitive transmissions as informing us from the time we're children, but it is and it has been quietly operating under the surface of your life, waiting for the lightning bolt of inspiration, divination, and revelation to land at… what I'm about to share with you.I want to let you know that in 2026, my focus is on intuitive gifts and spiritual transmissions. And you can find out everything that I'm working on for this entire year at www.stardustlineage.com. Everything I'm offering this year will be inside of this framework, which is the evolution of Intentional Creativity relative to my personal body of work. Are you ready? Let's begin with the question. What do you think the biggest quantum leap is… that you could make regarding what you know, what you carry, and really who you are? Because your gifts and transmissions are shaping your identity, largely without you being conscious of it, which is why it often remains inaccessible. (As we consider these ideas - it can amplify what your understanding if you connect your heart and brain into coherence)Here's what I think the quantum shift is. Your intuitive gifts and spiritual transmissions are already within you. Therefore, the journey of becoming who you are is a REVEALING. And that's the key word, a revealing. A revealing. Intuitive Gifts and Spiritual Transmissions * is not a building from scratch* is not an invention from thin air* is not an innovation on things that other people teach you * is not something you pay for or have to earnIntuitive Gifts: You just come in with your gifts and transmissions. By gifts, I mean what you know. Whether you know you know it or not. Spiritual Transmissions: I mean the flood of your insights and ideas in connection with Source in your world. So the shift of understanding that it's A Revealing * reduces hustle and striving * releases a version of seeking * alleviates desperation …As we take workshop after workshop to get access, as we see healer after healer, who reflects back to us what we already know about who we are and what we're carrying. Yet acccess to intuitive gifts and spiritual transmissions has remained elusive for so many of us.I work with thousands of women a year, and so I know this to be true for so many of us, including me. There are lots of reasons why it has been kept from our knowing. One of them is… It is very profitable for the marketplace who markets to self-help and spiritual topics to have you feel like they have the answers instead of you. Believe me, you have the answers. The distinction from earning gifts and transmissions to revealing gifts and transmissions is ginormous. Perhaps even right now, you could feel it in your body. Perhaps right now, you could just be tuning right in to the distinction in the chemistry of how it feels to have gifts revealed. It means you came in with them. It means you already have them. It means no one has to give them to you.It means nobody has to see you for themIt means you're not waiting to be acknowledged by others. Then the sacred work is not to call in the gift, but really to call forward the gift. The energy and emotional distinction in this is SO BIG. I hope that right now you're feeling the change you're coming on and coming into. And the sacred work then, of Revealing is development, is practice, is showing up, is being in inquiry, is the practice of being who you are. That is the path of mystics. That is the path we take once we realize we don't need anyone to declare us as a mystic. We just are because we're women who walk between worlds. We're women who can see things that others do not see. We're women who are carrying information from the spirit realm that is distinct and unique to our identity and who we actually are. That's the work that I do, to create spaces for development and practice and embodiment of what is already there. I can't give you any of your gifts. I can't hand them to you or show you how to work for them, but I can show you how they get Revealed. The acccess to our intuitive and spiritual awareness for all of us can be amplified through self-expression, through embodied interconnection with consciousness, and through relationship with other mystics who are also on the path. I hope that this has landed for you and that you can begin to be with the Revealing. The backstory is that our art matriarch, Sue Hoya Sellers, taught us as this as a community the story. That we come in with information that lands inside of our cooling sack of stars, like codes, just as relevant, if not more than the DNA codes releative to intuitive access. They come in with us lifetime after lifetime. We can either live them or not. And the question is, will you live them? How you live them can be answered. But that you're already carrying them, that's the quantum leap. Much love from my heart to yours. This is Curate Shiloh Sophia. Sending love and stardust. If you want to play and pray and paint and do poetry with us, come see what I'm up to at www.stardustlineage.com. And let me say this:None of the information that I have, that I'm carrying, which is about the information you have that you're carrying, and the activation of it, is actually for sale. What you pay for when you join a program with us is the women who deliver it and the technology of the delivery. The material is accessible to all. Much love to every single one of you. This week, Kristin and I dive into aphantasia, anendophasia, and why apparently my wife's brain works more like a slideshow than a podcast. I'm learning things about her that I wish I didn't know, and she's learning that most people don't think in GIFs. We also talk about what happens when meditation goes wrong, how brains get rewired after trauma, and why sometimes “turning your brain off” might actually mean “floating into the void.” Then we flip open the med student bible for a crash course in aphasia, before spiraling into phantom limb pain and Charles Bonnet syndrome. Takeaways: Aphasia vs. Dysarthria: The difference between not knowing what to say and just not being able to say it. Fix Your Fantasy League's Biggest Problems with These Simple Strategies! Conflict Resolution, Collusion Prevention & Protecting League Integrity. Welcome to Episode 3 of the Footballguys Home League Show—your weekly guide to building fun, competitive, and connected fantasy football home leagues. Hosted by Kevin Murray (author of The Commissioner's Playbook) and Joey Wright (Footballguys Community Ambassador), this episode dives into one of the most important—and often overlooked—parts of running a successful league: conflict resolution, transparency, and league integrity. Fantasy football is full of highs, lows, big trades, heated chats, and unavoidable disagreements. Great leagues aren't the ones that avoid conflict—they're the ones that manage conflict well. Today, Kevin and Joey break down how commissioners and league members can protect fairness, reduce drama, avoid collusion, and strengthen trust all season long. League of the Week: The BPFL This week we spotlight the BPFL, commissioned by Billy Michalski. What started as a softball team's offseason hobby has evolved into a creative, high-engagement fantasy empire filled with traditions, identity, and league-wide pride. Highlights from BPFL: • 14-team, two-division format • Empire pot keeping long-term stakes high • Legendary draft days with full production value • Draft-order determination contests • Custom website using League Legacy • An emphasis on culture, transparency, collaboration, and connection The BPFL is a shining example of what great commissioners build: leagues with personality, pride, and long-lasting tradition. Learn more about League Legacy Websites: LeagueLegacyWebsites.com To submit your league for consideration: FBGCommish@Footballguys.com Commish Corner: Engagement in the Season of Apathy Right now is the stretch of the season where excitement peaks for some managers… and fades for others. Kevin and Joey share quick ways to re-ignite your league: • Drop memes, GIFs, and hype videos • Stir up storylines and rivalries • Create a "state of the league" update • Spotlight manager achievements • Spark discussion in the group chat Small touches often make the biggest cultural impact. Home League Huddle (Main Topic): Conflict Resolution & League Integrity Conflict is inevitable in fantasy football—trades, collusion suspicions, tanking concerns, commissioner decisions, and playoff implications all create friction. But great leagues use that friction to build stronger culture. In this episode, Kevin and Joey break down: • Why conflict management matters • How trust affects every league decision • Common sources of conflict • Preventing disputes before they start • Fair and transparent trade-review systems • Collusion-proofing your league • When (and when not) to intervene as commissioner • The "best interest of the league" clause • Healthy communication habits that sustain culture Kevin also shares an unforgettable real-life story—The Great Publix Trade Approval of 2013—and explains how a single misstep led him to create a formal league constitution. This episode shows why conflict doesn't have to break a league. When handled correctly, it builds connection, trust, and long-term stability. Last Place Lounge This week we review and rate four last-place punishments: • Street-corner costume sign • Paying next year's champion's dues • Recording a video apology • Losing a future draft pick Send in your league's punishments for a chance to be featured! Commish Hotline & Mailbag Have a question, conflict, story, dilemma, or hilarious league moment? Email us at FBGCommish@Footballguys.com and your submission may appear in a future episode. The Culture of Fantasy Kevin and Joey close with a reflection on how leagues grow through communication, trust, connection, and shared traditions. Tired of writing emails no one reads…or worse, emails no one clicks? Daniel and Jay break down an email tactic that's stupid simple but wildly underrated: how using animated GIFs can instantly lift your click-through rates and make any email impossible to ignore. They explain why GIFs still outperform video in email, how to theme them for maximum relevance (especially during November–December), and how AI + free tools like Canva make creating them a three-minute job, even if you “don't know what you're doing.” They break down: > Why animated GIFs consistently boost click-throughs by 20% > The seasonal window where GIF performance skyrockets > How AI can create, crop, and embed GIFs for you instantly If you're a Marketer looking for an easy way to boost email performance this quarter, this one's for you.
What if your carefully crafted training course could become a content campaign that actually drives behavior change? Most L&D professionals create amazing content that gets consumed once and forgotten. But what if that single course could spawn dozens of touchpoints that reinforce learning over time? We're seeing a shift where smart L&D teams are borrowing from marketing playbooks, and it's working. The secret isn't creating more content; it's strategically repurposing what you already have.Joining this episode is Mike Taylor, Learning Consultant at Nationwide and co-author of "Think Like a Marketer, Train Like an L&D Pro."Mike's been pioneering the campaign approach to learning, and shows us how one webinar recording can become email sequences, infographics, GIFs, and micro-learning moments. He explains why thinking in campaigns rather than courses changes everything, introduces the SURE model for creating content that sticks, and shows how to overcome the "we don't have time" objection with smart repurposing strategies.Learning points from the episode include:00:00 - 02:22 Introduction to repurposing and spawning multiple content pieces02:22 - 05:15 Why repurposing isn't more work and how to expand your reach05:15 - 06:56 Think campaigns not courses: the hero content pyramid06:56 - 09:19 Leaving breadcrumb trails across multiple channels09:19 - 11:51 Setting hooks and the SURE model for relevant content11:51 - 12:39 Why content creates feelings whether you know it or not12:39 - 14:23 Turning annual compliance into year-round micro-learning14:23 - 16:37 Using AI and A/B testing data to sell repurposing internally16:37 - 17:58 Finding small experiments to build credibility17:58 - 21:13 Visual repurposing: webinars to GIFs, polls to graphics21:13 - 23:13 Using Camtasia for Microsoft Office tips and animated GIFs23:13 - 25:00 Why even simple content benefits from repurposing25:00 - 26:53 Making subject matter expert content digestible26:53 - 31:15 OutroImportant links and mentions:Connect with Mike Taylor on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/miketaylor/Find out more about Train Like a Marketer: https://trainlikeamarketer.com/Camtasia: https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/ Snagit: https://www.techsmith.com/snagit/Audiate: https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/audiate/
You can do a lot right in your business and still plant legal landmines without realizing it. We brought attorney-turned-founder Bobby Clink on to walk through the simple, practical steps that keep online businesses out of trouble—so you can grow without fear of rebrands, takedowns, or messy disputes. From naming a podcast or course to handling email consent across borders, we break down the exact checks ambitious creators should run before momentum builds. We start by separating copyright (your content) from trademarks (your brand) with real examples: why a five-minute trademark search saves a five-figure rebrand, what's worth registering with the Copyright Office, and how AI-generated content changes what you actually own. Then we move into email: GDPR consent done right with unchecked boxes, why CAN-SPAM is not a hall pass, and how to keep your list-building clean without tanking deliverability. We also tackle the overlooked risk of memes and GIFs in newsletters, the right way to license images, and the safe lane with Canva's terms.Contracts get the spotlight too. Bobby explains why written agreements protect relationships, not just revenue, and how to structure terms that match the reality of your offers—scope, IP ownership, refunds, termination, and more. To make this easier, we explore Bobby's Plainly Legal platform: a free Legal Manager that audits your business and prioritizes tasks, a powerful agreement generator with e‑signature, and Chat Legal for quick, vetted answers. The goal isn't to turn you into a lawyer—it's to give you the confidence to build, market, and sell without second-guessing every step.If you found this helpful, follow the show, share it with a founder who needs a legal tune‑up, and leave a quick review so more builders can find it. The Agents of Change: SEO, Social Media, and Mobile Marketing for Small Business
You know that sinking feeling when you realize your carefully crafted content sounds exactly like everyone else's? (Yeah, me too.) Here's the uncomfortable truth: expertise has been commodified. You can share everything you know, and it still won't be enough to stand out because a hundred other voices are saying the same thing—just maybe with different GIFs. Jay Acunzo spent years building a speaking career without a book, without fame, just by owning a singular premise that made people stop and think differently. Now he works behind the scenes with executives and entrepreneurs, helping them transform generic advice into intellectual property that actually resonates. In this conversation, we dig into how you move from talking about topics to owning a perspective, why "unsolicited response rate" matters more than reach metrics, and what it really takes to become the voice people seek out instead of scroll past. https://www.theagentsofchange.com/604 Need help with your branding, website, or digital marketing? In this issue of The Brief, we're reflecting on what we learned about the past and future of design from our conversation with Paola Antonelli (The Museum of Modern Art), Mark Wilson (Fast Company), Kate Aronowitz (GV), Mike Davidson (Microsoft), and Meaghan Choi (Anthropic). Looking back at 30 years of design by Eli Woolery Roughly thirty years ago, I was an undergrad, sitting in our dorm's computer cluster —this was before the days when most students had laptops. I ran into something I hadn't seen before. It was called Netscape Navigator, and it was one of the first commercial internet browsers (which our very first guest on Design Better, Irene Au, helped design). I clicked on one of the buttons (probably, “What's Cool”), and along with a nifty loading animation, the browser took me down some early internet rabbit hole. I don't remember where exactly I ended up, but I do remember being blown away by the experience. As a computer nerd kid in the 80's, I had spent plenty of time with bulletin board systems (BBS's) and things like America Online, which we could access through a dial-up modem from home. But this was very different. It was fast—compared to what I was used to—and it felt like I could almost instantaneously access content from all around the world (even though the content online at the time was a miniscule fraction of what it is today). I had entered school to study product design, but this was for products in the physical world…digital product design didn't exist as we know it today. The first use of the phrase “User Experience” in a job title was Don Norman's role a a User Experience Architect at Apple in the mid-90s. Browsers like Netscape Navigator, and then the introduction of the iPhone in 2007, opened up a new world of opportunities and challenges for the field of design. In our conversation with Paola and Mark, we talked about four: the democratization paradox, design's loss of innocence, the fragmentation of the design profession, and the shift from tangible to intangible design. The Democratization Paradox “We democratized all the tools and we democratized none of the platforms. And that gap is just in a nutshell, kind of what's broken about the individual's ability to communicate.”—Mark Wilson, Fast Company While design tools and capabilities have been democratized (everyone can now access design software, create content, etc.), the platforms and systems remain highly centralized within a few large companies—Meta, Google, TikTok, etc. The early, messy days of the internet (Geocities, MySpace) have been largely tamed, which can make for better user experiences, but we also miss the wild creativity that came from having an infinite number of ways to express yourself online. Back then, your personal web page could be a nightmare of animated GIFs, visitor counts, and autoplay music—terrible for usability, but at least it was yours. Today, we're all posting in the same formats, and are subjected to the same algorithmic rules for engagement. The tools to create have never been more powerful or accessible, yet we're increasingly creating within narrower and narrower boundaries defined by a handful of tech giants.
