A @Christadelphians Video: **Video Description**Join us for this thought-provoking and expositional study, *“One in Christ: Complimentary Roles #1 – ‘One in Christ Jesus'”* with Bible student Mark O'Grady. In this outstanding opening session, we explore the biblical foundation for the roles of men and women, answering the vital question: why is our whole community depicted in Scripture as a woman? We begin in Genesis, seeing that God's purpose and hope are identical for both male and female – we are all one in Christ Jesus. Yet, as we examine the whole of Scripture, an overwhelmingly male focus emerges, alongside explicit instructions about headship and submission. Rather than being a cultural relic, we reveal how these principles are woven into creation itself – from Adam being formed first, to Eve as a “help meet”, and the beautiful symbolism of the sun and the moon. This insightful presentation addresses modern challenges, the meaning of true leadership as service, and the wonderful complementarity of male and female brains – designed by God to work together. Most powerfully, we discover that the biblically defined role of women is not a put-down, but a transcendent calling to depict the relationship between God and His people. “The Maker is thy husband” (

This week, Drew Humphrey kicked off our new series Sisters and Brothers with a message from Galatians 3. Drew reminded us that our identity as God's children is found through faith in Jesus and is available to all. He challenged us to reject division and instead live as a unified family, reflecting Christ by loving fully, seeing rightly, and embracing our shared identity in Him.

This podcast highlights how the covenant given to Abraham was fulfilled ultimately in Jesus Christ— and how the Old Testament, that is, the Law of Moses, served as a temporary guide to expose sin and lead humanity toward Christ. Mark and Cindy explore God's emphasis that righteousness and inheritance come by promise, not by Old Testament Law, and that faith in Christ brings true freedom from spiritual bondage. Listeners are invited to reflect on the beauty of unity in Christ, where disunity fades, and believers are made one, clothed in Him through faith and baptism. Ultimately, the episode encourages a life of faithful obedience and trust, reminding us that those who belong to Christ are heirs to the promise, walking in the same faith that defined Abraham.
In January 1967, the town of Winneconne discovered it had been mistakenly omitted from the official Wisconsin state road map, costing the town vital tourist revenue. So the town decided to secede from Wisconsin and become its own sovereign state on July 21 of that year. Some say the secession was a move to embarrass the state government while others claim it was a tongue-in-cheek act of humor. In any case, months of negotiations resulted in state and town coming together, and Winneconne rejoined Wisconsin at 12:01 a.m. on July 22, 1967. Most division isn’t as good-natured or as easily resolved. Division is such a threat that the book of Proverbs lists the “the person who stirs up conflict” (6:19) as one of “six things the Lord hates” (6:16). But it’s not important simply because of the problems division causes. Disunity misrepresents Jesus and His Father. The night before the cross, Christ prayed that His followers would be one in Him, “that the world may believe that you have sent me” (John 17:21). Jesus made it clear that our unity as brothers and sisters in Christ (or lack of it) impacts the world’s belief in Jesus! Perhaps that’s why Paul told the Ephesians, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3). May we allow the Spirit of Christ to make us one—that the world may be drawn to Him.

It's not always easy. You'll see needs, face doubts, and have to make sacrifices—but when you put what you have in God's hands, He can do more than you ever expected. This sermon is a reminder that even when relationships feel hard, God can use them to grow you and impact others. It was Jesus' prayer before being arrested that we would be blessed by our Father. Jesus speaks clearly and without pretense with God as he asks that we benefit from his big 'ask' - "make them holy by the truth". He could have asked for our comforts in this world, or for taking us out of the world, but he knew the very core of existence here was to live spiritually alive and to receive our strength from God. Being holy is to be light and love in our world that is seeking both to see and to be seen.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. God Sees Jesus Followers as “In Christ”: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” MESSAGE SUMMARY: As Followers of Jesus, we are "In Christ" -- God looks at us and sees Jesus in us. Throughout the Epistles we find: "In Christ" or "In Him". In Galatians 3:14, Paul tells us that our faith in Jesus makes us “In Christ” and recipients of God's Covenant with Abraham: “so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.". Also, Paul goes even further, in Galatians 3:25-28, to tell us that, through our faith in Jesus, we no longer need any kind of intermediary because we are “In Christ” and we have a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe: “But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.”. The benefit our position "In Christ", as Christians, is that when God looks at us, He sees Jesus, the Son; therefore, He then sees us as His sons and daughters. TODAY'S PRAYER: Keeping the Sabbath, Lord, will require a lot of changes in the way I am living life. Teach me, Lord, how to take the next step with this in a way that fits my unique personality and situation. Help me to trust you with all that will remain unfinished and to enjoy my humble place in your very large world. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD'S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Romans 3:21-26; Romans 6:5-11; Romans 6:22-23; Psalms 77a:1-10. In Acts 24, Fr. Mike notes how Felix remained unmoved by Paul's teaching despite being compelled by it initially, showing us that unless we act on what we believe, there is no change. As we begin reading St.Paul's letter to the Galatians today, Fr. Mike highlights Paul's explanation of the role of Jewish law in the Age of the Church, clarifying that through baptism, we are all one in Christ and heirs to the promises of the Father regardless of our backgrounds. What does it mean that we are all one in Christ? What is the meaning of Galatians 3:28?
Welcome to the Grace Coach Podcast! Mike and Kevin share their insights from the Book of Colossians as they dive into Chapter 4. Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven. 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. 7 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant[a] in the Lord. 8 I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our[b] circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. 9 He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here. 10 My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. (You have received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him.) 11 Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews[c] among my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. 13 I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis. 14 Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, and Demas send greetings. 15 Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. 16 After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea. 17 Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord.” 18 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.
There are many differences among people—including ethnic, socio-economic, and biological differences. But that does not matter when it comes to our standing in Christ. Paul says that all Believers are ONE in Christ. But the culture views things differently. The culture either denies our differences altogether or exploits our differences to divide people through class warfare and race-baiting. But the church should be the most diverse and unified group of any people on the planet. Join us for today's Bible study, “One in Christ.”
