On the 26th of June, 2006, police were notified that a young girl had gone missing in Perth. Moments later, her body was found, and an expansive crime scene was established. With an unknown, and clearly dangerous offender on the run, police were working against the clock to preserve crucial evidence, and find who was responsible. Then detective Paul Litherland was too close to the victim's family to investigate, so was forced to watch on as police began their search for the offender. Brent Sanders sits down with Paul to hear this story, and understand how Paul went from General Duties Cop to WA's Australian of the Year. This week on The Exit: Ben Faw has gone through two exits, one of which closed for a $100M valuation. In this conversation, Ben discusses how he selected the business to build, his criteria for finding an M&A advisor at the beginning of the exit process, and some metrics the buyer was looking at that ultimately led to closing the deal. In regards to the timing of the sale, interestingly, Ben starts thinking about selling a business when everything is going well, as this is when you can sell for the highest valuation and attract the best buyers. Aside from the success of the exit itself, another major accomplishment and testament to the quality of the company was in growing a team of 100, ~95 of whom stayed with the company after the exit. For more details and insights from his entrepreneurial journey, listen to the latest episode of The Exit here. Ben Faw is the Co-Founder and current CEO of AdVon Commerce. This week on the show we have a lot to discuss in a little amount of time (although we ran a tad late)! As we look at the Retro Raw Review and the No Mercy PPV that preceded it there was change in the air and a lot of moving parts. Russo & Ed Ferrara had jumped to the competition just as The Rock was climbing to the top of the WWF mountain and Stone Cold Steve Austin was dealing with some lingering issues stemming from over a year prior. It made for an exciting and unpredictable time and we have fun breaking some of it down. From there we have some figure news including a tremendous new Micro Brawler up for pre-order as well as discuss the latest offerings from GCW, AEW, MLW, WWE and more. Enjoy!

Send in your thoughts, opinions, concerns, reviews, fears, emotional outbursts, or anything else you would like. Anything you send in will be read or played on the 300th episode. An Mp3 would be great, or just a regular email is fine. Send anything you want to soulforgepodcast@gmail.com On this episode, we talk about a little bit of everything. During the past weekend, Shawn drove to Timmins after work on Friday to visit his son. Although the drive usually takes 6 hours, he found a shortcut that shaved approximately 30 minutes from the trip. Naturally it was a quick trip because Shawn had to be back at work on Monday. Shawn and his son Bishop spent all day Saturday together. They went for brunch and then hunted for Hot Wheels. They also had several great conversations about the future. Bishop's mom is thinking about moving the family to Thunder Bay. Bishop hates change. He would prefer to remain in Timmins. Because he will soon be 18, and hence an adult, he can make his own choices. Perhaps he will move in with a friend. There is still much to consider such as finances and schooling. Gaming is Bishop's main focus. Nothing else seems to matter at the moment. This will definitely be a challenge going forward. Current world events include the Hawaii wild fire which is the worst in USA history. The war in Ukraine continues to carry on and the missiles requested from Germany may not arrive. Former president Trump has been indicted for a 4th time, this latest one by Georgia. In less than a month, Shawn and his girlfriend Leah, and their friend Amanda will be at Disney. Although they have gone previously, this will be Shawn's first time. Georgia and Florida. Plane and train rides. The adventure has many moving parts to it.
