JR and Jose are back! After the podcast had to take a break because JR got orders from the US Navy to return to base. On season 3, episode 7, the Backroad Journey Podcast welcomes the Drew Zavala Photography.  Drew was  raised in King City, CA . and graduated from King City High School in 2010. Drew went from different jobs such as; Legal Process Server, Macy's, Oil Fields and more before  focusing on photography. In the year 2013, Drew bought his camera and began practicing with it. Drew learned a lot from YouTube on how to photograph. Drew was on his way to becoming a full time photographer but COVID hit and things changed. Ray was born to two immigrant parents (dad from India and mom from Mexico).  Ray sold cars, dressed as a luchador for a radio station, worked at game stop, sold gym memberships, and did massages. Ray was very thin in high school and wanted to build his confidence by working out. After doing different jobs, Ray decided to own his own gym. Ray bought his own building and works for himself. Brenda is an entreprenuer, dancer, actress, and project manger.  Brenda is a cali girl that escaped the gang lifestyle by falling in love with dance and the arts. At a very young age, Brenda knew that she did not want to live the lifestyle that her older brothers had chosen. Brenda invested her time and escaped the problems at home by dancing it off zapateando. Gradually, Brenda love for folklorico became love for dance, then love for acting, performing and artistic expression. Brenda upbringing and challenges she faced were always motivating factors to overachieve and to go beyond the stereotypes expected of her. As the only girl in her family, Brenda has rebelled alot of cultural expectancies and broken through social standards. Brenda proudly carries her independence, use her life experience and operate her passion  to continue venturing new challenges and accomplishing goals.
