Kido Taylor-Hart, once a highly regarded prospect at Arsenal, has encountered challenges in his development, hindered by injuries and limited opportunities compared to his peers. Currently on loan at National League side Bromley, alongside Arsenal's Alex Kirk, Taylor-Hart's playing time has been sparse, with only two league starts this season. Despite this, he achieved a milestone by scoring his first senior goal, a late equalizer against Woking, showcasing his talent and potential for more significant contributions. As Bromley pursues promotion, Taylor-Hart's role in the team's season climax could be pivotal. Looking ahead, Taylor-Hart may need to seek opportunities outside of Arsenal to secure regular playing time, with a strong end to the season potentially attracting interest from other clubs. Should WordPress move away from Slack and towards the fediverse for project communication? Automattic-sponsored Meta team contributor Alex Kirk thinks so. Kirk has proposed a project to explore switching to the free Matrix open-source federated chat system. The potential benefits are compelling. For one, there's something to be said for open-source projects supporting each other. Beyond that, easier onboarding and a variety of available chat clients were also touted. https://youtu.be/dq23lJBYtpM Sarah Gooding of WP Tavern demonstrated some of these advantages in a recent article. And Kirk's team has also created a Gutenberg block, Chatrix, that embeds a Matrix chat client directly into any WordPress website.Slack, meanwhile, has long been the chosen platform for project communication. A move to Matrix will certainly face both technical and philosophical hurdles. We'll keep you updated as the discussion progresses.Introducing The WP Minute +The WP Minute's goal is to bring you the latest WordPress news in just 5 minutes a week. Folarin Balogun is BACK with a BANG. Flo scored a brace against 3rd place Stade Rennes in Stade de Reims return from the World Cup break. Charlie Patino continues to anchor a much improved Blackpool midfield. Ovie Ejeheri and Arthur Okonkwo continue to shine in between the goal posts. Brooke Norton-Cuffy shines for Rotherham in a new position on the left flank. BNC's skillset flourished in the half-spaces, as his in-swinging crosses, left-footed passes, and technical prowess made for an easy transition into a new role. Folarin Balogun scores again for Reims, his 8th goal of the season. Alex Kirk scores again, his 2nd goal in 4 matches as Ayr United stay top of the league. Omar Rekik returns from injury just in time for the World Cup. Ovie Ejeheri stands on his head again as Chelmsford stay alive in the FA Cup. All that and more as I update you on all 18 Hale End players on loan!
Charlie Patino is dominating every midfield he comes up against. First touches leaving defenders in the dust. Switches of field spurring counter attacks. Shots outside the box finding the corner. Tackling the ball off the opposition with ease. Stepping into passing lanes. You name it! Folarin Balogun keeps scoring goals, this time a goal that will remind many Gooners of Thierry Henry. Marcelo Flores and Nikolaj Moller get their first assists of the season and Alex Kirk gets his first senior goal. Tyreece John-Jules continues to be a Swiss army knife in attack for a dominant Ipswich side and Ryan Alebiousu provides the impetus for Kilmarnock. Mazeed Ogungbo makes his return to the squad after a month away and Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand gets closer to his senior debut.
