It was #1 on Hot 96 Charts in the U.S. SOPHIA started her professional career at 16 and opened for some of the UK's best such as Bristol based group Offside (Warner), Colourstone, and Kosheen. Spring 2009, her second single “ANOTHER DAY” (Nervous Records) reached the top five on Billboard and was on all radio playlists around the country and stayed on the Charts for 17 weeks and was voted the #20 Best Dance Airplay Song of the Decade in Billboard Magazine for 2009. SOPHIA has appeared at various Clubs in the United States and UK. She has done shows along side Lady GaGa, Michelle Williams and Cindy Lauper. Most recently she performed supported Nelly, Game, and Jeramih in the U.K. SOPHIA is in great demand as a singer, songwriter and has been asked to collaborate on numerous projects with many young producers and artists. With temperatures cresting 100 in many parts of the country, there's no let up on the dance floor either! The "heat" started right after this year's Winter Music Conference in Miami. The music just started streaming out from the labels, one hot song, one floor-filler after another. You have to know I wanted to release podcast after podcast filled with tunes from all the artists who's names are part of our everyday conversations: Madonna, Maria, Beyoncé and her sister Solange, the Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Pink, Lady GaGa (who's first single, "Just Dance," I actually disliked intensely), the Ting Tings, Kelly Clarkson, Wynona (yes, THAT Wynona, the country music star, Wynona Rider)... Hell, even the boys got in on the act: U2, the Pet Shop Boys, David Guetta, Enrique Iglesias... I mean it was literally non-stop with all the great tunes that kept coming and coming and coming... Unfortunately, I was so busy with the Gay Internet Radio Live (G.I.R.L.) GayDays contest, I didn't have time to use all of that great stuff in podcasts with the exception of my final-round set, Episode 25 of "Press Play" (while the rest of my entries can be heard in the streaming media player on my Website at www.dj-jester.com). But now, summer is upon us. We're all out celebrating Pride, and there's still plenty of great new stuff filling my DJ bag! Rather than go back a few months and sound like an FM radio station, I thought I'd make it up to you with the most current stuff I could get my hands on. So here you go: new music from Beyoncé, Whitney, the Pussycat Dolls, U2, David Guetta, Agnes (winner of the Swedish edition of "American Idol"), Sophia May, Bellatrax, Erica Jayne, and even a couple of less-familiar names like Chris Kaeser and Ralph Falcon. Some of these tunes have already hit #1; others are destined to be there within the next month-or-two. But anyway you want to look at it, these tunes are top-of-the-chart right now, and are likely to keep summer clubbing on fire! So get out your fan, turn up the air conditioning, and grab a large Sweet Tea from Mickey-D's, 'cause you're gonna need it! This one's definitely a "Scorcher!"

Okay, folks, we're in the home stretch before I take a much needed weekend break.  Starting things off, we get an updated early 90s classic "Just Another Sleepless Night" by Mad8 vs. Shawn Christopher and what a smokin' mix this is!  The original David Morales mix is a personal favorite while Out of Office delivers an updated electro take for today's floors.  I'm also serving up the two other Amanda Wilson tracks I promised "Love Resurrection" and "Surrender".  Though not quite as stellar as "Make It Real" these are still some nice additions to Miss Wilson's growing repertoire.  For those of you that remember the massive Moto Blanco mix of "If You Love Me'" by Chanel last year, well she's updated the song with a new electro mix by Disco Lips which retains all the characteristics of the previous with a bit of an edge.  This is kind of a no-brainer and should do very well.  Another song I'm really feeling at the moment is "When We're Together" by Morjac and Fred Falke featuring Sarah Tyler.  This is a big electro tune that drops into this Stevie Winwood sound from his "Arc of a Diver" period during the chorus.  I don't know, it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.LOL.  Another no-brainer is the already massive "Body Rock" by Oceana.  I had previously used the Twisted Dee mix in my Spring Edition and I've got to say that Dave Aude's take is equally as good.  This, of course, is followed by U2's latest "Magnificent" which by all accounts is just that.  In fact, U2 even sent Dave a personal note thanking him for such an outstanding job.  What's nice about this version is that it harkens back to the uplifting 80s sound that U2 is known for, just with an electro edge to it.  This is nothing short of brilliant and should take these guys back to the top of the club charts.  Speaking of the 80s, "Clothes Off" is an updated take on the 80's hit "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" by Jermaine Stewart.  Already burning up the floors, the Soul Seekerz do an excellent job of bringing the song into the here and now while retaining the nice sing-a-long chorus that made this song famous in the first place.  Keeping with the 80s theme, "Too Hot" by Rick Restanques and Linda Lee Hopkins employs a phat synth groove throughout the song that is very reminiscent of the Pointer Sisters' "Automatic."  I have to say this works wonders for the song and should do very well this summer.  Finally, I close things out with "Time 2 Wait" by Steelers and Naomi.  No doubt this is a surefire radio and club hit from the original to the Bellatrax mix represented here.  I expect big things for this song.
