We're officially declaring this the start of season 2 and fittingly, our guest, Tommy Rees, is about to enter his second year calling plays for the offense. After breaking out a new intro, we discuss Luke meeting the other coordinator, defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman, at the Rockne Gala in Chicago last week. The man knows how to command a room. With Tommy, we talk playbook development, quarterback evaluation, his relationship with Ian Book, and his own playing career under the Golden Dome. The rumors are true-Tommy would like to come back as an offensive guard in his next life. After a fun interview, we discuss the item sweeping the college football news cycle-conference realignment. One of us really doesn't care for conferences and the other is growing very tired of Texas A&M fans. This episode was a blast, so be sure to check it out, as well as the written work we've recently put out on the site!

With Tommy still in Tampa, Alex & Tara spend about an hour recapping and recommending (or not) two dozen of the most recent movies they've streamed because why not? We love movies. For each film, we give you: A brief idea of what it's about, the year it came out, Rotten Tomatoes ratings, runtime, and a Watch/Skip reco. "Watch" ratings abound because Alex is either easy to please or pretty good at picking out what to watch...or possibly a little of both. Claunch and JB talk about the upcoming NCAAs in Minnesota, the Pan Am women's wrestle-offs, how Michigan State being relevant again on the scene is a good thing and a whole lot of crap in between.

With Tommy and Kevin "honoring America", Mike rides solo for the first time in podcast history. With the help of the Quackolytes, Mike pinpoints exactly which North Stars game the Mighty Ducks went to and answers a few Quack Questions. Show Notes Thanks again to Quackolyte Sean for his creation of NHL 94 Mighty Ducks edition. Step by step instructions: Download the Gens Emulator. Download Sean's Mighty Ducks version on NHL 94. This thread then explains how to play online. (You'll need to download some more stuff.) After you've done all that: message us on Twitter or on Facebook or email us so we can try to figure this out together. Mike mispoke. It was Mighty Ducks Minute No. 76, not 123. That minute came in EPISODE 123. Thanks to @brandonmbender for figuring out the Whalers game. Here are all the details you'd ever want to know about the game. Charlie and Bombay dancing like weirdos at the game: On second glance, the cutaway on Mike Modano's goal looks exactly like Charlie's penalty shot, not Bombay's. Here is the net on Modano's shot. And the net on Charlie's shot. Same net and backgrounds, different corners. Overtime's were still five minutes back in 1992. Thanks to @Stevieyanks for the #QuackQuestion. This is Marcus Dupree. Thanks to @AbsoluteGunk for the #QuackQuestion. @QuackAttackPod Who would you rather have on a hockey team The Bash Brothers or The Hanson Brothers from Slap Shot? #TheQuackQuestion — AbsoluteGunk (@AbsoluteGunk) May 28, 2018 The Hanson brothers were not real people. They were based off the Carlson brothers, who were indeed real.

With Tommy on the road and Kevin slowly dying, we find enough time to connect briefly on Prowl, Junior World's, and preview next week. Sorry for the sound quality.
With Tommy bailing after an iffy excuse, Mike and Kevin take a #QuackQuestion on the Mighty Ducks' and Eden Hall's alternate captains. Who earned the right to wear a letter next to Charlie? Then Nick and Zack square off in an epic trivia duel. Show Notes: Thanks to @jarrodbeasley for the #QuackQuestion: @QuackAttackPod #quackquestion Bombay and Orion never really gave out the A, just the C. Who on the Ducks gets the A's? — Jarrod Beasley (@jarrodbeasley) April 15, 2017 The fully updated #QuackQuestion leaderboard. Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr were captain and assistant captain for at least some portion of their time together: In 2008-09 the Canucks appointed Roberto Luongo captain (not the Panthers), but apparently he didn't wear a letter since he couldn't be an official captain during games. Alex Ovechkin was indeed the captain of the Capitals last year. Banks' Hawks jersey doesn't have any captains letters on it: Kevin's Sergei Federov Russian jersey: Kevin has made the case for Dwayne being the worst player multiple time. The most recent with was with fellow Dwayne hater Tom Martin in Episode 121. So here's how the locker room scene after the Blake Bears game goes down: Charlie goes in and says he got hooked. Wu tells him we didn't need any more goals. Luis makes a snidy comment. Guy comes through with the most leadership, saying, "We let down, it's as simple as that." Then Connie barges in with, "Hey, you let down. I played hard." Russ isn't in the mix at all. Thanks to @forza1899Milan and @ztwin78 for the epic trivia battle. Coach Orion's confidence speech: The family eating chicken wings at a picnic:
With Tommy out on business, Eric Olanowski has joined Claunch to cover a variety of topics. MSU, Tom and the Minktones, Recruiting, Wrestling in the Big 10, Prowl, Simona Halep. All the important things. If you are a fan of reckless speculation, then you'll enjoy this.
With Tommy still on the lam, Mike and Kevin welcome in special guests Macho and Moxie for a discussion on the triple deke. They discuss its origins, whether Bombay should've abandoned it, and when its resurgence is coming in the hockey world. Show notes: Tommy's replacements, Macho and Moxie: We talked about the media and the Mighty Ducks in Episode 5. Here is the article Mike could now read: We talked about the best sports dynasties in Episode 106. This is Charlie's goal from D1. It didn't happen at all how the newspaper described it: Charlie is right handed in the films. Young Bombay is also right handed, as is Old Bombay. Banks losing the puck on his triple deke shootout attempt: Before playing three-bar Stansson tells Bombay, "Show me that famous triple deke that your daddy taught you. Or was it that old geezer over there?" So it's unclear where it originated, but probably with either Bombay's dad or Hans/Jan. This is Pavel Datsyuk's signature move that Mike talked about: Thanks to @Totally_Offside for the #QuackQuestion: @QuackAttackPod Was Ducksworth actually a good guy in D1? #QuackQuestion — Totally Offside (@Totally_Offside) June 6, 2017
With Tommy out, Mike and Kevin steal his idea and talk about the effects the 1988 Jamaican bobsled team on Trinidad and Tobago's run to the Junior Goodwill Games. They also discuss whatever happened to Terri the cocktail waitress. Show Notes Jamaica we have a bobsled team: Shoutout to this bus driver: @dartmedia Driver this morning on 019 (#39112) is A+. Went of her way to make sure a slightly lost older man got to the right bus. So kind. — Kevin Cullen (@KevinMCullen) February 17, 2017 Cool Runnings for the unfamiliar. Trinidad and Tobago: Jamaica to Trinidad and Tobago is a two hour, 55 minute flight. Dallas to Detroit is a two hour, 30 minute flight. Dallas to Philadelphia is a three hour flight. The U.S.A. beat Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 9-2: Shoutout to Hasely Crawford for bringing home the gold medal for Trinidad and Tobago in 1976. Sam Gellard, hockey star, born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. We talked about the Iceland team inspiring another generation down the line in Episode 88. Thanks to Altin for the #QuackQuestion: "Whatever happened to Terri the cocktail waitress in D2? Did she ever become "head of production for a major studio"? How low did she go in order to make it in Hollywood? And, what are the chances that she went home with the Minnesota Miracle Man that night?" Judging from Gordon's face here, he's definitely in:
With Tommy, in Communist exile, our 4 heroes struggle on without him. Rio games kicking makes this a sport heavy episode. Apps invents a new gymnastic move called the triple spin, 180* bollocks, Jonesy wears a tin hat, Mig multitasks and Phil literally airs his dirty laundry. Movie review this week is Fast Times a Richmond High. 3 stars podcast!
