Amy Spreeman recently sat down with our good friend Dave Jenkins on his podcast called Contending for the Word to talk about the marks of theological liberalism, or as it’s more commonly known, “Progressive Christianity.” What do Christians need to know about this movement seeping into many churches, and how can we contend for the […]
Five years ago today (L-R top row) Michelle Lesley, Amy Spreeman, Susan Heck, (L-R bottom row) Martha Peace, DebbieLynne Kespert, and myself here at The End Time, in tandem on our individual platforms, released an Open Letter to Beth Moore asking her 5 simple questions about her stance on homosexuality. Though Beth constantly remarks on cultural and social issues on her various platforms, to our knowledge we had never seen her take a stance on the sin of homosexuality. We felt it was important to get clarity on this from her, especially since she had (and still has) an enormous global platform with millions of followers. The event was instructive. In this episode I explain why: 1. What happened? 2. Why couldn't she just answer?! 3. What does the Bible say? Quite often when I publish an essay regarding false doctrine brought by a false teacher, I receive angry comments and emails telling me to 'judge not' and the like. But strangely, the angrier emails and comments I receive come when I publish an essay urging women to behave biblically. My, how so many women resent being urged to behave like biblical women! Today I speak of how women should act, especially female teachers, speakers, and podcasters. This is a 2019 blog I've recorded now in 2023. Links to good podcasters: Podcast by The Thankful Homemaker: Cultivating Self-Control. Contains good thoughts on approaching Christian life and holy things with reverence, which includes self-control. Michelle Lesley and Amy Spreeman are Christian bloggers, speakers, and teachers. They project a demeanor of joy without silliness. Both the theological content and their speaking style are, in my opinion reverent, and self-controlled. Check out their A Word Fitly Spoken podcast here. Dr. Shelbi Cullen and Kimberly Cummings at The Women's Hope podcast also speak with a quiet, self-controlled demeanor, respecting the biblical content with proper gravitas.
Michelle and Amy discuss ways to share the Good News that are unique to the holiday season.

Halloween is a multi-billion dollar celebration marked by witches, ghosts and goblins, candy and parties. Not all Christians take part in Halloween. Some have taken a step back to rethink this tradition, and they have changed how they look at Halloween. Others say they honor God through Halloween by making it a Christian outreach — […]
In a podcast crossover event, Michelle Lesley and Amy Spreeman of "A Word Fitly Spoken" join Rich and Chris to discuss women's roles in the church. What does Scripture command women to do in training up younger ladies in the Church? And are there prohibitions to the means by which they teach? Show Links: A Word Fitly Spoken Bible.Org - Titus 2
On February 2 I was interviewed by two wonderful ladies of the faith, Amy Spreeman and Michelle Lesley. Their podcast is called A Word Fitly Spoken, a great title for a podcast! The result of the podcast is here, it was broadcast already and I'm humbled by the opportunity to speak of Jesus, doctrine, and discernment as our wide ranging conversation went. Their website for the podcast is here, where you can catch ALL their podcasts! I recommend the podcast and also their individual efforts in the faith, Michelle's website Michelle Lesley- Discipleship for Christian Women and Amy's at Berean Research and Naomi's Table Bible Studies for Women. We've been discussing the issues with women's ministry since this podcast began, with churches experiencing women's Bible studies either plagued by back biting, fluffy or flat-out heretical lessons, or nonexistent growth. Doreen Virtue, my dear sister-in-Christ, shares this concern and was gracious enough to spend some time discussing this with me. As she's spent the last couple years in seminary, after realizing she wasn't getting the theological education she was longing for, she recognizes the issues of women's ministry and their affect on the church. Beth Moore has finally eschewed biblical complementarianism and come out of the egalitarian closet. In this program, I interview Susan Heck (who has every book in the New Testament memorized and several in the Old) about her concerns with Beth Moore. A few years after saying she's "preached" multiple times in churches and editing out material decrying homosexuality from one of her books, Bible teacher Beth Moore has announced her departure from the Southern Baptist Convention. And now, her feminist fans are hailing her as an "icon" who continues a "historic movement for gender equality among evangelical women." What impact could Moore's SBC exodus have on the accelerating evangelical downgrade into the unbiblical acceptance of female church leadership and homosexuality? I'll talk it over with Amy Spreeman, founder of Berean Research. That's on Monday's JANET MEFFERD TODAY.

Today the gals have gotten together a list of the concerning influencers currently teaching women today. They'll address each one, and eventually point to a list of women who are a Biblically sound alternative. We hope that this episode will be helpful to both our female and male listeners. Hopefully by now the recent events surrounded Moore have calmed down enough for us all to sit down and have a genuine conversation about whether or not she should be teaching. Thats what Lauren and Becca hope to do in this episode. Not only do they discuss what a false teacher is, but they also go into detail about how someone might go from teaching soundly to ignoring Scripture outright. During the episode the gals gave a few recommended teachers in place of Moore. These included Doreen Virtue and Melissa Dougherty, Michelle Lesley and Amy Spreeman, DebbieLynn Kespert, Coleen Sharp, Michelle & Betsy, and Elizabeth Prata.
