Not So FKN Typical is a podcast that doesn't quite fit in neat little boxes. Hosted by Steph & Amy, two friends with big feelings, questionable coping mechanisms, and ever changing hyperfixations. Each episode is a little different. Sometimes it's pop culture, sometimes it's mental health, sometimes it's life, parenting, friendship, chaos, or just whatever we're currently obsessed with. Nothing polished. Nothing perfect. Just two humans talking it out and calling it what it is. FKN Typical.

This week on Radio Architecture Ilana's guest is DANIEL WOLKENBERG. Daniel founded Poly Studio in 2012 after gaining experience working in a variety of architectural practices including Studio Libeskind in Berlin and as an Associate at Lab Architecture. Daniel is driven by the capacity of architecture to structure the relationships between ‘things' – buildings, materials, spaces, functions, interior and exterior. So....What's actually going on? Protein vs Fibre Protein is everywhere right now, from yoghurts to snack bars to cereals. Meanwhile, fibre is suddenly being hailed as the key to gut health and longevity. So which one should you actually be prioritising? In this bite-sized episode, Michelle untangles the science behind protein and fibre, explaining what each one does in the body and why this isn't an either/or decision. She explores why protein matters — particularly in midlife when muscle mass and metabolic health become more relevant — and why, despite the hype, most people already meet their basic protein needs. At the same time, fibre intake often falls short, even though it plays a crucial role in gut health, blood sugar balance and long-term wellbeing. If you're feeling confused by shifting nutrition trends, this episode offers a calm, evidence-informed perspective to help you build real-life health without swinging between extremes.

Because being “not so fkn typical” isn't just struggling and spiralling and forgetting to drink water like a lizard (no comment). It's also: + being weirdly calm in a crisis + building instant rapport + making people feel safe + being deeply curious about humans tick + out of the box solutions + humour as a coping mechanism (hello gif of people flying car bonnets) We also talk about how hard it can be to say “I'm good at this” without your brain yelling WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? So you're doing it anyway. YOUR TURN: What's your superpower? Type it. Say it out loud. Claim it. “I'm actually really fkn good at this”.
