An illegal cycle way is back in the suburb of Berhampore in Wellington this morning, after being removed by the council last night. Volunteers from Cycle Wellington have re-built what they are calling a pop-up bike lane using planter boxes along Adelaide Road outside the well used football venue Wakefield Park. The council says the boxes are unsecured and are actually a danger and can't be kept in their present form. Reporter Harry Lock is in Berhampore next to the cycleway and spoke to Corin Dann.

What happens when Tug and Boris go on the road? Unsupervised? Bad things, obviously, but good things, too. We can't talk about the bad things (those records are sealed) but we can spruik the good stuff. Like spending an hour listening to a bloke who rides motorcycles really fast for money. A road trip to the Australian Superbike Championship round at Wakefield Park - including a chat with Wayne Maxwell for an episode of the World's Greatest Moto GP Podcast - sounded like a ripping idea when we thought of it and it turns out that's exactly what it was. As always, none of this would be possible without our sponsors Ron Angel Wholesale (http://www.ronangel.com.au/Main.asp?_=Conti_Embeded) (suppliers of Continental tyres in Australia), Suzuki (https://www.suzukimotorcycles.com.au), Held Australia (https://heldaustralia.com.au/shop/) and Velocity Vehicle Care (https://velocityvehiclecare.com). It's a pretty simple deal people: These guys support us so you need to support them. We don't do deals with sponsors whose products we don't endorse and if you stick with the brands we recommend you'll not only be buying quality but you're helping keep us on air. And if you want to go that extra step, sign up for the Patreon Pit Crew (https://www.patreon.com/MotoPG) and get access to exclusive content and competitions. Only Pit Crew members get to ask the boys questions in the Hearts and Minds segment and only Pit Crew members are eligible for the amazing Held prize of a trip to Germany in 2022 to attend a MotoGP race and tour the factory. Oh, and don't forget our MotoPG website (https://motopgco.wordpress.com) and the merchandise shop (https://www.motopg.theprintbar.com) where you can buy exclusive T Shirts only other MotoPG fans will understand. It's all happening at the MotoPG podcast so stop reading this rubbish and start listening. Now.

Merchants of Dirt Episode #32 Do know what kind of thinking goes into deciding when to call the race due to rain? Join me as I continue my Inside the Race Director's Studio series with Part 2, and take you behind the scenes of the third mountain bike race in my four-race series. Behind the Scenes It might be hard to believe that the Washington DC Metro area has any quiet parks, however, Wakefield Park is one of those hidden destinations that only the locals know about.
