At first, I was somewhat confused at Brooke Norton-Cuffy's recall from Rotherham to transfer to Coventry City, but after watching him play 2 matches there, it's clear Arsenal want him to learn how to play as an inverted right back. 2 matches in, and BNC is already much improved. Charlie Patino and Miguel Azeez will have to learn what life is like under new management. Folarin Balogun continues to score goals weekly. The frustrating lack of playing time continues for all 3 of our loanees in the Netherlands. And Arthur Okonkwo and Ovie Ejeheri make major moves to top flight clubs for the 2nd half of the season. After a month hiatus, Hale End Productions goes 1 by 1 through all 18 loanees plus one extra special academy player who's shining bright (it's not who you think). The highlights of the season have been Folarin Balogun's 8 goals in Ligue 1, Charlie Patino's defensive prowess and progressive passing, Brooke Norton-Cuffy's domination on the right side of the pitch, Arthur Okonkwo's penalty saves and a whole lot more. Away From Hale End is back and better than ever, going back to our once a week episodes.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy shines for Rotherham in a new position on the left flank. Charlie Patino is dominating every midfield he comes up against. First touches leaving defenders in the dust. Switches of field spurring counter attacks. Shots outside the box finding the corner. Tackling the ball off the opposition with ease. Stepping into passing lanes. You name it! Folarin Balogun keeps scoring goals, this time a goal that will remind many Gooners of Thierry Henry. Mazeed Ogungbo makes his return to the squad after a month away and Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand gets closer to his senior debut.
Charlie Patino gets put to the test in a hectic, physical, and frantic Championship matchup with then top of the table Sheffield United. Patino stood tall to the task and impressed. Season 2 of Away From Hale End starts off with a bang! I discuss my love for this Charlie Patino loan move to Blackpool, where he'll work alongside the same manager Brooke Norton-Cuffy did last year. A chance for Patino to prove himself in the Championship and bring that energy back to Arsenal next season. Also, Folarin Balogun gets his move to Reims FC in Ligue 1 where he'll get his first consistent taste of top flight football and Marcelo Flores looked unbelievable in his friendly debut for Real Oviedo. It's not just those 3 stars, but Okonkwo and Ogungbo got their much needed loan moves, as well as Nikolaj Moller continuing to bag goals for Den Bosch in preseason. The Championship, League 1, League 2, and the Scottish Premiership and Championship have all begun, so I breakdown the performances of the likes of Alebiosu, John-Jules, and more! Mika Biereth has exploded in preseason with RKC Waalwijk, scoring 5 goals and adding 1 assist in just 4 games. He's already scored with both feet, his head, and from the penalty spot, as well as exhibiting his excellent link-up play skills. Biereth isn't the only one hitting the ground running on loan, as Nikolaj Moller and Omar Rekik both have scored for their loan clubs and Harry Clarke assisted a goal in his Stoke City debut. There are 7 Hale Enders on loan so far, and likely more to come. Stay tuned... --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Brooke Norton-Cuffy and England U19s beat Italy to make it to the finals of the European Championship. It wasn't BNC's best performance in the semi-final, but it allows for room to grow and show his mental fortitude in the next match. Also, Daniel Ballard's Burnley move turned sour and has found himself at Sunderland on a 4-year deal. Lastly, Nikolaj Moller has returned to FC Den Bosch on loan. Moller asked Arsenal to send him back there so he could find some consistency and prove his value to the club. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
