“Dave Kinchen Tonight” is a news/talk program hosted by Philadelphia journalist Dave Kinchen. The show features periodic podcasts that cover the world of politics, general news and frequent life observations. DKT first ran from 2006-2011 and became “Kinchen/Gonzales TONIGHT.” Dave Kinchen has been featured on several prime time FOX News Channel programs, Inside Edition, The Dr. Oz Show, and made appearances on CNN, MSNBC and Sky News in Europe.  He's also interviewed national political figures like Barack Obama, Newt Gingrich, Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Mitt Romney.

    TONIGHT: The Pathway to Survival Following Life-Threatening Trauma “There is life after tragedy,” Patience Carter Patience Carter, director for the Gun Violence Survivors Foundation, talks about her path to regaining her emotional and physical strength after being shot during the 2016 Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando, Florida where 49 people were killed and more than 50 were hurt. Carter was there with 18-year-old Akyra Murray of Philadelphia, who was the youngest shooting victim to die in the attack. Patience Carter takes listeners through that terrifying night, and how she is helping other trauma victims move forward. She also previews her upcoming book “Survive Then Live”, which will be released in June.

This is DKT’s official return to the airwaves...errr...podcast-waves!  TONIGHT: Dave Kinchen gave some background on the podcast's format, which includes a live Sunday night broadcast plus a handful of topical podcasts with interviews that will be posted during the week.  This episode also discussed New Jersey's efforts to legalize recreational marijuana, which took a big step forward in recent days.  Also, the horrific discovery of five family members in a central Jersey apartment which has sparked national speculation of a suicide pact or cult ritual.  On the lighter side, Dave shared a short taste of his interview with classic rock icon David Coverdale of Whitesnake.
