With seven trolley parks and one waterside park, West Virginia had a collective total of eight amusement parks during the golden age of that great American institution's development, and from among them, Camden Park still thrives, bearing witness to the magic of that era.

What do you keep, remove, or change completely? These are questions that every filmmaker must face when working on an adaptation. However, many times these adaptations leave audiences saying “the book was better” as they leave the theater. Not with this year's hit Project Hail Mary though, with many fans yelling “Amaze Amaze Amaze!” as they head for the lobby. Why did this film adaptation from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller work when so many others fail to capture what makes a book special? Why did the changes made for the film work, or maybe didn't work? Join as the group dive into those questions and more in an entertaining discussion about the film, the book differences, the Trolley problem, and more! Ever look up and wonder what you're looking at? Well, this time it's the Garage Hour. We're too busy to pull a Strangelove, however - there's a space station (international), a satellite (train or track), and a semi that got punted into orbit by Ktulu's little brother, Bl'Slyu. Pile them in with a mess of auto manufacturer recalls from the likes of Ford, Porsche, Tesla and BMW (just in case your driveshaft is separating, your cameras are shorting, or your fuel pump ain't), a few robot semis (those that escaped Bl'Slyu's wrath), an out-of-control tram (a trolley, but for fancy people), the return of the Bodycount Conundrum, some sporty urban shooting and a few deranged urban robot cars, and it's definitely good gearheadness. Just for sport (more of it): Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails, Ray Liotta, bad drivers, bad kitties, excellent cops, tactical gun training, terrorists, sinkholes, cloud seeding and more pinko spying.

A Clare TD has slammed comments by the Health Minister praising a marginal reduction in trolley numbers over the St Brigid's weekend According to the HSE's Trolleygar report, there were 25% fewer patients waiting on trolleys at 8am after the Bank Holiday weekend, compared to same period last year. However, figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show University Hospital Limerick was actually more overcrowded this year, with 118 patients without a bed, even with the opening of the new 96 bed block. Shannon Sinn Féin Deputy Donna McGettigan has been telling Clare FM's Daragh Dolan the Government should focus on action not back patting.

Another day, another high of 14° today. It's Thursday, so that means we asked each other Hypothetical questions. Brian's question was the classic "Trolley dilemma" Jean's was: "Would you rather be completely alone all the time or have people around all the time?" Also on Thursdays, we talk to Office Cora to find out what she's up to in the 715 this weekend. Today, she also recapped her experience at last weekend's Riverfront Revolt. In the news this morning, a candidate for Governor of WI has dropped out of the race, a lawsuit involving Costco's rotisserie chicken, a recall on Gerber biscuits, and UPS is cutting a bunch of jobs nationwide. In sports, the Badgers overcame a 20-point deficit to beat the Gophers last night, the Bucks are in Washington tonight, Giannis trade rumors are starting to really heat up with the NBA trade deadline looming, the Browns have hired a new head coach, and another golfer is leaving LIV and heading back to the PGA tour. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and discussed Neilsen's 2025 year-end streaming numbers. A guy in Wisconsin was rescued by some strangers after he fell through the ice on a lake while trying to ice fish, and a snowplow driver cleared the way for a woman to get her baby to the hospital in Cincinnati during a snow storm. Elsewhere in sports, the Duke QB officially transfers to Miami, the giant amount of money expected to be wagered on the Super Bowl, and a "cursed" NBA game!!! Google recently released some stats on what kind of winter-related searches were popular during the last few weeks, and a viral jingle for Dr. Pepper has inspired many other people to try and create jingles for their favorite sodas. And in today's episode of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who cut off his own foot to get into medical school, a substitute teacher in Las Vegas who got fired after using the N-word during a class, a bunch of sewage is flowing into the Potomac River and creating a "geyser of poop", a #FloridaMan who was trying to toughen up his kid, and another #FloridaMan who was banging his vacuum in the middle of the street in broad daylight.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
