The one where . . . .Suzy speaks to Josh Grisdale, a Canadian-born power wheelchair user living in Tokyo. Josh created and runs www.accessible-japan.com, which contains info on accessible accommodation, restaurants and tourist sites in - you guessed it - Japan! Suzy met Josh in January before the COVID-19 lockdown and planned to air the episode just prior to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games taking place. Even though the Games have been postponed, their discussion about the attitudinal change to disability that's occurring in Japan and how the nation is trying to build a "barrier free" culture is insightful and relevant, Games or no Games. The one where . . .Suzy speaks to Henry Hazlewood, head of cricket programmes at the Lord's Taverners', about the charity's disability cricket programmes - Super 1s and Table Cricket - the importance of understanding and measuring impact, and keeping connected to participants and their families during the COVID-19 lockdown. Suzy then speaks to Sam Alderson, one of the participants, to hear first-hand what the cricket programmes have done for him, how he's overcome barriers to become a coach and is now a role model for other disabled young people.
