My notebook overflowed after 6 months with coaches at every level—hoops lessons from London, Paris, NBA weekends, youth basketball, messing around with my coaching, and the NCAA trenches. Having been incredibly fortunate to talk hoops with coaches at every level of the game over the last six months, I've synthesized a collection of insights I believe can move the needle for your program.I shared ideas on key coaching phrases including "do you change the room when you walk in the room," the "dunker spot" concept, and defensive strategies like "chest and contest" and "beat them with your feet." He emphasized the importance of "conceptual defense" and "structured to unstructured" approaches, along with offensive concepts like "the feeder is the leader" and "we don't slow, we don't stop" when executing plays. Oliver shared specific terminology like "MIG" (Most Important Guy) and "MIA" (Missing an Action) for defensive assignments, and discussed the importance of making practices reflect actual game situations by never starting drills at 0-0 and incorporating scores to create competitive pressure. He also covered coaching principles including "when in doubt, make it a game," the "four E's" approach (Environment, Exploration, Explicit Instruction, and Expectations), and the concept of "unexpected praise" to enhance player development and enjoyment.

Information transferred is not information absorbed. It sounds obvious. And yet most leaders keep running the same play anyway. The boot camp. The all-hands demo. The two-day blitz. And then three weeks later, nobody's using the tools. Anna Basevich has spent her career at the intersection of health data and human behavior. As SVP at Arcadia, she helps healthcare organizations turn fragmented, siloed data into life-saving decisions. She spent years flying across the country delivering marathon trainings that felt great in the room and evaporated by Monday. It took a pandemic, a rapid acquisition, and a ban on hospital hopping to force a better way. What came out the other side was a playbook built around one stubborn truth: people don't absorb what they're handed. They absorb what they use, revisit, and discover for themselves. The examples here come from the deep end. Nine-figure implementations. Heavily regulated data. Cross-functional teams who barely speak the same language. But every principle in this episode translates directly to any leader rolling out new tools, whether that's an enterprise platform or an AI pilot for a team of 20. Key Takeaways: The Brain Dump Trap: why cramming everything into two days guarantees your team forgets it by week three The T-Shaped Learner: broad awareness plus targeted depth beats the pure generalist and the siloed expert Chunk It or Lose It: bite-sized iterative rollouts unlock more value than any boot camp ever will Outcomes as North Star: why revisiting customer goals feels redundant until the moment it saves the whole project The Peer Effect: organic knowledge sharing among teammates beats top-down training every time The Unleashed Leader: passionate about the work and the outcome, together, not separately Additional Resources: Follow Anna on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/annabasevich/ Attend Unleashing Leaders University! Life feels full for so many of us. There are responsibilities to manage, people to care for, work to do, ministries to serve in, and homes to tend. And while those things are often good gifts from the Lord, busyness and faithfulness are not always the same thing. Sharing some encouragement from God's Word for those seasons when life begins to feel hurried and spiritually weary, when our hearts slowly become distracted in the middle of full days.  My prayer is that this episode encourages you to slow down a bit, rest in Christ, and become more present in the people and moments the Lord has placed right in front of you. Kostenlose Vorlage: https://sandraott.info/alle-aufgaben-auf-einen-blick/ Mehr Impulse: https://sandraott.info

“What would happen if I spent a whole day on my body, mind and soul?” –MiaWhat would you do if you focused on YOU for a month?I get really intentional about planning my birthday month, and I'm going to show you how to do that so you can plan for your birthday month too. If your birthday is far away, go put a reminder in your calendar two weeks before your birthday with the link to this episode. Or decide you're going to embrace planning a month for you now. May is a really busy time, and I think part of the push to do this is that it's powerful to put yourself first when you are being pulled in other directions. I know that when I have a plan and I'm intentional, I can make things happen even in busy times. I have a business focus and as part of my uplevel, I'm inviting entrepreneurs to join me for daily business practices inside of FLOW365 for a month. I'm calling May Momentum. Why a month? It takes the pressure off one day. It means I can flex with the weather, with big events and weekend plans. I can weave in the things I want even with important dates for my business. Once I have the ideas, I make space on the calendar for them. Some things I'm excited to include:May Momentum Artist Dates Clearing out stuffCeremony with Sarah JenksTime with friendsA whole day focused on my body, mind and soulQuestions I ask:What needs completion? What needs or wants attention? What would it look like to celebrate me?LINKSMay Momentum https://plansimple.com/mayWhere I'm sharing about my plan and what I dohttps://www.instagram.com/plansimple.co/https://substack.com/@themiamoranDOABLE CHANGESAt the end of every episode, we share three doable changes, so you can take what you've heard and put it into action. Action is where change happens.Even though we want big change, it's really little things done over and over that make the difference. So pick a doable thing. Put it in your calendar. Weave it through your days for a week and then move on to the next one. It will have a snowball effect. Here are three Doable Changes from this conversation:ASK THE QUESTIONS. Ask yourself three questions a couple of weeks before your birthday month: What needs completion? What needs or wants attention? What would it look like to celebrate me? Braindump, journal, just put all the ideas down. Decide what things are important to you. If your birthday month is a ways away, your doable change now is to put a reminder in your calendar for two weeks before your birthday month with these questions and the link to this episode.IS THIS ME NOW? Sometimes we have ideas that fit on the surface, but they may feel a little flat or like a past you. Pause and question whether the idea really fits you now. Maybe it does with some changes, or maybe it's not the right thing for now.COMPLETE ONE TASK. Sometimes we start tasks but don't quite finish them. I sorted through a bunch of stuff and decided to get rid of things, but still have the bins of things. Completion looks like getting those out of my house by a tag sale of donation to Goodwill. Maybe you have something written but not published or gathered but not returned. What could you complete today.

She breaks down the connection between ADHD symptoms and creative entrepreneurship, shares her game-changing filter for deciding what actually deserves your attention, and explains why having fewer goals will get you further faster. This one's packed with practical systems that'll help you work with your brain instead of constantly fighting against it. Key Takeaways About 30% of creative entrepreneurs show ADHD symptoms—and most don't even realize it's affecting how they run their business The Filter Framework helps you ask three critical questions before taking on any new project: Does this move my business forward? Can I do this sustainably? Will this create momentum? Having 20 goals for the year means you're building a house of cards that'll collapse the moment something shifts—focus on one domino at a time instead Deep work sessions are most effective when you focus on completing ONE thing across multiple sessions rather than spreading your attention across three different projects each week About Skye Waterson Skye Waterson is the founder of Unconventional Organisation, an international support service for professionals with ADHD. Diagnosed during her PhD after repeated burnout, she's built a business that helps entrepreneurs and executives with ADHD (or suspected ADHD) build sustainable systems, scale their companies, and actually enjoy the process. Whether it's onboarding clients, prepping for sales calls, or giving feedback, this method lets you narrate the process in real-time while AI formats it into a clean, usable doc. Say goodbye to “I'll document it later”—and hello to delegation that actually works.Your Day 9 Action:Next time you catch yourself explaining something (again), open ChatGPT and narrate it instead.Use the SOP prompt to generate a clear, usable doc.Save it, share it, and start reclaiming your time—one process at a time.Key Takeaways:Repeat = delegate-ready. Introducing a new segment on Prologues: the Freewrite. We love book/writing-related puns around here. Freewriting is a writing technique that calls for stream-of-consciousness-style writing for a predetermined amount of pages or time. The goal is to kickstart your brain's creative juices by demanding that it produce words - any words, even nonsensical words, just as long as you don't stop physically writing until you hit the goal. Freewriting is effective because it helps you bypass your mental blocks and tap into deeper ideas.Sometimes, I have several episode ideas rolling around in my head, but I can't record them because I have a block. I have something else occupying space in my head and I can't talk about anything else until I talk about That Thing. Freewrite episodes are brain dumps of anything and everything that is taking up space in my head, so that I can get it out of the way and keep moving forward. This is the first of what I'm sure will be a frequent series on the podcast. 75
