We are frequently asked, reminded, or even commanded to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. But what if those prayers have already been answered in the negative? Perhaps it is time to quit wasting our breath on redundant prayers in spite of God's clear answer and instead pray, think, and experiment to see what ministry might look like in the future.
