V Domu glasbe v Celovcu bo to nedeljo Koroška poje, osrednji koncert Krščanske kulturne zveze. Tematiko nam je predstavil tajnik Martin Kuchnling: Ker bo koncert potekal na mednarodni dan žena, bodo v ospredju ženske kot pesnice, skladateljice, prirejevalke pesmi, zborovodkinje, pevke, glasbenice in moderatorke. Nastopilo bo deset skupin: Skupina akzent iz Ledinc, MoPZ Foltej Hartman iz Pliberka, Vokalna skupina Oktakord (najboljša mala vokalna skupina leta 2025), Kvartet Ave iz Bilčovsa, Projektni zbor KKZ Mladina poje, Mladinski zbor/Jugendchor Oisternig z Bistrice na Zilji, Vokalna skupina Tambula iz Celovca, Lara Rutar & Shifting Roots iz Celovca, Komorni zbor Limbar iz Slovenije ter Fantje izpod grmade s Primorske v Italiji. To nedeljo bo torej v osrednji koncertni hiši v Celovcu koncert v poklon ženskam, ki nosijo, spremljajo in oblikujejo slovensko kulturo. Åsikter som uttrycks är skribentens egna.Mars 1958.Charles Keeling gör sin första mätning av koldioxidhalten i atmosfären på Mauna Loa, Hawaii. Mätvärdet är 315 ppm/parts per million. Värdet ligger 35 enheter högre än under förindustriell tid, då halten beräknats ligga runt 280. Kurvan stiger svagt under hela 1800-talet, men efter andra världskriget går lutningen skarpt uppåt.Några månader efter Keelings första mätning – i mitten av juli 1958 – lämnar en liten cell bland miljontals andra explosivt min pappas kropp för att målmedvetet leta sig fram till den väntande värmen i min mammas mage. Det är en het sommar. Kanske var det en tidig, lite sval morgon i vindsrummet på Brunnsgatan i Nyköping precis innan pappa skulle ta bussen till flygflottiljen där han just blivit stamanställd. Mamma skulle kanske strax därefter promenera till dispensären på lasarettet där hon arbetade. Eller så var det semester och de var på besök ute hos det som skulle bli min farmor och farfar i torpet och sov över i utdragssoffan av trä under älgbonaden och oljetrycken med skyddsänglar.Torsdagen den 16 april 1959 föds jag på barnbördshuset på Nyköpings lasarett. Mamma har haft havandeskapsförgiftning – stor, svullen – med en vikt lika hög som tungviktaren Ingemar Johansson. Några månader senare skulle han gå sin berömda match mot Floyd Patterson.Maj 1959, Mauna Loa, koldioxidhalten har stigit till 316 ppm under mammas graviditet.Nu börjar mitt liv på den allt brantare Keelingkurvan. Vi flyttar. Först från rummet med kokplatta, till enrummaren med sovalkov. Sen till tvårummaren med balkong i tvåvåningshuset från 1940-talet. Min bror anländer. Mamma tar oss varje förmiddag till det nyöppnade snabbköpet. En tetrapack med mjölk, havregryn, lite blandfärs, några morötter. Allt får plats i nätkassen. Plastkassar tillhandahålls inte i butikerna förrän i mitten av 1960-talet.1963. Pappa köper familjens första bil, en Vauxhall Victor. Röd och vit. Begagnad såklart, mer räcker inte pengarna till.Pappa gör som alla andra. Bilköp ligger i tiden. Under 1950-talet ökade antalet bilar i Sverige från 250 000 till en miljon. Tio år senare har antalet fördubblats. Och pappa har bytt till en Ford Zephyr. I de sörmländska skogarna ligger de uttjänta bilarna redan tätt.April 1965, Mauna Loa, 320 ppm.Vi flyttar igen. Nybyggt miljonprogram. Fjärde våningen i ett höghus i utkanten av stan. Nu tre rum. Pappa har just sålt insatslägenheten. Det kändes alldeles för osäkert. Tänk om man inte får sina pengar tillbaka? Under höststormen natten den 17 oktober 1967 ligger vi alla i pappas och mammas säng och tittar ut mot himlen. Strömmen har gått, vi har ett värmeljus i fönstret. Dagen efter ligger höghusens takplåtar på marken.På somrarna åker vi och badar i Stavsjön, spelar dart och plockar blåbär. Eller så fiskar vi i Brobyån. Vi har sommarhus nu, hyr en gammal uttjänt statarlänga. Sommarstugeägandet ökar. Ödetorpen är många där ute på landsbygden. Allt fler har ju flyttat till stan.Sjuttiotalet. Mamma läser Tyst vår av Rachel Carson, röstar på Fälldin och talar om 'glada grisar'. Men pappa skakar på huvudet och skrattar när mamma inte vill dricka vattnet i sommarhuset. Pumpen står mitt ute på åkern och godsägaren har just låtit flygbespruta fältet med bekämpningsmedel.Nu bor vi i en fyrarummare, ovanpå ett konditori där man köper lördagsgodis genom att peka genom glasdisken. En sån. Och en sån.1975. 331 ppm. Jag gör min första flygresa. Åker till Lindau am Bodensee med ett gäng svenska ungdomar. Det kallas språkresa och alla vill göra det. ”Det är så bra för språkutvecklingen”, säger Ingegerds mamma. Min mamma nickar instämmande. Det är klart flickan ska få en god utbildning. I den tyska småstadens gränder lär jag mig nattetid en hel del tyska, men också att dricka Jägermeister och dansa bump. I hemstaden öppnar Hennes & Mauritz butik. De expanderar nationellt efter börsintroduktionen 1974. Jag köper en beige täckjacka. Alla andra har likadana.Åttiotalet. Det är nu det händer. Jag har flyttat hemifrån. Min konsumtion ökar drastiskt: resor till London och Italien, linneklänningar och Allessobryggare. Yuppivännerna omkring mig börja inreda sina hem medvetet och metodiskt. Jag hänger inte riktigt med, fattar inte att vi gått in i en samhällelig situation, som släppt pengarna loss. Jag missbedömer allt och tror att det handlar om en individuell utvecklingsfas. Fast jobb, bostadsrätt. Bäbis på väg.Men alla gör likadant. 1987. Nu går det fort. 350 ppm.Det blir äldre villa utanför Malmö, två barn, flytt, tre barn, flytt. Bil, ny större bil, ny bil igen. Nittiotalet och millenieskiftet rusar förbi. Resor till Medelhavet, New York, San Fransisco. Familjen studsar med flyg mellan Paris och Malmö, maken flygpendlar till Stockholm ett par gånger i veckan.Jag planerar mina pensionsfonder. Alla andra gör ju det. Rysslandsfonderna rusar, jag hänger på. Naivt, omedvetet. Stöder Gazprom med mina placeringar, men besinnar mig så småningom, och känner en lättnad när det sent omsider visar sig att värdet är noll och fonderna kraschat.2013: koldioxidhalten passerar 400 ppm. 2016: 403 ppm.Jag står bland uttjänta möbler och flyttkartonger och sorterar efter 23 år i samma lägenhet ett avvecklat familjeliv. Barnen har flyttat. Ett helt liv ska sorteras, säljas, skänkas bort, slängas. En lägenhet, ett vindsförråd, tre källarförråd. När auktionsfirmorna och secondhandorganisationerna fått sitt kommer ett företag som specialiserat sig på att forsla bort det ingen vill ha. 1,1 ton går till tippen. En och en halv lastbil.Jag rannsakar mig själv. Biktar mig. Gråter en del. Räkningen på de 1,1 tonnen är 10 000 kronor. Jag ser det som en rättmätig skuldsedel.Är jag skyldig?Självklart är jag skyldig.Jag tillhör den del av jordens befolkning som levt hela sina liv i en ständigt accelererande välståndsökning som passerat rimlighetens gräns och landat i en förgörande överkonsumtion. Min skuld kan jag inte skaka av mig. Skuld handlar om verifierbara fakta. Har jag medverkat till de stigande utsläppen av växthusgaser – eller har jag inte medverkat till dom?Men skammen då? Ska jag skämmas nu när eftertankens kranka blekhet inträtt.Nej, jag kan inte skämmas över det jag gjort. Jag visste inte bättre. Jag var en kugge i ett samhällsmaskineri. Jag kan givetvis skämmas över min aningslöshet. Jag borde nog vetat bättre.Men jag gjorde som alla andra. Så jag blir villkorligt frigiven.Villkoret, då? Jag måste skämmas för det jag gör idag. Jag kan inte med rent samvete låtsas som att jag inte är med om att bära skulden. Jag kan inte med rent samvete fortsätta som att ingenting har hänt, eller som att ingenting kommer att hända. Jag har en individuell skyldighet – som en liten del av mänskligheten – att ta mitt ansvar. Allt annat är bortförklaringar.Våren 2025, då jag fyllde 66 år, passerade koldioxidhalten i atmosfären för första gången 430 ppm. 11. februarja 2026 je umrl Cees Nooteboom, nizozemski pesnik, pisatelj, potopisec, esejist. Bil je eden izmed osrednjih literatov ne le na Nizozemskem, ampak v svetovnem merilu, zadnja leta na vrhu lestvice kandidatov za Nobelovo nagrado. V slovenščini lahko beremo njegove romane Rituali, Naslednja zgodba, Vsi sveti in Raj, izgubljeni. Ta je izšel pred desetimi leti v okviru festivala Fabula založbe Beletrina in Cees Nooteboom je bil eden izmed gostov. Tadeja Krečič Scholten ga je povabila pred mikrofon. Pesnik Brane Senegačnik je podkovan v teoriji poezije in njeni praksi, vešč tudi tradicionalnih oblik, zlasti soneta, a verzi njegovih mističnih pejsažev tečejo mirno valujoče kot omamno prelivajoče se skladbe: zvenijo pritajeno in se oglašajo tiho, le včasih imajo ritem karminaste trobente, barvo bledo vijoličnega jezika grozdov glicinij, hipnotično lahkotnost zlatih brez v snežni noči, kakor morska pena razlivajočih se občutkov in melodijo hlepečih sledov plohe po asfaltu, sledov tolikih življenj. Ko bolečina kot zvok božjih črk stopi s papirja v prostor pesnikove tišine, si ga v žadasti svetlobi za vselej prilasti. »Tako preprosto je to. Tako resnično.« Mistični pejsaži so nastajali v prav določenih trenutkih pesnikovega občutja, kar razkriva vsaka pesem posebej. Čeprav so pesnikovi asketsko zabeleženi zapisi nastajali v daljšem časovnem razponu, kar kažejo tudi občasne medijske objave, imajo vse v tej pesniški zbirki enak naslov Mistični pejsaži, dodana jim je le številka. Skoraj tisoč se jih je nabralo v pesnikovem predalu, za objavo v pričakovano minimalistično oblikovani knjigi – kot si jo je zamislil Lucijan Bratuš – je izbranih le sto dvajset, zadnja ima številko 981. Čeprav je bila urednica knjige Miljana Cunta, jih je verjetno izbral pesnik sam, zavedajoč se, da se pravi trenutki odvijajo v notranjem spominu, ne glede na sosledje resničnih dogodkov, ki premočrtno odtekajo v za vedno izgubljeno minulost. Za objavo vsake pesmi v knjigi čas in prostor nista bila pomembna. V spremnem besedilu Neizrekljiva svetloba Senegačnikovega jutra Milček Komelj začenja svoj dolgi poetični zapis z mislijo, da so ti mistični pejsaži resnično z mistiko prepojene pesniške krajinske slike. S svojo razlago nas kot umetnostni zgodovinar in pesnik pospremi v nežno zamišljene in poetično krhke, ritmično uglašene proste verze. Klasični filolog, prevajalec, raziskovalec grške tragedije in literarni teoretik Brane Senegačnik je v bistvu najbolj pesnik. Pesnik po duši, v zadnjih petintridesetih letih eden redkih, ki je poleg modernističnega toka zavesti v prostem verzu vstopal tudi v svet tradicionalnih pesniških oblik. Od leta 1991 do danes je izšlo devet njegovih pesniških zbirk, dve sta bili nagrajeni. Za zbirko Pogovori z nikomer (Slovenska matica, 2019) je leta 2021 prejel nagrado Prešernovega sklada, za zbirko Prosojnosti (Celjska Mohorjeva družba, 2024) pa lani Jenkovo nagrado, najvišje priznanje za poezijo Društva slovenskih pisateljev. Med sodobnimi slovenskimi pesniki je Senegačnik samohodec, lirik, v občutenju življenja prisegajoč na hipno občutje lastne biti, prisluškujoč svoji najgloblji notranjosti. Nihče v lastni poeziji ni prvi izumil odsotnosti, tišine in minljivosti, tudi Senegačnik ne, čeprav ostaja neovrgljivo dejstvo, da razmišljanje in upesnjevanje lastnih spoznanj nesporno vsakomur omogoča, da bolje razume sebe. S svojo lirsko, v vsaki zbirki bolj minimalistično izreko želi avtor s potopitvijo v globine bivanjskih izkušenj doseči popolnost. Kot vsak pravi pesnik. Življenje, ki edino stoji nasproti minevanju, postane v njegovi liriki samosvoje središče. Osredotočanje na čisto poetično postane tisto 'sem' v njegovi najgloblji notranjosti. Jezik kot izvor absolutnega, ki je v lirskem subjektu pred pisanjem, pa postane pesniška materija, ki jo mora do bistva globoko občutiti, da lahko oblikuje svoje lirične sledi. Osnovno poslanstvo Senegačnikove poezije je skozi potapljanje v tišino nenehno seganje k neizrekljivemu, včasih manj, drugič bolj odkrito. Vsak njegov verz je drobec, ki upa, da ne bo izginil v nič, a ko so skozi njegov pogled vsi tu in v določenem trenutku plameníjo nedolžnost sveta, bralca vendarle vabijo k lastni, neobremenjeni interpretaciji. V resnici gre predvsem za intimno in nežno serenado bitnosti, neločljivo povezano s svojo odsotnostjo in minljivostjo. Téma narave, ki jo Senegačnik s svetlobnimi odtenki občutij postavlja v središče različno dolgih pesmi v prejšnji zbirki Prosojnosti, je nenavadno občutljiva, krhka. Njegovi verzi v tej zbirki – enkrat abstraktni, drugič bolj figuralno določljivi – so sestavljeni z nenehnim preigravanjem z oblikami in subtilnim prehajanjem prostih verzov. Dihov besed. Pesnik je nasproti večnemu gibanju, valovanju in minljivosti bivanja postavil milino odsevov, ki presevajo njegove izpesnjene (pris)podobe. Vsaka pesem zbirke je ločen ambientalni kader, ki ga v objemu brezčasnosti hkrati navdajata izrazito čustven naboj in melanholija. Tudi v zbirki Mistični pejsaži je narava sprehajališče Senegačnikovih verzov. Samo brezgrajno občutje in odprto notranje oko zmoreta uzreti skrito življenje v čarobni paleti letnih časov in ga narediti vidnega za svet, žejen lepote. Vpliv filozofije na Senegačnikovo pesniško ustvarjanje je in je bil pomemben vse od začetka, kajti ne le brati, filozofija uči tudi razmišljati in pisati. V njegovi do kraja zreducirani minimalistični izreki bralcu ponuja slutnjo skrivnosti, iz katere smo prišli in v katero se vračamo. »Življenje je čudež, smrt modrost,« je v knjigi Štirje obrazi duše leta 2000 zapisal slikar in mislec Maksim Sedej ml., ki je vse življenje iskal modrost vsega bivajočega. Bil je prepričan, da sodobni svet ni naklonjen iskanju resnice, da beseda tehnika zabriše besedo znanost, da seksualnost zabriše besedo ljubezen. Današnji problem ni več iskanje ali najdenje, temveč sinteza najvišjega duhovnega in znanstvenega spoznanja človeštva. Zdi se, da Senegačnik v zbirki Mistični pejsaži v tem kontekstu božje umešča v neznane daljave, v nekakšno nebeško večnost in neskončnost: »Trave ti segajo do brade, / jutro preko misli // to pomeni / dotikati se zvezd s temenom / z vsemi usti svojega molčanja / peti hozána«. Božjo besedo, ki se bere vsak dan pri sveti maši kot brevir in misal. Namesto časa je nad občutljivim pesnikom nebo. Misel je v današnjem svetu navzoča in poimenovana na mnogo načinov, ima mnogo besed, izrazov, imen. Ta njena navzočnost je ključno, esencialno vprašanje. Šele z zavedanjem te navzočnosti, ko sprejme božje kot svoje bistvo, se Senegačnik kot lirski subjekt osvobaja. Šele takrat lahko popolnoma osvobodi tudi svojo misel in se zave svoje vloge v tem svetu, kajti eno je gotovo: to, kar pride na koncu, nima ne glasu ne konca. Senegačnikova poezija s svojo intimno izrazno močjo je korak k sebi in hkrati v neizogiben onkraj sebe: »Dolga smrt // v zreli julijski svetlobi, / v gosti senci akacijevih vej / tik ob neki vodi. // Nevidna kot misli. / Neizbežna / in negotova / kot je to, da si.«

Z nami je bil dr. Jože Duhovnik. Njegova poklicna in življenjska pot je izredno bogata. Doktoriral je na Fakulteti za strojništvo, kjer je bil pozneje redni profesor in dekan. Profesorsko pot je prepletal s sodelovanjem z gospodarstvom, njegovi izvedeni projekti pa delujejo na vseh celinah. Aktivno je sodeloval pri demokratizaciji Slovenije v osamosvojitvenih procesih in v vojni za Slovenijo. Bil je član, podpredsednik in predsednik mnogih upravnih organov pomembnih slovenskih podjetij in eden od soorganizatorjev in mecen dveh tradicionalnih počastitev državnih praznikov.

Kajti če jih nekaj zares zanima in to delajo z veseljem, delo postane hobij. S tem in tako imajo seveda tudi voljo. Tam, kjer je volja, je tudi moč in to pomeni, da ni težko v taki simbiozi najti tudi disciplino, ker rad delaš tudi poskrbiš za pravi ritem in na dolgi rok ne utruja telesa in misli ter prinaša tudi rezultat.

Piše Miša Gams, bereta Eva Longyka Marušič in Aleksander Golja. Roman Vanja je zadnji del Möderndorferjeve trilogije, ki vključuje še romana Odštevanje ter Zvezda, žlica in ura. Čeprav se trojica vsebinsko, vsaj na prvi pogled, ne navezuje druga na drugo, lahko med njimi opazimo vzporednice: posledice, ki so jih v protagonistih pustili druga svetovna vojna in njihov ambivalenten odnos s svojci oz. predniki. Da se travme, ki jih doživljajo junaki vseh treh romanov, raztezajo vse tja do prve svetovne vojne, je najbolj razvidno prav iz zgodbe, ki jo razkriva roman Vanja. V nasprotju s prejšnjima romanoma, ki se odvijeta v 24 urah, v njem sledimo celotnemu življenju rdečelasega Ivana, edinega sina očeta, ki ga je zaznamovala vojna v Galiciji in jo v trenutkih vinjenosti izpoveduje otrokom: “Včasih smo bili tako lačni, da smo v blatnih jarkih s tal pobirali bruhanje svojih kolegov. Bruhke smo natikali na zobotrebce in jih jedli. Nad nami pa so švigale granate. Mreža neprekinjenega streljanja. Tik nad glavami. Nič posebnega ni bilo, če je tvojemu najboljšemu kameradu nenadoma odtrgalo pol obraza. Sploh me ni več prizadelo. Kot da je to nekaj običajnega. In je tudi bilo. Saj se je dogajalo vsak dan. Po sovražnikovem napadu, ko je bilo nekaj miru, sem se moral temeljito pogledati. Bil sem ves krvav in umazan od razcefranega človeškega mesa … Moral sem preveriti, če kri ni ni moja, če meso ni moje, če čreva, ki mi visijo na ramah niso moja …” Ivan zre na življenje skozi očetove oči v prepričanju, da lahko največ gorja povzročijo vraževerni sovaščani, ki v rdečelasem sosedu vidijo večjega sovražnika kot v kolonialistično razpoloženih nacistih in fašistih. Po materini smrti in očetovem odhodu iz družine se znajde na bojišču preigravanja medgeneracijskih travm, ki se iz primarne družine prenašajo v drugo in tretjo družino. Če se osrednji lik romana Odštevanje začne spopadati z družinskimi travmami šele v četrtem desetletju svojega življenja, ko tudi prvič spozna svojega biološkega očeta, se protagonist romana Vanja Ivan že zelo zgodaj začne spraševati, kako nanj vpliva preteklost staršev in starejših sester, ki se v boju za preživetje zatekajo k najrazličnejšim rešitvam, od pajdašenja z vojnim zločincem do izumljanja terapevtskih pravljic in neprekinjenega posta. Spomine na primarno družino mu pomaga zatreti šele skrivnostna Ana, ki izhaja iz družine dveh gluhonemih sester in očeta, ki so ga odpeljali na Goli otok, kar je tudi stična točka z romanom Zvezda, žlica in ura. V njem se protagonistka s sinom po več letih znajde v stanovanju, obkrožena s predmeti očeta, ki je večino življenja preživel v italijanskem taborišču, domobranski celici belgijske kasarne, mariborskem zaporu in na Golem otoku. Vendar pa med zadnjima romanoma trilogije obstaja prepoznavna distinkcija – prvi se odvija ob stiku s predmeti, ki sprožijo asociativno verigo spominov na preteklost, se zadnji v celoti odvija skozi pogovore še živečih ljudi, ki z Ivanom posredno razrešujejo dogodke iz svoje preteklosti. Ivan tako z željo po novem začetku posvoji Aninega sina in se preseli v dom njene matere, vendar po nizu nespametnih poslovnih odločitev in nerazčiščenih družinskih odnosov konča na Psihiatrični kliniki, kjer z zdravnico počasi predeluje svoje življenje in zbira pogum za obisk svojih otrok. Möderndorfer se tako kot v prejšnjih romanih tudi v tem pokaže kot rahločuten pripovedovalec, ki niza različne segmente osebne zgodovine glavnega junaka, ki v nekem trenutki doživi psihotični zlom. V prepričanju, da mu že ves čas sledijo organi pregona v stilu nekdanje Udbe, se odpravi na Upravo javne varnosti, kjer ima veličasten monolog: “Mene ne morete strpati na Goli otok, jaz sem se rodil leta tisoč devetsto devetintrideset, bil sem premlad, kaj pa sem jaz vedel, kdo je to Stalin, mene ne, mene ne morete. Ker jaz nisem noben komunist, jaz sem brat shirane sestre in sin vojaka prve svetovne vojne in odlikovanega heroja osvobodilne fronte, to je bil moj ata, zdaj pa me poslušajte: jaz nisem kriv, da je moja sestra poročena z vojnim zločincem, če je to problem, potem ga lahko rešimo takoj, samo pustite moj tovornjak pri miru, to so moje roke, moja prihodnost, vse sem žrtvoval, hčerke sploh ne vidim, včeraj se je rodila, še malo, pa bo končala osnovno šolo, navrtali ste mi možgane, da preskakujem čas, razumete, hočem, da se to neha, nikogar ne bom izdal, jaz ne, jaz že ne, če je to problem, me raje ubijte, dovolj je trpela moja ljuba Ana, pa njen oče, mučenik v komunističnih zaporih, sveti Duh in on, ki se je slačil pred mano, saj vem, tako daleč to sega, vse veste, dvignil je svoj duhovniški talar in pod njim je imel velikega kurca, če je to problem, da se nisem umaknil, je to problem?” Möderndorfer v romanu Vanja prikaže, kako v protagonistovem, nezavednem deluje mehanizem potlačitve pa tudi na kakšen način se v posameznih slojih nalagata osebna in kolektivna zgodovina. V romanu Odštevanje je pokazal, na kakšen način se protagonist, ki se nahaja v obdobju tranzicije, ob očetovih spominih premika k izvoru samega sebe oziroma svoje družine, v romanu Zvezda, žlica in ura se sprašuje o sami naravi resnice in spomina, v romanu Vanja, ki ima podnaslov Kratek roman o predolgem življenju, pa razkriva zakulisje družinske travme, ki se je materializirala v rdečelasem “grešnem kozlu”. Zdi se, da je ta vse življenje izbiral napačne odločitve, da bi se lahko nezavedno poistovetil s predniki, ki so končali v zaporih ali na takšnih in drugačnih moriščih. Čeprav gre v prvi vrsti za roman o tem, do kam lahko človeka privedeta zgodnja smrt matere in želja po poistovetenju z očetom, pa nam roman Vanja nudi tudi pogled v shizofrenijo sodobnega časa in v nevrozo, ki jo puščajo za sabo nepredelane zgodovinske travme, ki jih iz dneva v dan preigravamo tako na političnem bojišču kot v vsakdanjem življenju.

Arhitekt in industrijski oblikovalec Saša J Mächtig, ki so mu letos podelili Prešernovo nagrado, je diplomiral na Fakulteti za arhitekturo v Ljubljani pri prof. Edvardu Ravnikarju. Bil je zaslužen za to, da se je leta 2002 ljubljanska Akademija za likovno umetnost preimenovala v Akademijo za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje. Leta 1967 je zasnoval kiosk K67, ki je bil v uporabi po vsej Jugoslaviji in širše, na primer na olimpijadi v Münchnu, kiosk pa so že leta 1970 vključili v zbirko Muzeja moderne umetnosti v New Yorku. Prešernovo nagrado so mu podelili, kot so poudarili v utemeljitvi, za življenjski opus, ki je vzpostavil temelj slovenske sodobne oblikovalske identitete. Pred dnevi je umrl dolgoletni predsednik Krščanske kulturne zveze Janko Zerzer. Bil je dolgoletni profesor na Slovenski gimnaziji in ravnatelj Višje šole v Št. Petru je bil ljubitelj glasbe, pevec, pobudnik številnih novosti, avtor, politik, predsednik raznih društev in ne nazadnje družinski oče in dedi. Od leta 1971 do 1983 je bil podpredsednik, od leta 1983 do 2010 pa predsednik Krščanske kulturne zveze v Celovcu. Leta 2019 je za življenjsko delo na kulturnem, političnem, publicističnem in pedagoškem področju prejel Tischlerjevo nagrado

Krščanska kulturna zveza iz Celovca in Slovenski narodopisni inštitut Urban Jarnik sta sporočila, da je umrl dr. Janko Zerzer, dolgoletni predsednik Krščanske kulturne zveze, profesor na Slovenski gimnaziji in ravnatelj Višje šole v Št. Petru. Bil je ljubitelj glasbe, pevec, pobudnik številnih novosti, avtor, politik, predsednik raznih društev in ne nazadnje družinski oče in dedi. Leta 2019 je za življenjsko delo na kulturnem, političnem, publicističnem in pedagoškem področju prejel Tischlerjevo nagrado. Med pobudami dr. Janka Zerzerja je tudi iniciativa Slovenščina v družini, ki naj bi posebej opozarjala na važnost in lepoto narečja, ki ga moremo ohranjati samo v družinah. Na pedagoškem področju bi težko našli funkcijo, ki je Anton Baloh v minulih 44 letih, kolikor je dolga njegova pedagoška kariera, ne bi opravljal. Bil je skorajda vse, od razrednega učitelja na začetku svoje poklicne poti do ravnatelja osnovne šole na koncu, z vmesnimi postajami na vodstvenih položajih več šol in javnih zavodov. Bil je tudi svetovalec župana in glavni tajnik univerze ter šolski inšpektor. Skupaj s svojimi vsakokratnimi sodelavci si je prizadeval, da bi mladi iz šolskih klopi odnesli čim več znanja in lepih spominov. Številna priznanja dokazujejo, da mu je to v veliki meri tudi uspelo. Konec lanskega leta se je upokojil, zato ga je Jasna Preskar povabila, da poslušalcem predstavi svoje bogate izkušnje in tudi prihodnje načrte.

As we mourn the tragic loss of sixteen pure neshamot who were killed in Sydney, Australia, we are reminded once again that in every generation they rise up against us. We are reminded that we are still in galut, yearning for the coming of the Mashiach, when we will no longer experience terror or sadness. Those who were murdered al kidush Hashem are now in the highest realms of Gan Eden, basking in the radiance of the Shechinah. Their friends and families, however, are left reeling from the tragedy, struggling to understand how their loved ones could be taken in such a horrific way. As we begin the holiday of Chanukah, we must internalize that although it is impossible for us to comprehend the ways of Hashem in this world, we know this is yet another part of His master plan. Hashem is the One who takes lives, and He is the One who will restore them. He has always protected us throughout the generations, though at times we needed to experience forms of affliction beforehand. He is the One who obliterated the Egyptians after they enslaved us for centuries. He saved us from Amalek when we were caught off guard. He saved us from Balak and Bil'am whcen we did not even know how much danger we were in. He saved us from Sanheriv's army, killing 185,000 soldiers in a single night without us lifting a finger. He saved us from the hands of Haman and Ahashverosh. The mighty Greeks issued decrees to tear us away from our Torah. They, like all the other nations, were jealous of our connection to Hashem and sought to destroy it. And once again, Hashem sent heavenly assistance to His people to defeat the strongest empire in the world. The celebration of Chanukah was not that we were physically saved. The celebration was that the light of our Torah and mitzvot was going to continue shining brightly. To make it clear that it is our Torah and mitzvot that are the most precious things we have in this world, Hashem made an additional miracle and kept the flames of the menorah burning for eight days and nights. Our nation is eternal. Our adherence to Torah and mitzvot are the keys to our success. Our response to tragedy must be to redouble our efforts in the performance of mitzvot. A small amount of light can push away a large amount of darkness. Right now, a thick cloud of darkness hovers over us. We ache for our brothers and sisters who are deeply affected by this devastating event. A time of joy has turned into one of grief. We must empathize with those in pain, pray for the injured, and beseech Hashem to console the mourners. We must also use this moment as a personal calling to come closer to Hashem. It will be our collective efforts that bring about the greatest day in history—the day of Bila HaMavet LaNetsach, Umachah Hashem Dima Me'al Kol Panim. The day when there will be no more death, and Hashem Himself will wipe away the tears of all who have suffered. For now, we are still in the dark. But the candles we light on Chanukah will pierce that darkness. Every mitzvah we perform and every word of Torah we learn adds more light to the world. Let us linger a bit longer by the nerot Chanukah, praying for those who are suffering. Let us devote more time to our families, offering chizuk and inspiration to help them grow in the ways of Hashem. Our Torah and mitzvot are our greatest tools. May we be zocheh to witness the greatest light of all—the Or of the Mashiah. Then all the nations of the world will recognize the glory of Hashem and understand that we are His treasured children.
