Meeting our students where they are is easier said than done. However, when we reflect on our teaching practice and spend time understanding what works and doesn't work with our students, we begin to adjust our ways of teaching to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students. 

The beginning of any school year can be tough and this year is no exception. I often hear first-year teachers say that they were not prepared for what they face the first few days or weeks of the school year. Even veteran teachers can get surprised by a new year with new students! I want you to know you are NOT alone! On this episode, I share a few tips to start the school year off right, no matter what grade you teacher. Remember, every day is a new day and it's another chance to start over!
