Marvin Constant talks about his career in Tuscaloosa. Marvin was a dominant linebacker in his first season in 1999 earning him All-SEC Freshman selection. Constant epitomized what the game of football represents in the way he played the game. Marvin was a physical linebacker that could run sideline to sideline. He was a strong linebacker that could bench well over 450 pounds back in his playing days and is best known for his goal line tackle in 1999 against LSU in Tuscaloosa. The tackle ended the game in Bryant-Denny Stadium to give the Crimson Tide the 23-17. The tackle would cost Constant his atheltic career as he was injured on the play. However, being the competitor that Marvin was he perserveed and went to tackle the game of life. He wrote a book called "A Man Who Bleeds Crimson". Marvin is a class act and shows that the game of football teahces more than just sports.
Former Syracuse and NFL star Donovin Darius spoke with Joe Lisi about his outstanding career in college and the NFL. Donovin was a standout for the Orangeman from 1994-1997 and became two-time All Big East selection in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, Darius became the All-Big East Defensive Player of the Year which led to him being drafted in the 1st round of the 1998 NFL Draft (25th overall). Darius was a standout at the safety position for Syracuse who played the game with intensity and great work ethic. He was a fantastic in run support and was able to make plays sidleine to sidleine against opposing offenses. Donovin finished his career in Syracuse with 379 total tackles. Donovin was drafted by te Jacksonville Jaguars in 1998 and spent nine years with the team from 1998-2006. During that time he recorded 624 total tackles, 14 interceptions and 2 sacks and became the leader of the secondary. He was a dominant hitter at the safety position and was one of the best safeties in the NFL during his playing days. After his playing days were over in 2007, Darius began working on life after football and has spent his time giving back to younger athletes of all ages through his charity called: The Donovin Darius Foundation. Fayton had great size and strength and had some amazing receptions in his career while in Knoxville. Fayton had soft hands and ran crisp routes while helping lead the Volutneers to some memorable victories in Tennessee football.

Mike was a member of both National Championships in 1994 and 1995. He became a 2nd round selection for the Carolina Panthers and had an outstanding career in his ten year career recording 782 total tackles, 11 sacks with 17 interceptions and 4 touchdowns. Mike was a member of the Carolina Panthers Super Bowl team that played the New England Patriots with Tom Brady in 2003.

He became a first round draft pick in the 1998 NFL Draft (13th overall) by the Cincinnati Bengals and had an amazing 15 year career in the NFL with the Bengals, Bills, 49'ers and Chargers. In his NFL career, Spikes recorded 1,423 tackles, 29 sacks, 19 interceptions and 15 forced fumbles. Spikes had a great NFL career and is a roel model off the field asa well. Currently, Spikes is affiliated with the Jack Brewer Foundation which helps impoverished communities in the United States and abroad. Spikes recently returned from a trip to Haiti which JBF brought much needed relied to the country in helping people recover from the devastating earthquakes.

Anthony Davis Joins Joe Lisi On The Weekly Blitz. Anthony Davis was a standout for the Badgers from 2001-2004 rushing for 4,676 yards averaging 5.1 yards peer carry with 42 rushinng touchdowns. Davis became a 7th round selection by the Indianapolis Colts and at the time he left Wisconsin, Davis was the second leading rusher behind fomer Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne. Davis still ranks 4th best in school history and he speaks about Melvin Gordon's decision not to run the 40 yard dash in today's pro day for the Badgers. Davis also discusses where Gordon can develop on the next level and what the outlook is for the Badger in the upcoming 2015 season. Keion Carpenter joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz. Carpenter was a standout form 1995-1998 for the Virginia Tech Hokies. He had 10 career interceptions in Blacksburg and 2 touchdowns. In 1996, Carpenter had a memorable 100 yard interception against the University of Miami. Carpenter was a physical safety who was excellent in run support. He excelled in taking aaway the field from opposing quartebacks and led the team in interceptionns in 1997/1998. Carpenter became an undrafted free agent in 1999 with the Buffalo Bills and made the team because of his ability to play special teams. Carpenter played with Buffalo from 1999-2001 and with the Atlanta Falcons from 2001-2005. In his NFL career, Carpenter recorded 206 total tackles with 14 interceptions and 1 touchdown. After his playing career concluded, Carpenter created the Carpenter House which allows underpriviledged familes the opportunity to purchase affordable housing in the Balitmore, Maryland area. Carpenter is a positive role model for atheltes of all ages and is giving back the community after his playing days. Former Georgia Tech RB Jimy Lincoln joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz. Lincoln played in Atlanta from 1991-1994 and rushed for 1,601 yards averaging 4.2 yards per carry with 5 touchdowns. Lincoln had great vision and explosiveness in his game and helped lead the Yellow Jackets offensive attack during his redshirt freshman season to an 8-5 overall record. Lincoln played the game with intensity and was not afraid to run between the tackles. He would hit the running lanes with great speed and was elusive in making tacklers miss. Lincoln was utilized in the passing game as well and caught 35 passes in his career for 289 yards.
Former Arkansas And NFL Star DB Ken Hamlin Joins Joe Lisi On The Weekly Blitz Ken Hamlin was a standout defensive back from 2000-2002 and had a school record with 381 total tackles in his outstanding college career. Hamlin was a fierce defender who was excellent in run support. He was the first player in school history to record over 100 tackles in three consecutive seasons. Hamlin was an All-SEC performer and was a player that played his best in the Razorbacks biggest contests. Hamlin was a tough player and an excellent defender that will be remebered for his intensity/work ethic. Hamlin and teammate Ahmad Carroll formed one of the best secondaries in the SEC during their career. Hamlin was a part of the history in 200 when the Razorbacks defeated the LSU Tigers 21-20 on a Hail Mary to win the game. His 381 total tackles broke the school record of 367 (Cliff Powell) and propelled Hamlin to being drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Hamlin was a physical defensive back who finished his NFL career with 489 tackles, 15 interceptions and 5 sacks. Hamlin played for Seattle, Dallas , Baltimore and Indianapolis from (2003-2010).
Former Illinois running back/fullback Carey Davis joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Bitz. Davis played from 2000-2003 and caught 114 passes for 751 receiving yards with 5 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,012 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground. Davis was a tough hard nosed player that played the game with intensity and heart. Davis had a blue collar attitude that epitomized the Illini team. Davis played special teams and did the "dirty" work between the tackles. He was an outstanding blocker and utilized in the passing game because of his pass catching ability. Davis was an all-around back that was the ultimate team player. He played the game with great emotion and played every down with his best effort. Davis became an undrafted free agent in 2004 and played in the NFL from 2004-2010 winning a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in their victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa Bay.

Former Kansas State linebacker, Percell Gaskins, joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz. Gaskins was a NAIA Champion high jumper out of Nortwestern Oklahoma State in 1992 and transferred to Kansas State in 1993. He had an outstanding career in Manhattan,KS for the Wildcats in help leading the team an overall 28-7-1 record from 1993-1995 with three Top 25 final rankings. Gaskins was an intense player that coulld move sideline to sidleine to make plays. He played with great emotion and was a very athletic linebacker for the Wildcats that made big plays in the biggest games. Gaskins became a 4th round draft pick in the 1996 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams and head coach Rich Brooks. Gaskins played in 15 games making 36 total tackles and played in 1997 for the Carolina Panthers. Today, Gaskins is the head football coach at Garinger high school in North Carolina. He is a postive role model by mentoring yoounger athletes in helping them acheive their goals on and off the field. Garnger has had only 5 winning seasons in the last 40 years, however, Gaskins is helping turn around the mindset of the program utilizing the principles that his former head coach Bill Synder taught him at Kansas State.
Former big play quarterback for the TCU Horned Frogs Max Knake joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz. Knake was a strong armed quarterback who played from 1992-1995 and completed 55.8% of his passes for 7,370 yards with 49 touchdowns. He was not afraid to stand in the pocket and had poise locating his receivers downfield. Knake led the Horned Frogs to a share of the SWC title in 1994 when TCU had a 7-5 overall record.
Former Virginia Tech Hokies QB Sean Glennon joins Joe Lisi on the Weekly Blitz. Glennon threw for 4,867 yards and 28 touchdowns in his career and was the 2007 ACC Championship MVP in the 30-16 victory over Boston College.
Leonard Marshall joins Joe Lisi on the Weekly Blitz. Marshall played at LSU before being selected in the 2nd round of the 1983 NFL Draft (37th overall) by the New York Giants. Marshall had an amazing career from 1983-1994 with the New York Giants, New York Jets and Washington Redskins. Marhsall played the game with great intensity and had an amzaing work ethic that allowed him to be one of the most dominant interior lineman of his era. Marshall had great speed and strength which forced double teams and allowed the New York Giants linebackers to fill the running lanes. Former FSU RB Sammie Smith joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz. Smith was the 9th overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. During 1985-1998 Smith rushed for 2,539 yards averaging 6.2 yards per carry with 15 touchdowns for the Seminoles. He also added 19 receptions for 211 yards and another 3 receiving touchdowns in his college career.
Former Alabama quarterback Andrew Zow joins Joe Lisi on THE WEEKLY BLITZ to discuss his great career in Tuscaloosa. Andrew Zow played for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 1998-2001 and threw for 5,983 yards and 35 touchdowns. Zow had a big arm and led the Crimson Tide back in some of the most memorable victories in Alabama history. Zow had great pocket awareness and was able to fit the ball through tight windows in locating his receivers. Zow was a mobile quarterback who was dangerous when he broke contain outside the pocket. Some of Andrew's victories include: In 1998, Zow led the Crimson Tide back in a memorable 4th quarter against LSU in Death Valley as Alabama won 22-17. In 1999, Zow engineered the victory in the Swamp against the top ranked Florida Gators 40-39 in overtime. In the 2001 Independence Bowl against Iowa State, Andrew connecteed with Terry Jones Jr. on a late touchdown pass to give the Crimson Tide the victory 14-13 in the bowl game. Andrew showed great composure in big games and played his best against superior competition. Currently, Zow is the head football coach at Montevallo High School located in Montevallo, Alabama.
Former Ohio State running back Vince Workman joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz. Workman was a standout for the Buckeyes from 1985-1988 rushing for 1,882 yards averaging 4.6 yards per carry with 13 rushing touchdowns. He was an excellent receiver who caught 54 passes for 584 yards with 2 touchdowns. Workman played in the NFL from 1989-1996 rushing for 1,737 yards averaging 4.4 yards per carry with 13 touchdowns. He also caught 179 passes for 1,294 yards with 7 touchdowns. Workman was an all purpose running back who played with intensity and heart. He went on to be a scout for the Packers from 1999-2001 and become assistant strength coach for Green Bay from 2001-2005.
