It's a Christmas miracle! Pete's back!! Of course that means that he wants to talk about Black Adam. But since that's been beaten to death, we move it to the end of the show for you. That said, the show does kick off with a rare moment of reality. The guys take a moment to discuss the loss of Stephen tWitch Boss this week. It's a heavy topic for the show, but they guys handle it with the care it deserves, for once. After the heavy bits, the guys unload on the DCEU as it stood with the Snyderverse. Then it's all about what is coming next under Gunn. After that, they switch gears to Christmas with the new holiday film, Spirited with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. Kevin then discusses the Christmas Zombie horror flick, Anna and the Apocalypse. It's a musical, much like Spirited, but also very different... Sticking with the horror vibe, Kevin and Andrew discuss The Conjuring and whether or not it was scary to non-Catholics! For those that cant get enough of Black Adam, though, the convo with Pete is moved to the end. If you're here for that, skip to the last 45 minutes and hear the guys unload! As always, thanks for watching. We may not have an episode next week, but we wish you all the happiest of holidays. As always, don't forget to like and subscribe. If you're feeling gracious, give the gift of a link to the show to your friends and family!!

Unregulated tactical accessories are making guns more lethal - Part I of a two-part series. This Tuesday, Radio GAG will explore the issue of unregulated tactical accessories, in a two-part series, starting with the "auto sear." Although AR-type rifles are often involved in mass shootings, handguns are actually the most used weapon. Handguns and ARs have now become more deadly than ever thanks to the auto sear, which will convert a conventional semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic one for only $20. Radio GAG's guest this week is Alain Stephens, who will explain the auto sear and how this little Lego-like device is challenging law enforcement as the death count rises. Our "In Memorium" will commemorate Stephen “Twitch” Boss, whose recent suicide shocked his many friends and fans. We will also hear from Jay W. Walker and Sonni Moon from the GAG march/rally for the victims of Monterey Park shooting.

We're re-releasing this epsiode from season one in honour of the recent passing of Stephen Boss.  Mental health is such an important thing to talk about. If you or someone you know is struggling in any way, please reach out to somebody and know you're not alone. We acknowledge that this episode may be triggering for some people — at the bottom of this page we've added a list of organisations that provide short and long term mental health support services.  -  Today, we have an OG dance community head Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who came from the grassroots dance community and broke his way into Hollywood. Twitch has done everything from competing on shows like Star Search, The Wade Robson Project, and So You Think Can Dance, and found himself as a runner-up in all those shows. He didn't let the loss from these shows take him off his path to make his mark for dance. He kept pushing, and in doing so found opportunities to venture into other disciplines such as acting and hosting. The gold about Twitch's story is not all the accolades and projects he's been on, but really his sharply focused “WHY.” In this chat, Twitch really breaks down the importance of being honest and true with yourself. He says that at the end of the day, the “hustle” just becomes noise that will never quiet down until you figure out what is authentic to you. This couch conversation goes deep and hits home in the realest way. - UK: Mind have a list of 24/7 mental health crisis hotlines: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/guides-to-support-and-services/crisis-services/helplines-listening-services/ The Listening Place: https://listeningplace.org.uk/i-need-help/ Local Mind support services: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/local-minds/ Maytree Suicide Respite Centre: https://www.maytree.org.uk/ SOS Silence of Suicide: https://sossilenceofsuicide.org/talking-suicide/ YoungMinds Crisis Messenger: https://www.youngminds.org.uk/young-person/shout-85258/ Hub of Hope (mental health support database): https://hubofhope.co.uk/ US: Call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988: https://988lifeline.org/  IMAlive at 1-800-784-2433: https://www.imalive.org/ DBSA have an extensive list of hotlines: https://www.dbsalliance.org/crisis/suicide-hotline-helpline-information/ The Jed Foundation: https://jedfoundation.org/ The Trevor Project: https://www.thetrevorproject.org/get-help/ The Veterans Crisis Line: https://www.veteranscrisisline.net/ Samaritans USA: http://www.samaritansusa.org/contact.php Trans Lifeline: https://translifeline.org/

But that will have to wait until next week. Instead, I want to talk about mental health. Specifically men's mental health, male stereotypes and the problems that arise from not talking about what's happening in your own head. I'm guilty of not sharing these feelings myself. After the tragic suicide of Stephen "tWitch" Boss on December 13th, I feel compelled to start an important conversation about the mental and physical health of men and our unwillingness to talk about our problems. Being a hustler does not require you work yourself to death. There's no value in that. The More Sibyl Podcast Presents: 혼자아니야| The One with Olabimpe Shode - On Suicide - Inspired by tWitch's Story: Episode 36 (2022)2022 has been quite the year. As we wrap it up, Bimpe and I thought to share our thoughts on a critical topic – suicide inspired by a recent event. A few weeks ago, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, aged 40, a husband, father, DJ, and former executive producer of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" died by suicide. Though we both don't have any personal ties to him, the news of his demise affected us. Suicide rates have peaked in recent years due to COVID, and men, especially Black men, have been reported to be at a higher risk. So, here's a reminder to check in on them.In this episode, we shared our collective experiences with suicide, near brushes, and those we lost through it. In her book, Stay: A History of Suicide and the Philosophies Against It, Jennifer Michael Hecht said, "Suicides happen in clusters, with one person's suicide influencing the other's. If a parent commits suicide, his or her children are three times as likely to do so at some point in their lives. People in the act of committing suicide may feel isolated, but, in fact, they are deeply connected to those around." As Hecht put it, if you want your loved ones to make it through their dark nights, you have to make it through yours.'And if you are reading this at a very tender and vulnerable moment, we are here to remind you that you are needed here with us. So consider staying; you are not forgotten! We are rooting for you. Stay.

With the recent suicide of Stephen “Twitch” Boss, I knew it was time to have this chat. Behind that confident smile can be someone struggling to keep it together. I know this personally as someone who attempted to commit suicide more than once. There isn't a stereotypical look for someone thinking about suicide. The person next to you in line or your best friend can be secretly struggling. Surviving suicide is one of the hardest things I've done. The shame and guilt alone made me wish I didn't make it. But I survived the suicide attempts and how people treated me afterward. Today I want to shine a light on suicide, especially in the Black community, where there's this stigma around mental health and suicide. It's time to remove this need to “perform” and “be” to heal. If you're having suicidal thoughts, I encourage you to call 988 for help. I pray this episode will help us have an honest conversation about suicide, why someone would want to end their life, and resources if money is a barrier to getting help.

Episode 245 | “Reality Multiverse”  Si & Veronica are lighting menorahs and prepping for the holidays with episode 245! Chris Harrison is getting back into the entertainment game with a new podcast that really is coining the catchphrase we all know and love (and maybe love to hate). Will he get Bachelor folks in on the pod? Kira and Romeo are another failed BIP couple after some subposting by both parties on Instagram. Hannah Brown is looking for her bag while being on the cast of a new reality show called “Special Forces: The Ultimate Test”. Looks like Susie might be crossing into Love is Blind territory with some convos with one of the villain castmates from that show. Meanwhile, many fans want her to be a bachelorette lead pick.  (Bachelor talk ends at time marker 27m:20s) Rest in Peace to Stephen “tWitch” Boss. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and loved ones. Make sure you reach out to a loved one this week and let them know how much you care about them. People are wondering if Emrata and Pete Davidson have sizzled after seeing him at a different sporting event with his “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies” costar and seeming snuggly. We finally got to see a bit of what Rihanna's baby boy looks like this week on TikTok and those genes are strong! The Barbie trailer looks like the perfect fever dream that we have to wait half a year to see. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS In Texas, White officer Aaron Dean was convicted of manslaughter for the 2019 killing of Atatiana Jefferson in her residence. Her 8-year-old nephew witnessed the killing and testified at the trial. Many non-white Texans believed Dean should have convicted of murder - which would have warranted a longer sentence. Next door in Louisiana, 5 officers were charged for the police killing of Ronald Greene. This black male was pummeled, choked and dragged by his shackles before before his death the same year as Ms. Jefferson. Many across the country were shocked by the news that Ellen DeGeneres's black male college, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, reportedly took his own life. A "married" attempted father of three children, no one had clues that Boss was dealing with mental health problems. This Victim of Racism was heavily involved with the allegations that DeGeneres's allowed a toxic and racist work environment where employees were mistreated. We also hear more about the attacks on numerous US electrical power grids, and Patti LaBelle being literally snatched off stage by security in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after bomb threats were called in to the venue. #BlackMentalHealth #TheCOWS13 INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 605.313.5164 CODE 564943#

I can't say that I've ever seen the world react to a celebrity passing the way we have to the untimely death by suicide of Stephen "tWitch" Boss. Personally, the last two days have given me the gift of a new perspective. I am changed because of it. I see things differently. I will never ask “why” or “how could they do that” again.  Yes we need to de-stigmatize discussions around depression, anxiety and suicide ideation, but it's more than that. We need to educate those of us who don't understand it so we can show up differently. We have to lift the shame and guilt that people feel when they experience depression.  Because those in this community who have in fact felt the dark, damp heavens of depression generously shared their inner demons with us, this episode will help those who say, “It just doesn't make sense” to have a deeper appreciation and understanding and my prayer is that it makes those of you who have been there feel seen.  I hope you'll listen to this one too…  I hope you'll stay.  Please call 988 if you are in crisis.   Links for today's episode: Take the ACE Test Listen to Episode Surviving Suicide | Please Stay #588     Thank you to our sponsor Talkspace.com!!
