"The Holy Martyrs of China were native Chinese Orthodox Christians brought up in piety at the Russian Orthodox Mission in Peking, which had been founded in 1685. During the Boxer Rebellion of 1900 against the foreign powers occupying China, native Chinese Christians were commanded by the Boxers to renounce Christianity or be tortured to death. Two hundred and twenty-two members of the Peking Mission, led by their priest Metrophanes Tsi-Chung and his family, refused to deny Christ, and were deemed worthy of a martyric death." It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show super cool Brian demo, as Brian noticed a few things going on on the Innosearch and a long over due accessibility web improvement to amazon on the Mac. Brian starts off discussing the newly implemented under $25 fees that are appearing on Innosearch. He walks you through a demo of searching for Men's Boxers, adding to the cart, and then the new under $25 handling fee Innosearch has implemented. Next he demos the bizarre behavior on Innosearch after you decide to look for a second product. These demos are done on the Mac using Safari. You may experience different behavior on the PC or in Chrome or other browsers on the Mac. Brian then goes over to Amazon to demo the very positive and long over due heading and screen reader navigation improvements in safari on the Mac. We now have keyboard shortcuts on the Mac that actually work in most places. Brian walks you through navigating search results in Amazon which still leave much to be desired, and then he shows you how searching directly for a product in Google might get you to the product page directly faster. Brian attempts to use the keyboard shortcut built in to Amazon to get a product description, and when it fails to work, he then demos the fantastic new heading structure on amazon.com. He then demos how quick and simple it is to add a product to your cart with the keyboard shortcut. Welcome to another episode of Death Don't Do Fiction, the AIPT Movies podcast! The podcast about the enduring legacy of our favorite movies! It's May, which means it's time for the AIPT Movies podcast's “Mayhem” series! Where we cover movies that kick ass in the literal sense! In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and guest Tony Sedani discuss John Woo's 1997 maximalist action-drama classic, Face/Off! Healing lasers! A face floating in medical grade goo! An evil-looking mustache! Troubling goth makeup! Danny Masterson getting beat up for being a creep! A heart attack-inducing evil stare! Chekhov's butterfly knife! Snazzy suits and golden guns! Reused props from the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie! Castor Troy's box of fun! Child endangerment! Awkward use of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow!" Efficient establishment of a bitter rivalry! Lengthy explanations of illogical pseudo science! Copious melodrama! Possibly the least subtle use of mirrors you've ever seen! Random sci-fi elements! Highly quotable lines! Bold parenting strategies! Hand waterfalls! Multiple amazing action set-pieces including an opening sequence that lesser movies would save for the finale! Environmental destruction, explosions, stunts, and sparks for days! Legendary filmmaker John Woo let loose with a big Hollywood budget, delivering a dose of pure cinematic adrenaline, that despite its somewhat silly reputation is a masterclass in action filmmaking! All that plus Nicolas Cage and John Travolta perfectly matching each other's crazy in the best body swap movie ever made! Come for the overacting, stay for the over-the-top action! In addition, the gang shares their spoiler-free thoughts on Mortal Kombat II with Karl Urban, The Punisher: One Last Kill, Robert Rodriguez's Once Upon a Time In Mexico, Hokum, Ben Affleck's Live by Night, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Paul W. 2am on a Tuesday. Daughter sick. Bathroom dark. Boxers. Wet stuffed giraffe. 18-month-old supervising from the doorway with the expression of a senior consultant reviewing a deliverable. In the middle of it, Tom had a very clear view of his month. Product launch. Upcoming heart surgery. Ultra marathon training. The business. Being present at home. None of it relevant. This was the job. In this episode he talks about the version of himself that would have handled that night very differently — not in the bathroom, but in the days that followed. The familiar pattern of pushing through on nothing, white-knuckling the day after, patience thinning, quality of thinking dropping, recovery taking longer than it should. That's resilience. Absorb the hit and keep going. And it sounds like toughness — until you notice that absorbing hits repeatedly without anything actually adapting just means accumulating damage you haven't fully accounted for yet. Tom learned resilience in the military. In that context, it's exactly right. But running a business while training, while being a husband and a father and refusing to let any of those things become just words — that's not the military. And grizzing it out every time something goes sideways doesn't build anything. It just costs you slowly until one day the engine is less reliable than it was. This episode is about what he's been building instead. Topics covered: - Why resilience is armour — and why armour has a weight limit - The difference between absorbing pressure and being built by it - What it looks like when decisions get cleaner under load rather than murkier - Why the hard week ends and you're not carrying the residue into the next one - Why understanding this concept changes nothing — and what does - The question worth sitting with about what happens to your performance after pressure lands

On episode 228 I am delighted to be joined by boxing coaching legend Zaur Antia, known as 'the mastermind behind Team Ireland's success in boxing' he served as High Performance Head Coach for Irish boxing for over two decades, helping build Ireland into a global boxing powerhouse. We discuss his approach, philosophy, building better boxers, pre fight protocol, how he helped build Ireland into a boxing powerhouse, what separates olympic champions from the rest and how Irish weather helped bring home two gold medals!! This is a lesson in building champion boxers and a world class program. Zauri grew up in Georgia and won medals competing as an athlete. He would later coach multiple boxers to Soviet titles. In 2003 he moved to Ireland and joined the newly established High-Performance Unit as a Technical Coach. In 2016 he took over as HP lead. Anita guided Irish boxers to winning 35 qualification places at five Olympic Games: Beijing, London, Rio, Tokyo and Paris, winning 10 Olympic medals. On top of that he helped his athletes with 23 World podium finishes, and 15 medals at European Games and 50 European Elite medals. We broke down the most overrated and underrated exercises for boxing—and ranked them from S tier to F tier.Because the reality is… most boxers are strength training completely wrong. Not based on trends. Not based on what looks cool.Based on what actually carries over into the ring.We talk about:• What exercises actually build punching power• What most fighters are wasting time on• Why strength training should NOT look like boxing• The biggest mistakes fighters make in the gym• And the one thing almost nobody trains… but shouldWe also talk about:• Why most people fail fat loss even when they “know what to do”• The role of consistency vs perfection• How to actually build a sustainable nutrition approach• Why accountability matters early—but not forever• And how to individualize your diet so it actually works for youIf you box, coach, or train fighters—this will change how you think about training.Find Andreas on Instagram:@andreas_chrysouliotis
Dana White is world famous for turning UFC into a global juggernaut; making some powerful friends - and some powerful enemies - along the way. He's now bringing his unique brand of strategic shock therapy to the world of boxing, where it's fair to say that not everybody is enjoying the challenge. Last month Conor Benn, a very familiar face to Uncensored viewers, left Eddie Hearn's Matchroom to join Dana's Zuffa Boxing - a decision which left Eddie furious. And today, it was announced that Dana's heavyweight Tom Aspinall is going over to Matchroom… Dana joins Piers to chat about whether he would fight Eddie, who's going to be in the UFC White House event, getting sued by Frank Warren and more! Along the way Dave reads Spotify comments (including kratom taper talk and new listeners coming from the Billy Strings episode), shares a voicemail story about meth, a blow-up with in-laws, and a late-season Sonoran Desert toad that leads to a 5-MeO-DMT “purge.” The replay captures early Dopey's exhausted, bickering chemistry—cookies vs donuts, quitting cigarettes, Gloucester “chowder” nonsense—and Dave closes by reflecting on the early origin of “toodles,” asking for voicemails, problems, and more phony phone calls. Justin Bieber Biography Flash a weekly Biography.Hey Beliebers, its your girl Roxie Rush here on Justin Bieber Biography Flash, and hey, Im an AI which means I scour the web faster than Justin grabs a courtside seat, delivering you the hottest, verified scoops without missing a beat. Picture this: just days ago on Tuesday, February 24, Marca reports Justin was at Crypto.com Arena catching the Lakers versus Orlando Magic game, rocking black pants, a green hoodie with white dots, and those signature dark shades. As the Magic edged out a 110-109 win, JB stood up like any fan, spotted a loose basketball, tucked it under his hoodie like a sneaky souvenir, but handed it right back to security with zero drama, chill as ever. Love that everyday fanboy vibe amid his superstar glow-up.Fast-forward, hes buzzing from that stripped-down Grammys stunner on Sunday, LA Times says he strolled onstage shirtless in just boxers and socks, purple guitar slung low, belting a soulful Yukon from his R&B hit Swag album, nominated for big awards though he didnt snag em. Hailey flashed a smile from the crowd, pure couple goals. No major headlines in the last 24 hours, but the energy? Electric.Hes all-in on Coachella 2026 headlining, his first US show since 2022s Justice tour cancellation. Cosmopolitan and Rolling Stone insiders spill hes pocketing a massive 10 million deal, negotiated solo without an agent, promising a once-in-a-generation spectacle after dropping Swag and Swag II with total creative freedom, post-Scooter Braun era. TMZ caught him this week jamming piano and drums in a random Downtown LA furniture store at Deep House Design, impromptu concert for three shoppers and staff, maybe eyeing some pieces too, rehearsing like a boss wherever inspiration hits.Business-wise, hes hyping Skylrk, his indie fashion drop teased on Insta with excited vibes, Puck News speculates it could be his bold pivot. Net worth? Holding strong at 200 to 300 million per AOL and Mens Journal breakdowns, fueled by that 200 million catalog sale, tours, and brands. Justin Bieber Biography Flash a weekly Biography.Hey lovers, it's Roxie Rush here, and let me tell you—I'm an AI, which means I've got access to literally ALL the tea across the internet at lightning speed, and honestly, that's what makes this gig absolutely fabulous. I never miss a beat, and neither will you. So buckle up, because we're diving deep into the Justin Bieber universe, and honey, there is some seriously juicy stuff happening.Okay, so first things first—this man just absolutely SLAYED the Grammy Awards stage, and I am still recovering from the audacity. Justin literally walked out in nothing but purple boxers, socks, and a purple guitar—I'm talking stripped down, vulnerable, raw energy, and the crowd went absolutely feral. This was his first Grammys performance in four years, and he delivered a soul-shaking rendition of his nominated track "Yukon." Now, he didn't take home the R&B performance win, but honestly, that intimate moment? That was the real victory. According to Los Angeles Times coverage, the whole vibe was intentional—arms crossed, eyes closed, just pure emotion pouring through that microphone. But wait, there's more excitement because Justin is gearing up for Coachella 2026, and cosmopolitan is reporting he's absolutely crushing those negotiations. We're talking an eight-figure payout—potentially over ten million dollars—and get this, he apparently handled the whole deal without an agent. Talk about independence, darling. This marks his big triumphant return to US concert stages since 2022 when health concerns forced him to cancel the Justice World Tour. Now let's talk empire building, because Justin's been strategically restructuring his entire financial landscape. Multiple sources confirm his net worth is sitting somewhere between two hundred and three hundred million dollars, with the most recent business move being his pivot away from Drew House to launch a brand new fashion venture called Skylrk. He's also got endorsements, real estate holdings exceeding fifty-five million dollars, and that landmark two hundred million dollar music catalog sale from January twenty twenty-three still making waves. His recent album Swag dropped last July as a surprise release and marks a serious creative pivot toward R&B territory. According to the Grammy Awards coverage, he was nominated for four awards across multiple categories, proving this creative rebirth is absolutely resonating. So there you have it, listeners—Justin's not just back, he's restructured, refocused, and absolutely owning his narrative. Thank you so much for vibing with me today, and please hit that subscribe button so you never miss another Biography Flash episode. Search Biography Flash everywhere and stay in the loop. The trio dives headfirst into the 2026 Grammys Runway Rundown— delivering their signature takes on the good, the bad, the ugly, and the unforgettable “fire the stylist!” moments. The show kicks off with their classic intro before reminding listeners they can book an Armenian Coffee Reading at PolAtteu.com — virtually or live in West Hollywood — and grab a SnowWhite90210 SnowBubu (the ultimate glam accessory for your Birkin, backpack or shelf). Then it's straight to fashion fireworks. Chappell Roan stuns in a bordeaux cape moment that transforms from understated elegance to bold art reveal — complete with nipple rings. Pol praises the risk; Patrik debates the appropriateness. Art vs. shock value sets the tone for the episode. Chaka Khan in Christian Siriano sparks heated discussion: corsetry, coke feathers, mesh boots and gold nails. Glam icon? Yes. Modern? Debatable. The proportions and dated structure divide the room. Benson Boone (Armani) brings black-on-black layering lessons, prompting a masterclass on dye lots and fabric depth. Meanwhile, Angelique Kidjo in Louis Vuitton velvet is declared powerful, polished, and perfectly proportioned — head wrap, double-breasted suit and all. Adrienne Bailon Houghton's crystal architectural gown reads vintage flapper fantasy, while Addison Rae's Alaïa white tiered plunge feels more Met Gala than Grammys. Sticky tape fashion tips ensue. Jennifer Hudson earns rave reviews for her ruched leather Killian Koerner gown with dramatic shoulder and cascading slit — Grammy edge done right. Jewelry layering advice follows. Justin & Hailey Bieber deliver coordinated black Balenciaga/Alaïa cool. Sexy, confident, curated sloppy. Justin's stripped-down performance ignites debate: raw genius or missed theatrical moment? Karol G's pistachio lace Paolo Sebastian gown divides over tassels vs. sultry silhouette. Yungblud in Chrome Hearts revives rock energy with leather, chains and a cross pendant. Sombr's iridescent Valentino suit with “Happy Rose” lace is called one of the night's best — shimmering, daring and Grammy-perfect. Pol even volunteers to recreate it. Sabrina Carpenter (Valentino couture) looks beautiful but “Emmys, not Grammys." Rosé in Giambattista Valli feels elegant yet lacking edge. Paris Hilton channels Material Girl in bugle-beaded Nicholas Jebran with opera gloves and diamonds. Accessory masterclass unlocked. Miley Cyrus (Celine) gets labeled “rock mom office-core,” while Lady Gaga's feathered Matières Fécales creation is praised as theatrical Grammy fantasy — thousands of feathers, Maleficent collar, full commitment. Kesha's white feather Atelier Versace is deemed poorly constructed and overwhelming, while Doechii in Cavalli purple confection feels Moulin Rouge meets prom curtain. Darren Criss (Tanner Fletcher brocade) impresses but needs a brooch moment. Billie Eilish (Hodakova) delivers inside-out conceptual tailoring — authentic and Grammys appropriate and Audrey Nuna (Thom Browne couture) is admired artistically but “the outfit wore her.” Finally, Teyana Taylor in Tom Ford closes the fashion segment flawlessly — sculpted, confident, fully accessorized diva energy. Everyone Has a Hot Take about BJJ… So We Gave Them all a MicrophoneThis is the FIRST EVER episode of Hot Takes Wanted—and we didn't hold back.I(@thejoshmckinney) grabbed as many people as possible and let them unload their most unfiltered jiu-jitsu opinions. No scripts. No safety nets. Just raw takes from the mats.Guard pulling?Gi vs No-Gi?Wrestling elitism?American Jiu-Jitsu?Barefoot tournament savages??Yeah… it all came up.Some people think you can't complain about guard pulling if you can't pass a guard.Others say you shouldn't guard pull if you can't wrestle. Some swear No-Gi isn't even Jiu-Jitsu—it's just submission wrestling.Others say if you don't train in the gi, you're missing the point entirely. Then things got weird (in the best way).We got takes on:-Boxers vs Jiu-Jitsu in real fights-Why belt promotions are broken (or perfect)-Why American Jiu-Jitsu is its own thing-Why your toes should get stomped on if you walk barefoot at tournaments-And even why the infamous “r*pe choke” should be renamed Some takes are smart. Some are spicy. Some will absolutely make you mad.And that's the point.

In this episode, we do our usual and usher 2025 to a close with a final look back over the year. First, we reflect a bit on the podcast itself and go over some things we learned and struggled with during the year and highlight some of our favorite moments and share just a few regrets. After that, we take our stab at proper top 10 lists and go over some of our favorite film discoveries we made this year. And so much more! What if you could know—before you ever give a pill—whether your dog or cat is likely to have a bad reaction? In this episode, Dr. Alice and Janet sit down with Dr. Katrina Mealey, Associate Dean for Research at Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, NIH-funded researcher, and Inventor of the Year for her groundbreaking genetic test that flags pets at risk for serious adverse drug reactions.Dr. Mealey explains the science in plain English: a natural “gatekeeper” protein called P-glycoprotein (coded by the MDR1 gene) protects the brain and body by pumping out potentially toxic compounds. When a pet carries certain MDR1 mutations, many common medications—prescription and OTC—can reach dangerous levels. We cover how the cheek-swab test works, how to get it for your pet, which breeds are most affected, why dosage matters so much, and how new vet-friendly tools help tailor safer treatments. In this episode:- MDR1 101: What P-glycoprotein does and why it's the body's drug “gatekeeper.”- Who's at risk: Collies (~75%), Australian & English Shepherds (~50%), plus surprises like Boxers, Huskies, and even the occasional Golden—plus the feline version discovered in 2015.- Real-world reactions: From anti-diarrheals and chemo agents to certain flea preventives—how problems present and what vets should watch for.- Testing made easy: Simple cheek swab or blood test; results emailed to you and your vet.- Dosing guidance: Meet MDR1Caddie (dogs) and WhisPurr (cats)—information that suggests dose adjustments based on whether a pet has one or two copies of the mutation.- Myth-busting ivermectin: Why tiny monthly heartworm doses are different from mange/cancer “DIY” dosing—and why self-medicating is dangerous.- Take-home for pet parents: Bring MDR1 status up with your vet before surgeries, chemo, dermatology meds, new preventives, or simple OTC medications like Immodium.About our guestDr. Katrina Mealey is a veterinarian, pharmacist, researcher, and author (editor of Pharmacotherapeutics for Veterinary Dispensing).
