TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, they kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. Victory | Jesus is Coming Soon Sunday, April 23, 2023 Peter Smith Revelation 22.6-21 Jesus is coming back for His people. He is coming back to enact all that we read in Revelation. He sent us this word so that we could be ready for Him and not surprised. Knowing all that we know, how do we change how we live? Do our hearts say, “Come,” as the Spirit and rest of the Bride say? Jesus is bringing eternal blessing with Him and invites us to witness to a world that does not know that it wants Him. By His Spirit He can open hearts who once said, “Stay away!” to now say, “Come!”
The death and resurrection of Jesus is the Heart of History. -The disciples were blindsided by lack of faith. The body is gone. He was raised, thus changing everything.-Peter and John ran to the tomb and remembered what He had taught them his resurrection.-1. Validity- soundness of evidence-See Isaiah 53-2. Victory-Jesus reversed all that was bad- removed death and sin. All was victory in the resurrection for the people of God.-3. Vivification or being made alive.-we are justified and made completely clean. See Romans 6.--He is Risen- this is the core message of the Gospel-our Great Hope.
Victory | Jesus the Judge Sunday, March 26th, 2023 Jordan Weeks Revelation 20 There are many opinions about this text and the millennium. But the main point of the text is that Satan, the dragon, will ultimately be judged and sentenced to an eternity of torment. And the same is true for all those whose names were not written in the Lamb's book of life. There is a real sober nature to this text. Evil is officially ending.
Victory | Jesus the Victor Sunday, March 19th, 2023 Dwight Bernier Revelation 19.11-21 This picture of Jesus is intimidating. He is dressed as a warrior who is going to battle. All those who are not with Him are against Him. And He captures them all - the beast, the false prophet, and all those who worshiped the beast were captured. The beast and false prophet were thrown into the lake of fire. And we are with Him. We get to participate in His victory over evil as followers and worshipers. He is victorious.

What causes Jesus to weep?
Judas forms a sharp contrast to Lazarus, Martha, and Mary.
A broken heart poured out to God in worship is a beautiful thing!
Mary was not afraid to display her love openly.
Serve Jesus first regardless of circumstances or people.
Lazarus needed fellowship with Jesus.

#0061 (Series: The Kingdom Strikes Back pt.29 - Hebrews 6:11-12) – Jesus came on a mission to overthrow the kingdom of darkness and establish the Kingdom of God. In this episode, we learn what to do when we don't see God's promises come to pass right away. You can find show notes for this podcast episode at http://tekoa.media/0061Scripture from this episode:Hebrews 6:11-12 ESV – 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.Hebrews 4:2 ESV – 2 For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.Hebrews 10:23 ESV – 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Romans 8:24-25 ESV – 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. If this podcast has challenged and encouraged you, be sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode! If you would like to receive our weekly newsletter featuring our best content and updates, you can subscribe for free here. This podcast is a ministry of Mike Lawrence and The Tekoa Project.
