Are you building with gold, silver, and precious stones - or wood, hay, and stubble? In this second guest episode with Alex Gray, Rick Stokes, and Trica Coronis, we join a provoking conversation about the Holy Spirit's work within us to refine us into gold, silver, and precious stones in His Kingdom. Precious stones do not appear on the surface of the earth. They have to be dug up from the deep recesses of the earth; refined through brokenness and pressure. It isn't about perfection or performance; it's about surrendering our independence and allowing God to do His work for us. It is not about perfecting our devotional routine or crafting eloquent messages. It comes from allowing God to do His deep work in us. Are you ready to enter in for yourself? Here we go! Connections. At the heart of it, libraries are about connections: books, movies, information, and, increasingly, people. And those connections have the potential to transform lives and communities. And, in fact, they already are.In this week's 7Bee Podcast, join us for a conversation with Brendan Mooney, IT manager at the East Bonner County Library; Alex Gray, technology teacher at Sandpoint High School; Damaso Mangabat, T-Mobile store manager in Ponderay;Michelle Buck; Frank Foderaro, Lifelong Learning coordinator at EBCL; and Brenden Bobby, STEM coordinator.

We talk about the high expectations and demands placed on teachers in international schools, as well as the importance of continuous professional development and collaboration. Alex shares his personal journey from teaching in the UK to working in Dubai, highlighting the benefits and challenges of the international education system. We also touch on the issue of work-life balance and the potential for burnout in a fast-paced and competitive environment. The conversation covers topics such as time planning for teachers, the challenges of short contracts, the stability of teaching jobs in the UK, the motivation behind starting a podcast, the value of podcasting as professional development, the potential of podcasting in education, and the future of exams and education. However, schools are increasingly recognising the importance of teacher well-being and implementing policies to support it. - Teachers often struggle with time planning and time management, which can affect their productivity and work-life balance. - Starting a podcast can be a fulfilling and valuable form of professional development, allowing educators to connect with others and learn from their experiences. - Podcasting has the potential to be a powerful tool in education, providing a platform for sharing ideas, showcasing student work, and delivering content in a different format. - Adaptability is a key skill that students will need in the future, as the world continues to change rapidly.
