In today's episode, Pastor Todd shares from our Sunday PM service (11/23/25) talking about the enemies of the Cross of Christ. There are things that come against us as Christians because Jesus said that they would come. However, because we live in Christ & Christ in us, we WILL see the victory over the attacks and plans of the enemy. In this sobering and soul-searching message, Pastor Karl dives deep into Matthew 5:17–48, where Jesus declares that He came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it—and then raises the bar of righteousness far beyond anything the scribes and Pharisees ever imagined.Through six piercing examples—anger that murders the heart, lust that commits adultery in the mind, casual divorce, manipulative oaths, retaliation, and hatred disguised as justice—Jesus exposes the truth we all try to avoid: outward obedience is never enough. God judges the heart. Every single one of us stands guilty before His perfect standard.Yet the bad news is meant to drive us to the best news. Pastor Karl powerfully unpacks how Jesus' command in verse 48—“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect”—is not a cruel impossible demand, but the very reason the Son of God came. We cannot achieve the righteousness God requires, so God freely gives it to us through faith in Christ. Jesus took our unrighteousness and imputes His perfect righteousness to all who repent and trust Him.A hard-hitting, heart-exposing sermon that leaves no room for self-righteousness, but ends with the liberating joy of the gospel: guilty sinners can be clothed in the very righteousness of God and stand before Him as if we had never sinned. This week, Pastor John led us in our annual Cross of Christ service with a message from 1 Corinthians 11:23–26. As we take the bread and the cup, we boldly declare that we are not ruled by sin, not hopeless in life, and not finished in death. In Christ, our sins are forgiven, our lives belong to Him, our hope is secure, and our King is returning.

Send us a textStart with the ice. A husband crawls across a frozen river, terrified the surface won't hold—until a wagon thunders past and proves the ice is strong. That turn from fear to confidence becomes our map for understanding faith: assurance rises when the object is trustworthy. We explore why the cross of Christ is not just strong enough to bear the weight of our souls, but also powerful enough to dismantle what keeps us from real life with God.Together we trace Paul's logic in Romans 3 and Philippians 3 to show how the cross destroys pride, prejudice, and presumption. Boasting collapses because righteousness is received, not earned; the only safe brag is Jesus. Prejudice fades because there is one God and one way—by faith—for both Jew and Gentile, for every culture and class. We revisit Jonah to expose our tendency to fence in God's grace and to fear the wrong people. Then we tackle a hard question: does salvation by grace cancel the law? Not a chance. The cross upholds God's holiness and fulfills the law's verdict by providing a perfect Substitute. No curves, no partial credit, no passing grade for sincerity—only Christ standing in our place, crediting us with a righteousness we could never produce. This conversation moves from story to Scripture to practice: how confidence in Christ reshapes behavior, how worship replaces self-congratulation, and how a church freed from targeting and tribalism becomes a living sign of the gospel's reach. If you've wrestled with assurance, struggled with bias, or wondered how grace and holiness fit together, you'll find clarity, conviction, and hope here. We end not by praising our faith, but by praising our Savior—the Lamb who is worthy, the Mighty God who holds. If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs courage today, and leave a review to help others find these conversations.Support the showStephen's latest book, The Disciples Prayer, is available now. https://www.wisdomonline.org/store/view/the-disciples-prayer-hardback

The Cross of Christ stands at the heart of God's redemptive plan. It reveals Jesus' mission, fulfills divine justice, and secures salvation for all who believe. Through the cross, God's wrath is satisfied, redemption accomplished, and righteousness declared—transforming hearts, reconciling humanity to Himself, and establishing the firm foundation of our faith.Series: Firm Foundation - The Heart of Our FaithSpeaker: Revanth TSermon: 3Notes: https://1drv.ms/b/c/66f8a20aff17c92c/EXN1-Q0-z0pOj--81RzHXVEBM_EAwSz-D-osvtnBWotxKA?e=UpRIK3
In this compelling sermon, Pastor Karl dives into Matthew Chapters 3 and part of 4, introducing John the Baptist and the launch of Jesus' public ministry. He explores the radical call to repentance as forward-facing surrender, the humble wilderness ministry of John—clothed in camel hair and heralding the coming Messiah—and the dramatic baptism where heaven breaks open with the Trinity on full display. Pastor Karl then examines Jesus' temptation in the wilderness, revealing how Satan attacks God's provision, protection, and promises, and how Jesus defeats every lie with Scripture alone. He emphasizes that repentance is not a one-time event but a lifestyle that prepares the way for the kingdom, that true faith bears fruit, and that heaven meets obedience with strength. Join us for a powerful message that calls every believer to repent, resist the devil, and trust God's Word in every trial. By Larry Beckett - What does the Bible really say about the cross of Christ?
The Exaltation of the Holy Cross is a Catholic Feast day that brings due attention to the Holy Cross on which our Lord and Savior achieved our reconciliation with the Father. In this Feast, we gaze upon the Cross less as an instrument of suffering and torture (while this is still certainly true), but more on the healing and reconciliation it brings.

What can wash away sin and bring new life? Only the blood of Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor James Wilson unpacks the life-transforming power of Christ's blood, showing how it cleanses, heals, and reconciles us to God. Drawing from Hebrews 9:11-12 and John 20:19-22, Pastor Wilson teaches that through the blood of Jesus we receive eternal redemption and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The message illustrates how the blood functions in the believer's life much like blood does in the human body—purging consciences, healing wounds, and sustaining spiritual life. Pastor Wilson also reminds us that accepting the blood of Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life. The blood of Jesus is more than a symbol—it is the foundation of redemption, healing, and eternal hope for every believer. Pastor Jonathan Tan preached from Romans 3:21-26.
Today, Many in America Live and Act as “enemies of the Cross of Christ” Thereby, Traveling the Road to Eternal Death MESSAGE SUMMARY: God has told us that we are His children and citizens of Heaven. To this end, God has given us the Holy Spirit as a pledge of our inheritance as His child. Also, God gave you the Holy Spirit to provide you with the power to live a Spiritual life. However, far too many continue to live and to act as “enemies of the Cross of Christ” by having their minds focused on earthly things as the lords of life. If this picture of your life-actions and life-focus describes you, then you very well may be on the road to eternal death and destruction. Therefore, you must return to Jesus and His way of doing things – Jesus' pattern of discipleship, servanthood, and submission is a path to your Salvation. Paul, in Philippians 3:18-20, defines an “enemy of the Cross of Christ: “For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.". Jesus Followers have their life-focus driven by the realization that they are His child and a citizen of Heaven; therefore, you and your life-focus, as a Jesus Follower, are all precious to God since He sacrificed so much to adopt you as His child. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I praise you because your love seeks my good in any and every situation. Forgive me for the seeds that I have squandered. Soften my heart to surrender to your will in and through me. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 120). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Past Failures. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Grace. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we confront the horrific attack at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. The shooter, Robert “Robin” Westman, once walked those same halls as a student. Years of unchecked mental illness and spiritual rebellion ended in bloodshed.America is in denial. We refuse to face the truth: the transgender movement is built on a Satanic lie. No one can change the sex God gave them. Pretending otherwise doesn't heal broken souls, it destroys them and puts others in danger.Christians must speak plainly. Love does not mean affirming sin or confusion. Love means pointing people back to Christ, who alone gives us our identity. Until our nation repents and turns back to God, tragedies like this will only increase.Pray for the victims and their families.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee
The eleventh Sunday after Pentecost - Pastor James Pierce
Jesse Cope explores the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God and honoring our marriage commitments while examining how America's founders viewed biblical principles as essential to good governance. Scripture readings from Galatians, Psalms, and Proverbs provide spiritual guidance while historical perspectives from influential American leaders illuminate our nation's moral foundation.• Making time for God should be our top priority• Marriage should reflect Christ's relationship with the church• Scripture emphasizes bearing each other's burdens and not growing weary in doing good• We will always harvest what we plant - both in our spiritual and earthly lives• America's founders repeatedly referenced the Ten Commandments as the basis for moral law• The idea that our founders wanted to separate God from government contradicts historical evidence• Medal of Honor recipient George H. Bell demonstrated extraordinary courage during the Civil WarGod bless you all. God bless your families. God bless your marriages. God bless America, God bless your nation.
