Whether you're a well seasoned daughter or new to the Kingdom family, we all are called to a life of prayer and communication with Christ. But sometimes, the “how” we pray can get muffled and messy, and hard to navigate. In these vulnerable moments with the Lord, I like to practice seeking out new prayer strategies that can be found in the Bible, and this one of my favorites, that I have been able to see God move through in massive ways. This simple prayer strategy is one that has changed my life, and one I am using even now in the midst of a messy season. I've used it time and time again: I used it before I knew who, or if, the Lord had a man in mind for me to call my husband. I used it when I met the man the Lord clearly wanted me to marry (because you can't be too sure, right?!). I've used it on multiple continents, and I'm using it now as I navigate through the last few months of my pregnancy and all the crazy that this season entails.I call it: “Laying out the fleece”, and God has used this prayer strategy to produce steadfast faith and newfound joy in our relationship, daily! So are you game for challenging yourself to a new prayer strategy and seeing what He can do for you when you “lay out your fleece”? You never know, it could be soaking wet on dry ground. Is it even possible as humans to achieve perfect balance? The dictionary definition of this word reads, “a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions” and their verbatim example of this word used in a sentence is "try to keep a balance between work and relaxation". Yes, even the dictionary definition includes an example telling us that we should be striving to keep a balance (or equal parts) between work and relaxation - or life.My heart for the women in my life, and in this space, is to get to watch them to leave the hustle behind and holistically live out what God has for them with a grace-based approach to balancing life and business.
