We are back baby with part 2 of our mini relationship break up series. As two millennials who are NOT married, who have NOT had kids and only one of us having had a long term relationship, we can only comment on what we know. Every break up is different. Some reasons they end may be similar but the people involved are always different which means different endings and outcomes.  We discuss in this episode things you should (or shouldn't) do to cope with your breakup.  We discuss grieving the relationship, NOT drinking and messaging, surrounding yourselves with loved ones and keeping things amicable.  Also - can you be friends with your ex? Should you be? AHHH let us know!  As always please like and subscribe to our podcast and leave us a review!  Look our for Part 3 - Moving On & Up coming out in 2 weeks!

Holy heck, we're at episode 20?! Well technically we should've been there awhile a go but you know, life got in the way etc etc etc. Welcome to our new regular (not gonna say fortnightly or weekly) but regular podcast! We are kicking it back off with part one of a three part relationship series: "HOW TO BREAK UP WELL". So what does it mean to break up 'well'? Basically how you should approach a break up - realisation of why and when you should break up as well as how to approach the break up situation itself - where it's done, what to do and especially what NOT to do (helllooooo ghosting!!!) As always - it would mean a lot if you Followed, Subscribed and rated/reviewed our podcast on either Spotify or iTunes as that helps us put out the poddy to more people. Oke doke artichoke episode 18 here we are! Today we're talking settling in relationships. What is settling? Why do we do it? How do you know if you're settling for less than what you deserve? Is there a thing as being too picky, and why you need to know what you want in a relationship.  Lots of content to cover and lots of questions from Bon and Lloyd. We initially thought this episode would be a piece of cake, but it proved to just have so many angles. If there's one thing to take away from this episode - relationships shouldn't be hard work, they should feel comfortable and natural. You're always going to have ups and downs, but the positives should always outweigh the negatives.  You are worthy of love and to be loved whole heartedly and to be with someone who deserves and respects you.  There's your Monday motivation for you.     ** We do not own any of the rights to the music used in this clip.  Credit to Labrinth - STILL DON'T KNOW MY NAME

The hiatus is over... again. Lord we have had a wild past few weeks and needed some time off to process what's been going on in our lives... buuuuuut now we're back with a brand new episode on the problems associated with COMPARISON, COMPETITION AND COMPASSION.  We hear "comparison is the thief of joy" regularly, but what does that actually mean? How does comparison steal your happiness? We also delve into the concept of being overly competitive bringing you down as well as the problems with having TOO MUCH compassion and being too kind. lol wut?  Our recommendations for the week:  Lloyd - Buy 1 house every year for the next 10 years.... good luck with that one guys. On a more achievable note, his other recommendation was "fill your own cup". Make 2021 the year to look after and prioritise you in whatever way you possibly can. Bon - Watch 'Framing Britney Spears' the documentary & let us know what you think! Also watch 'It's a Sin' on Stan. Bon is aware she accidentally said LGBTIQ instead of LGBTQI... she's sorry about this. Finally - watch this powerful clip on privilege and how unfair it is on yourself to compare where you are with someone else without understanding that we all have different pasts and different advances into the world.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=ZZuucE4R65Q&feature=emb_logo

Many people are burnt out from social events galore, christmas festivities, stress and work responsibilities. When all else fails, kindness goes a long way. You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors or personal battles they're facing. Here's your little reminder that a smile, checking in with someone or doing a random act of kindness doesn't take much, but it can make a big difference in someones day. We look into the concept of "SMART" goals when setting them and how this allows us to stick to them more.  Specific (simple, sensible, significant). Measurable (meaningful, motivating). Achievable (agreed, attainable). Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based). Time bound (time-based, time limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).   To try out Jan L Bowen's Life Purpose Quiz, head to  https://janlbowen.com/purposequiz/

Is it because you feel as though you have to people please? You feel guilty if you don't say yes? You just wanted to be like and you're scared that by saying no it's going to make someone dislike you? Interesting hey?  Saying "no" is a life skill that we all need to learn.. but is it easier said than done? What are some ways you can say no without offending people? When is it acceptable to say no? Lloydy & Bon discuss all of the above in "THE POWER OF SAYING NO"

HEEEELLLOOOOOOOOOO ! Episode 6 - we've almost made it to number 7 - the (unofficial) podcaster goal of being an ONGOING PODDY.. (almost, let's not get ahead of ourselves here). TODAY WE TALK RED FLAGS. You know that sign that flashes saying "danger" or "warning"? That there, is a red flag.. and we're here today talking about the red flags we so commonly miss in relationships, friendships and workplaces. Sometimes they're less obvious - because we're not actively looking for flaws in someone or something, other times they're so bloody crystal clear it's like a red flag to a bull ... but we choose to ignore it. Why is it important to identify red flags? Because red flags are an indication that something is not right - it's an issue, something that NEEDS to be addressed, avoided or eliminated. They're called red flags for a reason.. it's a warning! What makes a person toxic? What are toxic signs to look out for in a workplace, relationship or friendship? We got you covered here. Remember fill your own cup first. It's important to be able to distinguish between those that drain you, and those that will fill up your cup. YOU DO YOU BOO! As you get older, you are busy, have more responsibilities and priorities. Make sure the people you make time for are people who will lift you up and who would do the same for you.
