There are many differences among people—including ethnic, socio-economic, and biological differences. But that does not matter when it comes to our standing in Christ. Paul says that all Believers are ONE in Christ. But the culture views things differently. The culture either denies our differences altogether or exploits our differences to divide people through class warfare and race-baiting. But the church should be the most diverse and unified group of any people on the planet. Join us for today's Bible study, “One in Christ.”

God calls us not to walk alone but to live in the beauty of unity. In Christ, we are joined as one family, bound by love, grace, and shared purpose. Our homes become places where faith is nurtured and God's Word is lived out daily. Even when families are broken or imperfect, the church steps in as a spiritual home filled with love and belonging. Unity does not happen by accident; it requires humility, forgiveness, and intentional care. When we love one another well, we show the world what Jesus is truly like. Let us live as one united family, shining His light together.
God Sees Jesus Followers as “In Christ”: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” MESSAGE SUMMARY: As Followers of Jesus, we are "In Christ" -- God looks at us and sees Jesus in us. Throughout the Epistles we find: "In Christ" or "In Him". In Galatians 3:14, Paul tells us that our faith in Jesus makes us “In Christ” and recipients of God's Covenant with Abraham: “so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.". Also, Paul goes even further, in Galatians 3:25-28, to tell us that, through our faith in Jesus, we no longer need any kind of intermediary because we are “In Christ” and we have a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe: “But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.”. The benefit our position "In Christ", as Christians, is that when God looks at us, He sees Jesus, the Son; therefore, He then sees us as His sons and daughters. TODAY'S PRAYER: Keeping the Sabbath, Lord, will require a lot of changes in the way I am living life. Teach me, Lord, how to take the next step with this in a way that fits my unique personality and situation. Help me to trust you with all that will remain unfinished and to enjoy my humble place in your very large world. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 129). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD'S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Romans 3:21-26; Romans 6:5-11; Romans 6:22-23; Psalms 77a:1-10. We live in a time marked by division—racial tension, political polarization, and social distrust. But these aren't new problems. The early church in Ephesus faced similar barriers, and Paul's words still speak powerfully today. This Sunday, we'll look at how Jesus breaks down the walls that divide us and makes a new kind of community—one built on peace, grace, and shared identity. Phillis Wheatley, the first published African American poet, used biblical themes to persuade believers in Jesus to abolish slavery. Born around 1753 in western Africa, Wheatley was sold to a slave trader at only seven years of age. Quicky distinguishing herself as a remarkable student, she finally secured her emancipation in 1773. In her poems and correspondence, Wheatley pressed her readers to embrace the Scriptural affirmation of the equality of all people. She wrote, “In every human Breast, God has implanted a Principle, which we call Love of Freedom; It is impatient of Oppression, and pants for Deliverance; and . . . the same Principle lives in us.” Equality before God is a truth emphasized by Paul when he wrote, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ” (Galatians 3:28). Because we’re “all children of God through faith” (v. 26), differences such as race, ethnicity, gender, or social status shouldn’t lead to discrimination in the church. Even as equal recipients of God’s love, we still struggle to live out this principle. But Scripture teaches that diverse peoples united through faith in Christ best reflects God’s heart and is His plan for life in eternity. That reality can help us to celebrate the diversity in our communities of faith now.
Acts 20:1-3, 7-12, 17-38
We are a divided people. Everyone knows it to be true, but no one wants it to be true. What if oneness were one of the main goals of God's work in the world through Christ? On this tour through Scripture, we'll see the thread of oneness from Genesis to Revelation, culminating in Christ and lasting into eternity. This is God's plan: to make a people one in Christ.
Oftentimes we find ourselves judging how we compare with others. We silently and even subconsciously create a ranking of people's status. This is a problem that has plagued every society in various ways. Galatians 3 shows us that there is a different way. The social and cultural walls that bring division come crashing down when we are one in Christ.

It was Jesus' prayer before being arrested that we would be blessed by our Father. Jesus speaks clearly and without pretense with God as he asks that we benefit from his big ask - "make them holy by the truth". He could have asked for our comforts in this world, or for taking us out of the world, but he knew the very core of existence here was to live spiritually alive and to receive our strength from God. Being holy is to be light and love in our world that is seeking both to see and to be seen. Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Fr. Mike outlines Paul's trial before King Agrippa and his efforts to use his conversion story to convert those hearing his case. He also leads us through the first half of Ephesians, emphasizing Paul's main theme of unity in the spirit. Today's readings are from Acts 26, Ephesians 1-3, and Proverbs 29:18-21. In Acts 24, Fr. Mike notes how Felix remained unmoved by Paul's teaching despite being compelled by it initially, showing us that unless we act on what we believe, there is no change. As we begin reading St.Paul's letter to the Galatians today, Fr. Mike highlights Paul's explanation of the role of Jewish law in the Age of the Church, clarifying that through baptism, we are all one in Christ and heirs to the promises of the Father regardless of our backgrounds.
