Culture keepers and historians are closely watching President Donald Trump's review of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) and other institutions to eliminate what he calls derisive or partisan narratives. It's among eight museums that receive federal funding are that are currently under review. NMAI's exhibits include Native American perspectives on historical documents and events that include treaties, Indian Boarding Schools, the Termination Era, the American Indian Movement, and the Indian Child Welfare Act, among many others. Those watching are concerned Trump's directive could permanently alter how those topics are presented to the public. NMAI also develops educational curricula that counters incomplete instruction on historical events, like Thanksgiving. We'll hear from those who were instrumental in NMAI's founding, as well as get perspective on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's announcement that soldiers that took part in the Wounded Knee Massacre would retain their Medals of Honor. GUESTS Dr. Suzan Shown Harjo (Cheyenne and Hodulgee Muscogee), president of the Morning Star Institute, a founding trustee of NMAI, and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom Rick West Jr. (Cheyenne and Arapaho), CEO emeritus of the Autry Museum of the American West and founding director of NMAI OJ Semans Sr. (Rosebud Sioux), co-executive director of Four Directions Vote

The FBI and top law enforcement officials continue to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk in Utah on Wednesday. In Washington, President Donald Trump and others are cementing the MAGA leader's legacy, posthumously awarding him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. And though Trump praised what he said was Kirk's advocacy for nonviolence, he also told reporters “we have to beat the hell” out of “radical left lunatics.” Tempers are high among his closest confidants and millions of followers. So, where does that energy go now, and can any figure unite a grieving and angry America? Playbook's Adam Wren and White House reporter Megan Messerly break it down.

Charlie Kirk assassination 2025 demands answers, patriots—@intheMatrixxx and @shadygrooove unleash unfiltered fury with Season 7, Episode 173, “The Charlie Kirk Tragedy; Remembering 9/11,” airing live today, September 11, 2025, at 12:05 PM Eastern! These battle-tested truth warriors, forged in the fires of Twitter's deep-state ban and rising to awaken a sleeping giant, plunge into the gut-wrenching details of conservative powerhouse Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting in the neck on September 10, 2025, during his electrifying American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University in Orem. As the FBI's $100,000 reward sparks tips and a person of interest's photo floods X, Jeff and Shannon rip apart the inconsistencies—like the leaked ATF report on a high-powered Mauser .30-06 bolt-action rifle engraved with trans and anti-fascist markings, found in woods after a sniper fled 200 yards away in 10-15 mph winds, per police scanners and bystander videos. Utah Governor Spencer Cox brands it a blatant "political assassination," amid detained-then-released suspects George Zinn and Zachariah Qureshi, foreign intel whispers from John Solomon, and Blue Sky threats targeting JK Rowling, Matt Walsh, and Elon Musk. They torch the radical left's bloodlust, from Jezebel's cursed Etsy witches scramble to MSDNC dumping analyst Matthew Dowd for his bile, and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker's Trump-blaming deflection—proving how globalist hate from the likes of the Minnesota lawmaker slaying and Pennsylvania arson fuels this war on America-First voices, birthing a million Kirk-inspired fighters armed with ballots, not bullets. Igniting Kirk's fearless legacy, the hosts blast an "Inspire someone today" rallying cry to embolden youth against tyranny, syncing with Jesse Watters' Fox News bombshell: a "turning point" where "they are at war with us," swearing vengeance via media rat hunts and political accountability. They amplify President Donald J. Trump's Oval Office thunder—"My Fellow Americans," dubbing Kirk "the Great, and even Legendary" youth whisperer, unveiling a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom to etch his Turning Point USA triumphs into eternity. Pivoting to sacred ground, the show vows "We will never forget" 9/11's 2,977 heroes lost 24 years ago at Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and Flight 93—first responders charging into hell, a generational shift now led by their children's solemn recitations amid toxic legacy deaths topping attack tolls. DJT's Pentagon address with First Lady Melania, secured indoors against threats, fuses 9/11 resilience with Kirk grief, while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's tear-streaked eulogy hails Charlie as a "good and faithful servant" and "incredible American patriot" whose arena roar demands "full hearts, clear eyes—you will never be forgotten." Echoing the live chat's WWG1WGA fire—prayers, unity blasts, and psyop calls—the MG Show forges unbreakable patriot bonds, shunning reactionary traps for constitutional steel. This is the crucible where America-First legends are born, delivering live intel blasts, savage wit, and narrative-shredding analysis that crushes deep-state deceptions and rallies the republic's guardians. Today's Headlines: President Trump hasn't been seen in public in days, fueling health rumors the White House won't confirm or deny—though his team has been posting old photos and oddly ghostwritten Truth Social rants to keep up appearances. Meanwhile, a U.S. appeals court ruled most of Trump's tariffs illegal but left them in place until mid-October, setting up a likely Supreme Court fight. Trump also yanked Kamala Harris's Secret Service protection right before her book tour, while Marco Rubio revoked Mahmoud Abbas's U.S. visa ahead of the UN General Assembly. On the rebrand beat, the administration is drafting plans to rename the Department of Defense the “Department of War” (which was last used in 1947). Elsewhere, Rudy Giuliani says he fractured his spine in a car crash after helping a domestic violence victim—though Trump quickly promised him a Medal of Freedom, raising more questions than answers. Missouri's GOP governor is fast-tracking redistricting to lock in more Republican seats before 2026. Abroad, Xi Jinping hosted Putin and Modi at the Shanghai Cooperation summit to pitch a “Global South” order, Yemen mourned slain Houthi leaders after an Israeli strike, and Israel says it also killed Hamas's spokesman as it eyes another Gaza offensive. And back home, Congress returns with the Epstein files looming—lawmakers Massie and Khanna are set to appear with new victims demanding the DOJ release everything. My guest today is Vinton G. Cerf, widely regarded as a “father of the Internet.” In the 1970s, Vint co-developed the TCP/IP protocols that define how data is formatted, transmitted, and received across devices. In essence, his work enabled networks to communicate, thus laying the foundation for the Internet as a unified global system. He has received honorary degrees and awards that include the National Medal of Technology, the Turing Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Marconi Prize, and membership in the National Academy of Engineering. He is currently Chief Internet Evangelist at Google. In this episode, Vint reflects on the Internet's path from ARPANET and TCP/IP to the scaling choices that made global connectivity possible. He explains why decentralization was key, and how fiber optics and data centers underwrote explosive growth. Vint also addresses today's policy anxieties (fragmentation, sovereignty walls, and fragile infrastructures…) before looking upward to the interplanetary Internet now linking spacecraft. Finally, we turn to AI: how LLMs are reshaping learning and software, and why the next leap may be systems that question us back. I hope you enjoy our discussion. You can follow me on X (@ProfSchrepel) and BlueSky (@ProfSchrepel).
