What do we mean when we talk about "the last judgment?" We saw in our previous excursion into the book of Revelation that we can get a bit sloppy about what we call "Heaven." We distinguished three states of bliss, not just one. Just so, there are 3 things that are often confused under the broad heading, The Final Judgment. And those are very, very different. What happens before the Last Days? Any study of Revelation takes us forward into the future, all the way out to the end of Gentile history. And that calls for a study of the book of Daniel, and of Jesus' words on the subject. And that rewinds the film a bit, because the Lord gave us some indications of "the beginning of labor pains," saying, "the end is not yet." When you hear these trumpets, it's too late! We get the sense, reading Revelation, that God isn't commanding new judgments to fall on the Earth; we don't hear Him pronouncing them.
