Alana & Shay are in the final half of Hulu's The Girl From Plainville. The ladies are in agreement that the last two episodes (5 & 6) could have been smooshed together. With Alana walking around and Shay looking at her phone, their interest kind of waned this week. Which is interesting, considering it was the start of the trial episodes. Alana & Shay are in the final half of HBO's The Staircase! Episode 5 was much of the same for Shay, but episode 6 FINALLY pulled her out of her phone and glued her eyes to the screen. A new theory in Kathleen Peterson's death allowed Shay's number one fear (birds) to become a *possible* reality. However, Alana isn't so sure. Speaking of unsuredness (that's a word, right?), there's a certain scene in the episodes of Hulu's The Girl From Plainville that had the ladies scratching their heads and saying WHAT? in their best Minion voice. And last, but most certainly not least, in lieu of pop culture, Alana & Shay spend some time discussing the terrifying SCOTUS ruling that dropped last week. Alana & Shay are back from their midseason break and they're feeling all refreshed, renewed, and rejuvenated! Of course, coming back, the ladies were ready to discuss two NEW shows: The Circle and The Thing About Pam! Shay & Alana have been keeping up with The Circle since season 1. So, to stay on brand, it's no surprise season 4 was on the Whole Snacks Podcast TV Guide. The pod's episode 13 is all about the first half of The Circle. Who are the girls' faves & who had them scratching their head? You'll have to tune in to find out! Even though Shay made a mistake and watched this one prior (her exact words to Alana were: too bad we didn't pick The Thing About Pam for the pod bc this show is SOOO good– to which Alana replied with the straightest of face emoji . . .), the Snacks still kept this one on the roster because it was too good not to discuss. #shaysnumberoneshowof2022sofar (disclaimer: we are very aware this hashtag is extremely long and probably won't stick, but there it is). Like with The Circle, Alana & Shay are discussing half of the series with the first 3 episodes! Tune in to hear their thoughts and be sure to pop back in next week for the second halves of both The Circle & The Thing About Pam! Welcome back, Snack Pack! It's the midseason finale! So, of course, we had to wrap up some shows before we take a little breaky-break. In this episode, Shay and Alana share their final thoughts on the very first season of The Ultimatum: it was . . . a thing. Alana loved it. Shay liked the second half. Will they watch season 2 when it airs? The show has already been greenlit for more awkward dates with your friend's significant other. We wanna know what you think! Should Alana and Shay cringe– binge– their way through another season? (If you're on Spotify, answer the poll!- for a limited time) Lastly, it's another documentary for your viewing pleasure and your earhole's pleasure (for when you listen to the girl's commentary): Netflix's White Hot. In under an hour and a half, we learned all about the background discrimination and sexualization of the former Abercrombie & Fitch. (Abercrombie is currently under new ownership, rebranded, and has strayed far away from their past.) Alana and Shay get into some deep discussion before moving on to very scattered pop culture news. But hey, it's interesting news nonetheless! Check out this final episode before the snacks return for the remainder of season 3 on May 24th!
