A single, unified science seems far beyond our reach, yet the requirements for one are quite simple. All that is needed is a quantified factor that all events can be subsumed under. Think of science as a universal solvent. We can understand this better when we understand conventional physical sciences look at force as unifying factor common to all physical events, but force in the social sciences means a totally different thing. Therefore, we have divided the sciences into the hard and soft sciences. Apriorian however universalizes the sciences utilizing an element central to all phenomena.

Nothing seems to be more misunderstood than the hypothesis of two distinct realities, despite it being the most obvious truth, not just in The Universal Theory of Apriorism, but absolutely. We all talk as if there were two realities. Our various political, economic and religious theories all address the idea and incorporate it to some degree, in the body of their claims. The only real aspect of this is where the line between the realities is drawn. However, we need to address relative versus absolute divisions. The divisions between left and right politics and economics is artificial and relative. The differences are more quantitative and cosmetic and real. It is more about marketing an option than highlighting a real distinction. But this idea that all of our distinctions are truly just points on a continuum is part of The One Reality Hypothesis. If you reject The Two Reality Hypothesis, which you more than likely do, you think everything is relative, truth is contingent, and good and evil are polar opposites separated by an infinite continuum of gray. Which means every concept and idea about reality can be contained within The One Reality Hypothesis. Differences between how people think about reality are merely cosmetic and point to nothing substantial, except in one case. One reality cannot be contained in The One Reality Hypothesis, and that is the idea that truth is absolute and there are diametrically opposed ideas that have no path to reconciliation. We cannot reconcile that which by definition, is unreconcilable. A reality based on absolute Good and Absolute Truth, cannot be part of a reality in which all truth is contingent and what is good is what is legal. Those who subscribe to The One Reality Hypothesis can claim those who believe there is an absolute truth, are wrong or even insane. But that is all they can do, but this is a confirmation there is a reality that cannot be contained in The One Reality Hypothesis. So, in fact, The One Reality Hypothesis (ORH) is a contradiction of terms, since it says, all ideas about truth and reality are contingent and relative, except one and that is the idea that absolute truth and absolute good exist. The Two Reality Hypothesis is nothing more than a non-contradictory version of the ORH. The Two Reality Hypothesis acknowledges most people believe truth is relative and contingent and reject those who claim otherwise. The Two Reality Hypothesis (TRH) affirms there is a reality that the ORH rejects. And so we of the TRH reject the ORH because there is this other reality in which truth is absolute and what is good is not contingent. The choice is to be an adherent of the ORH and claim all of reality is relative and probabilistic and reject there are absolute truths or accept there are absolute truths that are not contained in the relativistic scheme of things. Even truth claims such as the one that all of reality is composed of relative truths, which is an absolute truth claim, refuting its own terms of existence. Which means the ORH is inherently self-refuting, leaving as the only possible absolute truth, The Two Reality Hypothesis.
The Bangkok Podcast | Conversations on Life in Thailand's Buzzing Capital
Greg and Ed pull together all their accumulated wisdom about Thai culture and society into six pithy theories to aid expats and tourists alike. Ed begins with his classic ‘Universal Theory of Thailand,” that everything good in the country comes from Thais being so nice, and that everything bad in the country ALSO comes from Thais being so nice. The guys discuss how true this is, before Greg drops his own grand theory that nothing gets improved in Thailand until it becomes embarrassing for Thailand internationally. The boys realize that if a charity or NGO was REALLY smart, they would spend their money on some ultra-famous influencer like Kim Kardashian to harp about some social ill in Thailand. The government would get right on it! Ed follows with his idea that you can say anything you want to a Thai person, as long as you are smiling while you are doing it. Greg then brings up some VERY practical advice for safety on the streets of Bangkok, and Ed finishes with the irony of how rules work in Thailand, usually not mattering but then eventually REALLY mattering. Then guest of the show Jon concludes with his ‘range of the acceptably wrong' theory to help tourists and expats manage expectations in the Land of Smiles. This may be the episode of the Bangkok Podcast with the most wisdom and insight per minute! Don't forget that Patrons get the ad-free version of the show as well as swag and other perks. I talk to Chris Paines who describes himself as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt who has never done Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He started training submission grappling somewhat isolated from the larger BJJ scene in Staffordshire, England but began attending BJJ Globetrotters camps where he met Priit Mihkelson. It was at these camps where he was graded up and awarded his black belt by Priit. The unconventional way he learned made him forced him to emphasise understanding the concepts behind grappling, which he describes as a machine of physics and biology through which using concepts the techniques can emerge. We discuss these conceptual ideas and specifically his universal theory of guard which has him focusing on control points and applying other lessons from wrestling that has allowed him to progress. .

This thesis deals with the design and the potential of Universal Theories in a context of continually increasing complexity and differentiation. Univeral Theories make assertions about all kinds of phenomena without claiming exclusivity. The significance of Universal Theories derives from their use as integrative metatheories, interdisciplinary frameworks for knowledge and theory. The initial emphasis is on the analysis of the design of Niklas Luhmann's System Theory. The influence of the claim to universality on the design and content of the theory is investigated, as well as the extent to which this is achieved. The next section deals with one of the most important research areas of the last decades: the investigation of hypercomplex structures as in evolution or chaos theory. These hypercomplex structures have the breadth and scope necessary to model the whole range of interactive processes represented by Universal Theories. In a continuation of Luhmann's approach to a Universal Theory, the Iteration Theory is extended with unlimited scope, interdisciplinary applicability and self-referential reflection. The aim of the proposed theory is to apply a heterarchic and coherence-theoretical framework to describe hyper complex structures in the form of networks of repeated partial processes. The self-referential reflection of theory as theory is discussed against the background of philosophy and neurobiology. The idea of a Universal Theory represents a paradigm change from hierarchical structures to heterarchic and coherence-theoretical networks, with greater descriptive power for the increasing complexity of the world and human knowledge. The consequences of Universal Theory for science and society are investigated here.
